Her home is beautiful! She seems like a very lovely person, and she loves her home and family, and it shows in the way that she speaks. There’s nothing wrong with being happy and excited about your family and home.
Lovely. This place is a flower - a very soft one, that glows in the sun. Respect and appreciate Monica's focus on the *entryway. So deeply agree - it sets tone, spirit, and aesthetics of the occupant. Great idea. Best to this charming family. Many years of joy in this embracing space.
Love the dark wood of the chairs and the black antique cabinet in the living room. Its so important to have these anchor pieces in light rooms for contrast. Very tastefully done. And love the matching dollhouse on the floor!!! I agree the exterior entry sets the tone for the home as soon as you arrive. The over sized cachepot on the kitchen island is simple perfection! Love the color and pattern. And the small little table and rattan chairs is the sweetest ever! The bird light fixture in the bar area is gorgeous! This entire house is so well thought out , and her style is so personal to her family. Truly a home. Please follow up with a tour of the bedrooms, or Christmas tour!!!
OMG - I thought I was the only person who looked at properties & immediately try to imagine how the holidays will work & where the Christmas tree will go!!!! I'm in good company😄
I now live in Charlotte NC but was raised and lived in Atlanta half my life. There are some southern accents that are that way. I know a few people. I like all the different accents around the country. Actually a lot of my family were born and still live in Savannah. A lot of ladies there have that accent but even more of a drawl. I just love it all.
Disfrute este recorrido, una casa muy calida actual a la vez. Los espacios exteriores y semi cubiertos es lo que más me gustó. Que pena no mostrar los dormitorios deben ser magnificos. ❤
Love the colors you used through out the house , It flows beautiful from room to room and the outdoors. Love It, very inspirational !!Thank you for sharing.😊
I love that we are seeing the most important parts of her home. Entryway, Formals, and Kitchen, I feel it's not a home tour if you don't see at least the main entertaining spaces.
I love her home, but these young ladies whose voice goes up at the end of every sentence makes it difficult for me to listen. Just saw in other comments that it is called "upspeak". I guess I wasn't the only one who had trouble listening to it. Her's is particularly exaggerated. Also, the "view Products" feature was not working on this video (at least for me). I would have like to see some of the products since I did love the home..
@@missstephaniethemusicteacher 🤣I guess I didn't realize how bad it was going to be. Even for me, it was difficult. Since I live in SC, I wanted to hear perhaps where she purchased some of her decor. I'll have to go back and see if the "view products" feature is now working.
I ACTUALLY listen at half-speed and ACTUALLY could not ACTUALLY get into this one due to squeaky upspeak. Oh dear. I'm passing on this. I believe this is a bad habit, not an accent.
i believe you are right. This is a habit that I hear on quite a few videos - some worse than others. This one was particularly bad and it's a shame because it is a beautiful home in my opinion and people miss out because it's almost impossible to listen to.
@@SherryKendrick-p1qNo it’s not. It’s not charming. It’s called uptalk. Some psychologists will tell you when someone ends their sentence like it’s a question it’s because of insecurities. They lack self confidence which is completely normal but some show it by up talking.
@@SherryKendrick-p1q I'm from Charleston - as Southern as you can get. I know no one who talks like this. Bless her heart, she's lovely, but I had to mute her.
I only made it through the first 4 minutes. Her upspeak is too much. Very sweet lady, beautiful home. Up-speaking is a bad habit by some. There seem to be several homeowners on Home Worthy who talk like this.
Lovely home, sweet lady. But I struggled to get through the whole episode because she said "actually" so often it was distracting. If Monica reads this, I hope you take this criticism in the right way so that your future interviews will be much better. In my last book I was using the word "actually" way too much and my editor pointed it out and removed all of them from the manuscript. I was so unaware. It cured me.

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us. What a stunning collection of art. The porches really invite you to want to see the inside.
One of my favorite homes....lovely soft hues . Dreamy.

Your home is beautiful! I love all the florals you’ve used. It’s feminine to a degree, but not overdone. Thank you for sharing.

Beautiful home, and she seems like a joyful, lovely person.
Love Charleston. Savannah’s lovely too. Love the porch and the home is very comfortable. Not pretentious, but appropriate for the home and region.
Your home is perfection! It is so welcoming and serene. Great job creating such a beautiful home.
Love the dog!!!!!!!
Lovely home! I enjoyed her art work, as well as the furniture choices.
Charming hostess, lovely home.
I really love your home. It is my style in many different areas.

Beautiful! Love her home especially her Savannah home!
Lovely home and gracious homeowner
Everything was SO sweet!
Lovely, wish we saw bedrooms.
Lovely home and host.
Charming place----good job with the elegant side of things

OMG. I thought I was the only one that envisions my Christmas tree in the house first. 😂😂😂😂😂
Beautiful!
I am repainting the porch ceiling next week, did you actually use Haint Blue from Sherwin Williams? I'm, looking for a soft blue green. Love the tour!
This is the first time I’ve seen a homeworthy tour and someone started the tour on the front porch 😄🩵😄
Love the house and Yes! Mah Jong!!

I turned the volume off . As a voice teacher it’s like nails on a chalkboard. Every sentence is a question

Color of the wicker porch furniture
I love that is oriented almost like a Charleston single 🩵🤍
Beautiful home.
The “husband doesn’t allow her to bring pink in some rooms”!😂
Fair enough
I love your house!
Why do all of her sentences sound like a question?
She is southern. That is the way it is - charming.

Upspeak drives me crazy. This poor lady needs speech therapy. Seriously…I am not trying to be hateful. Sadly, I had to quit after five minutes.

Her voice is absolutely so unbelievably horrible. I just can't continue to visit this tour. OMG 😱

Oh my goodness Ladybug - it’s fine, really, you know?😁
The vocal fry in her voice is too much, I can't get through the video
It's nice but incredibly boring looking to me. The color palette is so flat.
Does your throat hurt with all that squeaking?
