As a Muslim I completely agree and found this to be a very logical discussion. But just to clarify to some of those who may have listened to this, Islam is absolutely clear on the single nature of the creator and goes to great extents in the Quran to argue against this trinitarian logic. However you often find Christians trying to find parallels to the doctrine of the trinity in other religions including Islam (possibly to make it more acceptable logically). The attributes of God that the caller referred to are the names of God that are mentioned in the Quran and describe God’s nature (eg. The most merciful, the most Compassionate etc..) and in no way describes different personas.

I have always trusted and believed the Muslims and the jews worship the same God! I had believed like brother argue or fight, that's how Muslims and judiasm has been, while God spoke of esau and Jacob, I believed 🇮🇱 Israel is like Jacob and Islam like esua, ...Muslims submit to only God, they worship with such loyalty and devotions, their women cover themselves! And when their tongue flows when the mention a name of a holy prophet or holy king they say "peace be upon them!" My heart feels what their tongue saids! When they mention God and words "the merciful and compassionate!" My heart fills with joy! And I know 100% they love The one true God! ..while ✡️ Jewish nation reason, and they have knowledge and truth, they have celebrated the holy sabbath, and kept the laws of G-D through the holy prophets and rabbi's! ...when they say "Hashem" wow they speak of whom they know! And more importantly whom they know ,knows them ! ...when I speak to Christians? They seem very active , they don't know who they worship, I get confused and have doubt and sorrow and grief! I don't feel the power and authority of the true God! I fear God more for spending time with them! I feel lost forever worthless and.useless! I try to have faith! But I feel fake seeking God in ways Christians think ? I have to say they seem to be hypocrites! I used to think I have to humble myself like Jesus did when he went to get baptized, but when does it end? They all claim they will be raptured? How can they be raptured ? Only two were raptured Enoch and Elijah two holy prophets! Loved by God! None can compare to those whom G-D has declares his love for! They are jn the holy bible, and.more importantly they are in the heart of G-D! I hear testimonials of Christians like G-D helped me find my keys, or G-D gave me a job and gave me money? They ask me what do I want? I want to worship and praise God and pray effectively! They say that doesn't matter! ...its confusingly Christian churches!

Question about Islam: Why does Islam claim Mohammad is a Prophet when he never made a prophesy that matches the Torah's Prophets, which is how you can single out false prophets? Also why do so many Muslims despise the Jews that live in Israel today? God promised that land to live in.

@@eduardo_fbarbosa Yes but that breaks the trinitarian clause of co-equality. All three are co-equal in omni-presence, omni-potence, and omni-science. Not knowing the day and the hour by definition makes a being not omniscient, because omniscient is by definition the knowledge of all things. The trinitarian formula has a distinction of person but an equality of nature. Omniscience is part of the nature of God, to believe that some of the person's are relegated to having lesser knowledge or power due to the roles they fulfill is unacceptable according to Trinitarian clauses, that belief is modalist, which is heretical to all Trinitarian churches.
Also, you say all these things about the trinity, but who came up with this? Did a prophet say this? Did Jesus himself explicitly explain the trinitarian formula and its clauses? What gives a human, much less ones similar to the early church fathers (some were murderers and most had characters below that of most modern saints) the right to determine, without scriptural backing, the nature of God?

Clearly, you never read the Torah once in your life, and take everything the church tells you by hearsay... The Torah Commands to be fruitful and multiply - The church values celibacy (apparently preferring child molestastion as an alternative). The Torah Command 4 times (Book of Exodus & Deuteronomy) that you shall "Bind my sign on your arm and on your head" referring to Tefillin which ALL observant Jews still wear. The Torah Commands that one "Shall NOT make any image of a creature on land, in the sea, or in the sky", yet the church places their disgusting idols of jesus and his comrades in all the churches. The Torah ALSO commands in the book of Deuteronomy to KILL any false prophet who tries to convince the Jewish people to NOT observe the commandments, even if he comes in the "name of God"... The Prophet Malachi (the last prophet) told the Jewish people to "Remember the Torah of Moshe" and to observe it. The church has only promulgated the opposite. Get a life, thanks :)

But now they have a greater problem: they're worshipping a cruciform execution stake! (They even have a song devoted to "The Old Rugged Cross") But if you were to tell them what Roman crucifixion was *really* like, they'd stop their ears and shout, "Lalalalala we're not LISTENING!" Why? Because they would know it was an abomination, which they should but don't!

