  • If Corner Pinning isn't working, and 3D Camera tracks are failing, maybe you should try Planar Tracking with Mocha AE.

    Thank you for the tutorial! Very helpful. Have you tried to track something where you needed multiple layers above the surface you wanted? So in your example, maybe you had your hand and then maybe someone threw a pen in front of the phone... Would you use multiple layers and if so, would you group them, because I saw that was an option? Thanks in advance.

    Kind of confused why you first do the wrong thing and then say "Im not going to waste my time with this because it wont work" Why do it that way in the first place. Confusing my dude

      Because A LOT of people get it wrong, because they are doing it the first way. Here I'm showing why this happens, and why you should do the second (correct way). Cheers!

    Nice tutorial. I am by no means an expert in AE or Mocha as I am a beginner but I have a quick question. I have a TV screen (with a green screen) in my background but want it to play another video within it. The problem I have is one corner of the screen comes off screen for about 5 seconds while pulling in then all 4 corners come back into screen. Will your tutorial work or do I need to do something else? Also, the shot is 45 seconds long. Is it too long of a shot?

    • @schleicher12000
      @schleicher12000  2 года назад +1

      I would think you can track this with the multipoint tracking in AE without using mocha, but since you do have a "free" planar tracker with Mocha AE, go for it. Then just key out your screen. In terms of the length of the shot, that is something on you can decide, but to me it sound excessive.

      @@schleicher12000 Thanks. I tried that but once the top right corner comes off screen the tracking goes wonky and I can't seem to drag the point off screen to imitate where the point would go. Is there something I need to do to accomplish that? That's why I thought I had to you the planar tracker but would prefer not to use it if I don't have to as I am having trouble figuring out that process as well.

    Great tutorial but I still got stuck on your first attempt back to AE... I do everything you do but nope... My 'fake' screen is still out of the image even if it moves perfectly... If you can help in any way.... :)

    Thank you for this great tutorial! Do you know why my tracking shapes would slide off screen when the object I am tracking does not move?

    • @chrisculpepper9585
      @chrisculpepper9585 3 года назад +1

      Just found the answer! Had to switch to "Classic" view, then check "Small Motion" instead of Large Motion in the layer properties
