It’s interesting that you say “level up”...my first thought was you meant almost like a video game, moving up to the next level. I’ve come to understand chakras more as requiring balance, with them being either excessive or depleted or just out of sync with the other centres. Without balance, running more energy through them will only create more problems. But level can also mean balance, as in to find its level or level out. I like this, so thanks for your question.
In regards to repetitions, there are many protocols. 108 is popular. 9. 12, 21, 36... another technique is say the mantra aloud for x number, then whispered for the same number, then silently, then allowing it to come from the subconscious.
