i know shef as a friend he setup my bow becouse he worked at the archeryshop that i went to to get my new arrows and i shot with him and to see that he shot strait tens at 18 meters is just insane to think about as i shot like 258 and he shot 290 out of 300 with 30 arrows and the calm state that he was in it looked as if he turned into a different person
Just in case of equipment failure. Its easier to pick up an identical bow than to try to mend the one that's faulty. It can happen - arrow rests can drop off, limbs can delaminate, its unlikely, but he might drop it and knock the limbs out of alignment. That sort of thing.
Ive seen it happen that a limb broke. Can cost you a medal. Sjef uses a 46 pound limbs (its limited to 46 pounds by rules), poundage on his fingers is 53 pounds so yea pulling to a max for sure can break something.

I like Zach Garett’s glare after he releases the arrow
There is an analogy here about opening and closing a door.
Why does Van Den Berg carry two bows?
