Looks like I finally made a good decision when I recently purchased a Ink Products CISS for my Pro-100 after watching your review of it awhile back. The results I have gotten seem fine to me. Thanks for sharing your knowledge, Jose. It is appreciated.
Hi Jose. Just picked up a used Canon PIXMA Pro 100 used for very little $$. I researched printers and wanted one to print greeting card. It's already set up and ready to print, but unfortunately, after watching a bunch of your videos I'm still clueless as to how to use it. Imagine my surprise when I brought it home and plugged it in and realized it doesn't have a screen to place my art on to copy it. At this point I'm totally lost. I tried to print one of my pieces from Photoshop but nothing happened. I am in desperate need of easy step by step instructions on how to use this printer. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Hi Jose .. love all the great info you put out I've learned a lot from you thanks ..now the question I have has nothing to do with this video.is there a video out there on how to put a large margin on my photo on my canon ip 8720 thanks for your time to read this ... enjoy the day ...gary
What is the link to the ink system you’re talking about? Do you have a link? I’ve always loved my PRO-100, even with the newer “value” carts now available for it.
Thank you very much for this. I want to start printing at home and cannot really afford more expensive printers, so this video has come very handy for me :)
That image of the old man is amazing. Is this possible with thicker stock matte paper on Pro 100 with OEM inks? How do I obtain this custom ICC profile? or is that something you made only for yourself? Thank you.
When I try to duplicate the results I get a green color cast. I was using Canon Photo Pro Matte. and followed your approach. Oh well. I should be getting a Colormunki .which should lead me to better results.
I installed my INK PRODUCTS CIS today ... Will make custom profiles this weekend. But I am using the COC Chips that it came with, rather than swapping them out with OEM chips. So far, so good. I printed the "Standard Image" and found the result to be a bit warm, but confident that a custom profile will make it great. Shipping to Canada took a while, but everything was nicely packed. Jose, why did you choose to swap in OEM chips ?
@@cheo1949 one more question dear Jose. I have PIXMA pro10s. There is paper who have ICC for PIXMA pro 1 and 100.are they same ICC profiles as for 10s,or can I use ICC for pro 100 on 10s. Ty
there are maybe 4 or 5 Pro 100's for sale used around my area. One is half the price of the others. Is there anything i can look for when buying used? very grateful, getting too anxious.
Great video! I have followed you for some time. I have a question: I have a Pixma Pro-10 that has been a workhorse for many years. When I print on fine-art Matt papers, it refuses to let me print borderless or with normal margins. It makes me use a margin that is about 1.5 in even if printing on letter size paper.
What do you need to know? I've covered practically everything you need to know on my videos. Check the PRO-1000 PLAYLIST. If you still need specific help we can arrange a private chat. $45 per hour.

Hi José, you are mentioning Ink Products. Have you changed ink provider? I always heard you talking about Precision Inks in the past.

You can not print borderless when you choose FINE Art media. Because you have to load from the manual feeder. Borderless is not allowed.
What software do you use to convert your image into a painting?
Corel paint.
What do you mean when you say you scanned it?
Scanned each color patch with a Spectrophotometer to produce the custom profile.
Thanks for all the videos. This one says it is 1080p but looks like an old 90's web cam. What gives?
Jose, can you please give me classes on the pro1000? Video call, how much will you charge me ? Please
