Personally, it's oddness, how different it is from other albums makes it so so so beautiful, how it's filled with rather happier songs (even if it's the propaganda of dema) makes it just odd.. but beautiful.. a different genre, which still sounds so tøp.. this is what makes it awesome

My little girl got me into TOP a few years ago with the Trench album. She's 14. I'm 38. We can both vibe to these guys. Says a lot about the band and they're sound.

It's obviously intentional for the lyrics to be transparent and kind of flexible. Certain lines can be interpreted in multiple ways. For a child, for a best friend, for a wife. But also, mostly to his relationship with creativity and process of creation through music, which he had known for 13 years, since he started to create music on a serious level in 2007-08. And the music/able to create is so formidable to him because when he was feeling lost he could always turn to it because it knew where to go, because ideas breed purpose. He is now even more afraid than at first time when he started to create because of how it is a big part of his life. He says 13 years ago he didn't know what I was but he played it, and now it has grown on him.

Obviamente no estoy llorando de emoción...por supuesto que no...esta canción tiene un sonido que me transmite calidez y tranquilidad, como un "Todo está bien, aquí estamos" de tu persona favorita, un padre, una madre, un hermano, amigo o pareja, a quien le confías tu vida y por quien no quieres llegar a viejo.

This song will forever be linked to my cat Egon. He was about to be one year old but he passed a few days before his birthday. I don't know how exactly, but I was driving alone that day and this song just came on spotify all of a sudden and I swear I tensed up so bad. I cannot explain it but I felt like this song is something that he must have felt back when he was still alongside me. He was the smartest, most loyal, and affectionate cat I had and I'm pretty sure there will be no other like him. I am convinced that this song will not exist without his thought appearing in my head anymore, and I am glad that he was a true wingman through the hard times I've had in the past year or so. He was a true blessing, and no matter how much I wish he was still here, I will forever remember him until the day I leave this earth as well. Until then I know you are up there, waiting for me on the rainbow bridge, see you there small friend. I will forever be grateful for you.
within the last several weeks, my two best friends seem to have decided that i'm no longer worth the effort my anxiety and fear bring, and i'm absolutely heartbroken, though i really can't fault them for it. i wish i could have shown them this song and used it to explain myself to them. so many of the lyrics express what i feel for them so well. just even the title, "formidable." i held so much love for them but also so much fear. being more afraid of someone the closer you get to them, wanting to go everywhere with them but warning them you might by cynical and clinical to them because of your own self doubts... i feel like this isn't a song you're supposed to break down crying to, and yet here i am.
i'm grateful for twenty one pilots and how they are able to put into song the things i feel so much. they've done it with many songs, but the fact that this one just came out while i'm going through this... it makes me feel some type of way. thank you for the cathartic cry. thank you for making me feel less alone. and thank you for the hours of music i'm going to listen to on repeat as i try and figure out what to do with my life now.
Obviously I'm not crying with emotion ... of course not ... this song has a sound that gives me warmth and tranquility, like "Everything is fine, here we are" from your favorite person, a father, a mother, a brother, friend or partner, to whom you entrust your life and for whom you do not want to grow old.

I've been there before, and the honest answer to this question is that love will set you free if you just let it grow again. Quite hard to do it as it seems easier to say, but that's how love works, you just gotta believe it as cliche it may sound.
