Thank you and the crab gods for choosing the pom pom crab monk. Regarding the horseshoe crabs (which are chelicerates): The blood/hemolymph draining does harm them. I think around 30 % die soon after that and there are probably more that die later on. Adult coconut crabs would drown, but they still have aquatic larval stages.
