      Also, they're a product of scaremongering. What I mean by that is, you know how in the early 00's there was advertisement about vehicle safety, Top Gear UK even did a feature on it about the safety rating in a crash. However, it's sort of like the gun problem in America, where as one person has one, so they all have to have one to feel safe. A well built car hitting another well built car is just the same in a crash as an SUV hitting another SUV. The media's bull shit as usual 🙄

      Nikola Jelovac
      Mine had 53? Or 55000 ish miles when I part exchanged but it was a 2004 model still had the 6 speed gearbox and the fresher looking Interior, the Only visible differences I noticed were chrome door handles and chrome surround grill which I never liked anyway. However watch out , in the uk due to greedy gov tax, 2006+ model went into £500 year vehicle excise duty . But the Engines are Strong, my new ST can spurt out Numbers on a Piece of paper to suggest its fast, but on the road that 3litre pulled like a freight train. .......
      Enough talk now I feel like crying,
      i sold the only car I ever loved 😢😪
      For a biggish car on premium tyres it bloody held the road too. There was a reason Police used them in Uk.👍
      A motorbike cop once said to me it’s in nice condition, which led him to say it was of the police favourite cars

    My grandfather had every generation of Cortina as a company car, possibly the first few Sierras, too
    Cut to the 90s when I was rooting for team Valvoline and later RapidFit in the Supertouring era BTCC
    The Cortina and its' resulting lineage were more than just a name.
    They were a trusted family member, a role model, a superhero.

    • @friktionrc
      @friktionrc 4 года назад

      I had a similar experience. My father owned x2 Ford Sierras (both mk1 hatchbacks, one was 4x4 cossie which I learned to drive in lol) then Sierra Saphier saloon, and then mk 1 and mk2 Mondeos. This was alongside Fiat 131/Rover SD1...and Vauxhall Cavallier 🤮🤮🤮 we never owned or drove a Vauxhall ever again lol.....my first car was a mk1 Fiesta...then Mk2 Golf, the last of the Ford Escort (which was kak...too heavy and slow - compared to older versions ) then I got the hand me downs...I got the Mk1 Mondeo and then Mk2 Mondeo....both were absolutely peach to drive....loads of space, never had any issues etc...brilliant in town as well as on the motorway. The newer Mondeos looks like a totally different car compared to those that came before...so freaking huge...and good looking too.
