In France, we have now a generation of young actresses who are clever, involved in the issues of our time. It's so comforting for an old man to see this happen.
13 years obsessed with her performance skills. I remember when I was 19 and saw Naissance des pieuvres. I also then, fell in love with Céline, her understanding of the complexity of teenage female sexuality, was everything to me. Adèle is so committed to the feminist movement and the real concept of sisterhood. She's amazing and this live reading is absolutely priceless. PS: the vid has Eng subs just activate them.
21:02 So in love with Adele's brain and mind. Her quick responses are impressive and her reading of the tragic events happening in Turkish does make me inspired and want to learn more of today's Turkey.
@@greatestever7170 Thanks a lot indeed. One remark: Mostly when talking about Asli and her work, you/the translator uses "his" while she is female right? So maybe change all the "his" into "her" and then it's perfect :)
This is amazing. Wish I could thank her personally. Also wish I could chat with her about Sophie's character in Portrait, some things no one seems to be addressing.
They should have served Adele with a glass of water for reading. This's a serious read and I didn't see Adele smile. I am contented after listening to her voice without knowing a word..
I... i understand... Its a good story so impressed Especially , when girl choose die for her love,, my tears were boom.. Thank you thank you i love adele
Same here. She mentioned reading King Kong Theory by Virginie Despentes in another interview. I wasn't expecting a feminist book due to not knowing anything about the author, but it soon really made sense to me why she chooses to read about these heavy topics. Also I appreciate the new insight it gave me towards the books she reads, her unapologetic feminism & overall intellect. Wonderful actor & human being.
So I wasn't the only to click on this because of Orpheus reading on Portrait? whaaat? Can Adele come read my Med School material so I can actually pay attention to classes??
Hello there, i made documentary about writer Asli Erdogan since 2017, almost will be finished. I would like to use this video in the documentary. Should i contact with whom? Could anyone help me please?
didn't you hear the first part? Aslı Erdoğan and many other journalists are in prison for no reason, except they are not siding with the government... that's why she is reading it... the world is not just the city or country you live in... it is not just feminism, it is injustice... standing up against this system of suppressing.
Aslı Erdoğan n'est pas "l'un des plus grands écrivains de la Turquie." Il y a beaucoup d'autres romanciers qui méritent la reconnaissance accordée à Aslı Erdoğan pour la seule raison de son incarceration injuste et absurde.
My life in 5 steps

5. Died

Aslı Erdoğan in mektuplarını Türkiye'de tvlerde de okuyabilselerdi keşke insanlar. Fransız birinden dinlemem beni üzdü.
Just yesterday I was looking up readings by Adele, and now today this appears! Kind of on the heavy side...but i'll take it.
