2:47 Foreign blood, as in their hair color is blond. Pure blooded Japanese don't have blond hair and the anime takes place in Japan. Dr. Stone is grounded in reality (for the most part) with liberties taken with characters like Tsukasa having inhuman (Ascended) strength and agility and even intelligence. However, as science progresses, the time was 2037 or so in the anime when the petrification occurred so it's entirely possible that science in the real world could start giving strength buffs to newer generations using science. It might also be a possibility with inbred family genes only choosing the strongest genes from each person generation to generation. The science is practical, magic wizard spells don't exist as it is set in the real world.
While it might be exaggerated at times, it's implied that Tsukasa was a prodigy champion in fighting sports, which is very possible at age 18 as that's around the peak physical age for male fighters. In the Gen flashback he had boxing gear, and if you consider that while looking at his exploits then it makes sense. A normal trained boxer could easily outrun wild boars for example, and it's certainly possible for an exceptional one to kill an animal like a lion with a correctly placed punch. Top boxers can deliver over 1,000 lbs of force in a blow, which is a lot of force, lol. Catching the bird out of the sky was a little crazy though some animals actually do this, but other than that I don't think he's actually done anything superhuman.
@@MetalRaimon I'm pretty sure he just noticed that there was a person-shaped rock behind/under the other rock like with the foot sticking out or something, I mean he was right next to it while the others were in the distance and not looking at it. I feel like noticing that is one of the least superhuman things he's done, lol. Breaking the rock without preparation is impressive, but trained martial artists have been doing things like this for as long as the arts have been around to show off ability.
@@F1reBeat I went back to double check, and though they said in both the anime and manga that "3700 years" have passed, the year was 5738 when senku woke up. so I did the math and determined that it must've been 2037 or 2038 when the petrification happened. It would have been nice having a future "far-off" year for the present in the anime but apparently and at least according to a wiki I just looked up, Senku was born in 2004, and the petrification occurred in 2019 which would make Senku 15.5 years old. After awakening, he waited for Taiju to wake up for 6 months making Senku 16. Another 6 months pass and the discovery of the cure for petrification is discovered. Events occur to bring Senku to the village and another 6 months pass by making Senku 17 years old basically around the same time the village games begin. Without bothering with anymore details: "Senku breaks from his rock prison April 1st after being petrified for 3715 years and 241 days. He gets to cultivating his own tools and developing a way to heal petrification." Calculating the seconds to years with a calculator was also a good idea since Senku strait up says the number of seconds in a couple early episodes, namely episode 5. Technically, the year was 2019 when things went down, but the anime and manga stating that only "3700" years passed, and having the current year of 5738 being carved into the treetrunk was what originally lead me to believe Senku time was 2038... I wish it was that year in the manga / anime before petrification.
You definitely see some resemblances of the villagers to all the astronauts. I had wondered why there were so few villagers after three thousand plus years but someone pointed out to me I wasn't thinking about famine and disease. The last thing that I want to find out who the villagers who got banished is who got mentioned earlier in the season and why he got banished. I'm kind of mad because they made me really like Byakuya just for him to not be around. The ending song makes ten billion percent much more sense after this episode. I am really excited for the next episode. Great reaction my guy
I think they will never explain banishing thing because in this world being alone is pretty much death sentence because they could eat something they shouldn't and die, get attacked by animals or just die because of cold.
@@MegiMoon I was about to say that Senku survived by himself but he's Senku so that doesn't count lol. I just thought maybe they'll address it some point because it would make a great plot point and would otherwise be a throwaway line
@@timothyswindell4833 I just imagine if someone was criminal then they probably done things easy route, make use of others, manipulate them, selfish people doing nothing and people like that are even more unable to survive. Village probably just doesn't want to kill people so they give chance by banishing but there is just too high chance they will die and even if they would survive summer, fall then winter is dead end for banished people. Also it's probably hard to even get banished. Let's see how Magma is horrible and he is still in village. We don't know how far person should get to get banished.
It's a slight spoiler, but not a big one and clearly neither Senku to Byakuya cared. So Senku was the son of Byakuya's best friend. We never get any more than that, because Senku didn't care. As far as he was concerned, Byakuya was the only parent he ever needed. Sad that he'll never get to meet his stepmother though.
I'm so freakin' excited to see more of this flashback story i love Senku's dad so much!! Gosh what must Senku have thought when he woke up since he knew where his dad was...he'll never get to see him again...he's lived and died..i wonder if his dad will find him when they get back...damn i got emotional when they hacked the cameras....he's always thinking about Senku I CAN'T DEAL WITH THIS 😭😂 I'm an only child with a single dad so i'm like bawling at their relationship 😂 when he was all "we're saving all of them" i was like JUST LIKE SENKU! It would be cool if someone like Chrome was distantly related to Senku hahah science bois. Interested to see if we find out where they lost science over time since Kohaku and that didn't know of it. Maybe just lack of man-power made things difficult...anyway ahhh so excited. Great vid! xx
Late comment but i read that 'i wonder if his dad will find him when they get back', actually it never happened, eventhough at first they planned to get to senku. It have been explained in Dr stone:Byakuya manga, you can find online. They planned to land near where they can get to senku but failed at first try. The first landing was far from where senku at and it risk their friends' life. Thats why Byakuya need to choose between his friends or his son. At the end, Byakuya choose to save his friend than to meet senku bc he knew senku will choose the same too in that kind of situation. But the most saddest thing in that manga is when Byakuya said that he miss his son so much that he want to meet him( knowing it would never happen😭)
@@manyomayo2 weirdly enough i just bought the Byakuya spin off side story thing a couple of weeks ago! Indeed i assumed they didn't find him or they'd probably have moved him somewhere safe and he wouldn't have been in the middle of nowhere but very sad to think of it.

Pretty sure Lilian just grew up in a poor home. Her father seems to be an alcoholic, as evidenced by the sheer amount of bottles on the table next to him in the flashbacks. Though from how Lillian acts, and the fact that she sings openly, I don't think her father was abusive. (Not everyone gets violent when drunk, after all.)
They are distant but like reaaaaaaally distant relatives to the point they might as well don't have any blood relationship, I mean it's been 3000 years and I this Days 100 usually 2 to 3 generations or even 4 pass in every family. Damn now that I think about it that's a lot of humans. But It's weird, there should be a lot more. Maybe, since there's no modern medicine, a lot die and that could explain how after a whole 3000 years there's only 40 humans alive.

for real, Senku's dad is best dad.
He and Yukihira Joichiro (Saiba) from FOOD WARS are my favorite Dads in anime.
Dad of the millenia
