I am envious, Robyn. To see such talented stars 'live' on the theatre stage must have been, as you say, amazing. I have been a fan of tap dancing for many years and have followed the careers of many of the best exponents of the art. Tommy is there with the top ones! Thanks for sharing your memory.
What takes his tapping over the top is his physique. Every action is punctuated by his long limbs, cleverly silhouetted here against a dark background. Others may match or even exceed him in tap steps. but unless they have similarly long limbs, the impression will not be as great.
I hope he tours again. His biggest fan is in Murderville!
‘You do more bowing than a GD Tommy Tune’......Terry Seattle.....

Exactly why I came to this lol
Something about watching tap dance forces the viewer to smile.
One of the best versions of Putting on the Ritz! What a talent--him and the backup dancers. ❤
This is a great arrangement, Tommy Tune's voice suits it perfectly and his dancing is outstanding!
What a cool guy! 😆Talk about charisma......!
What talent, priceless icon!
❤Amazing 😊
I seen Tommy Tune and Twiggy on Broadway years ago in My One and Only. They were amazing!!

Who’s here from the sopranos?
Tap dancing great but song not p.c. Maybe just dance to the excellent music and leave out the words.
I'm actually here from the murderville deleted scene. So I'm better than y'all.
Big deal. Nothing special. Give me Astaire and Gene Kelly.
