Red Blue’s story is such a refreshing take on sports shounen because all of the main characters we spend time with would be “heels” or antagonists if this were another another manga, and it really shows with the protagonist, Aoba. Aoba really is like an evil Deku from MHA. He’s nice, a bit awkward, and at times naïve, but he’s also vengeful, vindictive, and usually has some ruthlessly sardonic reply to all of his opponent’s life philosophies. In other words, the perfect heel. But there’s been foreshadowing that even the “shounen protagonist” characters have some sort of darkness within them as well, which really sells one of the ideas in the story that if someone wants to be good at MMA, there has to be something wrong about them. God I love this series and I wish the TL’s caught up with it sooner 😭
I don't think that it's something "wrong" per se, but most folks like us are either angry with some part of our life, or we get a real joy getting physical and testing ourselves. I mean, come on, it was mid to late 1800's when we stopped using swords. Combat that wasn't specialized in ranged weaponry only was very common. A little over 100 years is nowhere near enough time for a species that was just like any other animal that fought tooth and nail to live to get out of it. Hell, the people who have some sort of enjoyment of it think about it more often. How often do you think about your favorite game that you played just yesterday versus the ones you haven't played in years? Same concept, different topic.
Me too. Ever since I found Killing Morph and Fight Club 3 (Korean), I've been *passionate* about learning languages. I did old school style, write down the characters over and over again. Then look up common phrases. Talk, alone even. That was how I learned _English._
@@charles_teak dude your English is flawless, I just assumed u were a native speaker. So many people who have formal education in English still make mistakes.
Just found the Channel man and it's really nice to see someone cover some more niche manga. I'd recommend you to read some classic delinquent Manga like Crows and the sequel Worst if you haven't read them yet. They're some of the best hand to hand streetfighting manga imo would love to see your thoughts on them

Damn bro. And here I thought I came up with an original idea. For a while now i had this exact idea for a story about a background character becoming an mma fighter, and now this video pops up in my feed. I'm so bummed 😓
Happens all the time to me mate. Im sure if you add your own spin on it, it will be original enough. Everything has been done to an extent, even this manga gets compared to Teppu 😂

Been a red blue fan for a long time now, please help it get the recognition it needs.
MC being a grappler instead of a striker is a big switchup that made me so hype
It really does seem like a more generic, less subversive, watered-down and stretched-out version of "Teppu."
keep up the good work the vids are fire
Plz make more content I love your videos
I'll be right back to finish this video. Thank you youtube recommendations
I love your grind man

He doesn't realize he's making enemies on his pursuit to his enemy.. never ending fight
As a taekwondo martial artist I just want to say why are there no kicks 😢
Taekwondo is plagiarism of karate
Taekwondo without cool kick feels wrong l

Tbf it shows Thai-style roundhouses from Sannosuke, and Aoba's a grappler so he's gonna go for boxing + wrestling
Goated manga