@@dlight1999 the father is in all of us. So? That quote doesn’t mean anything and is always used to justify the trinity and that Yeshua was “God”
There are over 90 verses of Yeshua saying he is NOT God.
“Why do you call me good? There is only one good and that is the father in Heaven.”
“I can do nothing apart from the Father.”
      “The father is greater.”
How can he be greater if they are the same..?
Why did Hashem say “well done my good and faithful servant with whom I am well pleased when Yeshua was baptized?” Why didn’t he say good job to me if he was God?
Why did Jesus pray to God to save him before he died? “It is your will not mine.”
When Jesus taught people how to pray he didn’t say “pray to me” he said pray like this “OUR FATHER WHO ART IN HEAVEN…”
“ and Jesus fell on his face and prayed” to who?? Himself??
Why didn’t he know when “he’d return”?? Doesn’t God know everything? Right then he wasn’t God.
He hasn’t link back to kings David either because he was of a “virgin” birth like every other pagan God that was before him. His own “birthday”is a pagan day.

Ok, Trichotomy holds that humankind is a composite of 3 distinct components:
      Body, spirit, and soul.
      Do you have a body?
      Do you have a spirit?
      Do you have a soul?

I studied Christianity for years (I was once a Christian many years ago). Rabbi Singer in his videos has gone into detail of a gradual change in the beliefs of the followers of Jesus starting from Mark & Paul which had a split in beliefs.
    * Jesus in Mark is more like a prophet similar to David. Jesus in Paul is a divine being, but not quite God.
    * There was a hostility between Paul & the followers of Jesus who continued to practice Judaism (See Galatians & Acts).
    - Paul’s Gentile church would dominate the Jesus movement especially after the defeat of Israel by the Romans. This Gentile dominance in
Christianity led to the books attributed to John where the line between Jesus & God was further blurred.
    * But even after that, the majority of Christian leaders in the first 3 centuries believed that Jesus, while divine, was not = to God. This was labeled Arianism. The Arians had the majority in some church councils after Nicene. But they eventually lost & were declared to be heretics.
    * Knowing this history is one of the many reasons why I am not longer a Christian & eventually came to a faith which is consistent w/ the Noahide laws.

To the Christian caller, when responding to "Only the father knows the hour", you said the hypostatic union that Jesus was in limited his mind, in a sense, saying his true divine form would know the hour. To that I would ask, what about the holy spirit? Why does the holy spirit not know? Isn't the holy spirit co-equal with the father and co-omniscient? Last I checked the holy spirit was not limited by a human form.

Can I see, a gospel before 150 ad in its original language please?
Ofc all 4 gospels would match and will have some differences, not many people could write then.. those who wrote were considered to have the "holy spirit"
Now, we have to stop with this "nice man" propaganda.. Obviously, jewish man, arameic speaking, but not a single gospel in his language, not a single word spoken in first person and from Jesus himself but spoken in 3rd person, who saw who and who said what..
To me 4 gospels PROVE that Jesus existed, but the logic that contradict itself, is thanks to polytheist greeks.. constantine would not have a monotheist religion dictate the rules and overshadow theirs.
So I believe in Jesus, I believe that the gospels are guidance to do good and inspire you... But I do not believe they have the complete truth and are reliable. But they are inspired from a jewish nation and in 1 verse Jesus says that he came to fulfil the torah..
Jesus also said I in the father and you in me... This is all figure of speech.

So are you telling me God played a monkey hat trick on us by coming as a man after sending scriptures saying his modus operandi wont be like that? God is not an author of confusion!!
Jacob could have wrestled with an angel, 3 men heading to Sodom could have been angels.. The term God is commonly used in the Jewish bible to describe Judges, God fearing men and even angels!
Even Prophet Jesus told you in the Bible (John 10:30) when he said ''“Is it not written in your Law: ‘I have said you are gods’? If he called them gods to whom the word of God came - and the Scripture cannot be broken
      >>example of 'you are gods' used in scripture....
Psalm 82:6 I said, "You are gods, And all of you are sons of the Most High.

      Exodus ch7 moses called god,
Judges 33:16 jerusalem was called god,
Exodus 21:5 judges were called god
I can disprove your claim from Pauls own book! - *We see Jesus who was made a little lower than angels!!!!!!!* Hebrews 2:9
(I didnt sneak inside your church and write that in the NT bible yesterday night while you were sleeping amigo!)

Adella, I'm so sorry that you are mistaken. You do not know G-d, and you cannot know Him, because to know Him is to know Him who sent Him. Yeshua Hamashiach is the Way, the Truth, and the Life! No man comes to the Father, but by Him! You know it's really tough going back and forth and I say I won't, but geez is it hard! My dear, I did not listen to a sermon or ask a preacher or anyone. I can tell you my testimony but you won't believe. Let's say this. (What I'm going to say didn't happen, but I can tell you similar stories and my own testimony which is different of course) Okay, so You have a vision and you see a path, and suddenly a voice speaks and tell you who He is. Now, knowing what Christians seek, would you really say Satan cleans someone up and make them Christian? For example so a man beats his wife, drinks, does drugs and has a rapid death waiting , until the vision and turns to G-d immediatelythe next day of carrying out these activities. Now, would you say Satan deceived the person to become Christian, when Satan already had his soul leading to death and hell? Now be honest, that would be foolish thinking if you believe, Satan turned a very evil and sinful man into a good person who cherishes, loves and takes care of himself and family, wouldn't you? So, what makes you think being a Christian is not the truth? Unless you Repent, this message will be used to judge you on the day of judgment. Repent, the Kingdom of G-d is at hand!

That may be true, and that is good, but the issue with Islam is the belief in updated revelation. Once revealed, the truth cannot change, morph, or evolve into something else. @@abdullahalrai I respect your religion, but I have to respond in this way. That’s just a different way of saying the same thing: it can’t be the same core belief if each revelation is inherently different. How do we measure “difference?” One good way is to see if the commandments are different. For example, the Torah has 613 commandments, the Christian Scriptures only have a handful, and the Q’uran has about 100, some of which are similar and some of which are not.
In other words, you _believe_ that it’s the same stream of _deen_ from Abraham to Muhammad, but when you analyze the content you’ll see that it’s different. This means that either a) today’s Judaism is not the original truth and Islam corrects it, or b) Judaism _is_ the original truth and _Islam_ is different than Judaism.
The Jews had no motive to change their revelation any more than you have the motive to corrupt yours. The Jews resisted hard against idolatry in every generation, and were killed for it, so it’s hard to believe that they would simply and casually corrupt their own religion for who-knows-what reason. You realize that the entire time this was happening that God didn’t replace them, which indicates that it didn’t happen. It’s more of a belief that you need to justify your faith more than it is something that can be demonstrated. Again, I respect your religion, but the things you believe about Judaism are not true.

Good exchange so far on both sides.
Im going to comment early because I think the Rabbi has done a very good and intellectually honest & fair job of outlining the Christian perspective on the trinity. He actually describes it better than many Christians are able to do..and his sincere work at portraying it clearly is evident and sincerely appreciated.
I think we can all agree that the scope of who and what God is cannot be fathomed. And therefore - Only God knows God!
Its an understatement to say God (Hashem) is complex. How could He NOT be?! And its in that unsearchable complexity for me as a follower of who I think is the Messiah that I must live by faith and accept that Hashem is indeed ONE. Its like He is 1/3 Water..1/3 Blood and 1/3 Oil which when added up equals ONE. Each part is very distinct, serves a specific purpose and yet would be incomplete without each component.
Sh'ma Yisrael Adonai Eloheinu Adonai Eḥad: "Hear, O Israel: the LORD is our God, the LORD is One."
What words do you use to explain the unexplainable.? I've tried very hard as a Christian to grasp the composite unity of Hashem but every time I do it always comes down to the 3 way juxtaposition that I cannot put infinity in a finite jar. If "God" and all that He is could fit in a mans 3 lb. brain He isn't much of a God!
The just shall live by faith. It simply has to be that way. And I'm ok with that.
    ✡ = Promises foretold
    ✝ = Promises fulfilled
    Baruch Hashem Adonai! Amen!
Added later: Those catholic images you put up on the screen during the discussion tell me you don't get it perhaps as much as I thought rabbi.
Those images were not only a complete distortions of biblcal Christianity but were disappointingly unnecessary. Thats not who we are. Catholicism and mormonism drives us as crazy as it does you. Catholicism is an abomination. Mormons think they will be gods..never mind who they think jesus is. Neither of these religions speak for nor represent Yeshua in any way. The "jesus" of catholicism & mormonism is not the Jesus of the bible. The adversary uses these religions to obfuscate and purposely distort the being and work of Messiah.
This discussion took a nose dive at the 9:40 point..which is somewhat predictable but never the less always deflating and really sad.
I am reminded of Hashems words to Moshe - “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.”

In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man,[a] coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. 14 He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.

Even when I was a Christian (Baptist), I could never stomach the trinity doctrine. I knew it was insane, and was quite vocal about it. Possibly it was because I was a Mormon for many years before being a Baptist. It simply made no sense. It wasn't honest. Claiming something nonsensical is true is disingenuous, nothing more. The more I protested, the more I was told to have "faith". Twain put it well when he said "Faith is believing in what you know just ain't so."
Then I read probably the best description of the trinity by Robert Ingersol. Once I stopped laughing, it all made perfect sense. If you keep repeating the same lie over and over, no matter how preposterous, people will believe it. Now, what country was famous for using such tactics.....Just sayin'.

If you truly believe they are all in one. Why not just pray to the source and not make it separate. People can say many things but actions in what they do prove differently.
