grayman15 loves 😂 big tough guy here! I'm so scared bro, come at me, I was airborne infantry for years, you won't know what hit you. You're pretty cool, making threats on youtube through text, what a douche.
The Ford Explorer has 365HP? It actually appears to catch up very well, in the video, considering it's a top heavy SUV & has all the weight of the equipment etc. inside. I was told by a CHP officer they will be using Dodge Chargers soon though.
Well I don't know about that, I'd say about 80% of the time the CHP writes citations after pulling people over. They don't just wait around for minutes or hours waiting to catch a speeder out of the pack, just to pull them over and say hello. However this guy is just getting the first person and anyone he can, where as in most area's of Southern California the CHP will only pull you over for doing 80 or more in a 65mph zone. 80mph is the flow of traffic in SoCal and I see people doing 90-100 all the time, but every area is a little different and every officer has their own limits as well.
Christopher Carter That’s exactly how police should enforce traffic laws. People that actually are a danger. This guy is pulling people for 13 over? What the actual fuck?
@@Chris-nr3yb Def not like that in Nor Cal. They'll pull you over for going 65 in a 55 in a heart beat. 95% of the time they'll issue a ticket. They also will hide around corners, bushes, etc and recklessly jump out at the last minute, sometimes even flipping u turns in the middle of the highway. Whats really crazy is theres many instances of officer misconduct, overtime fraud, sexual harassment, ect and often times the officer receives minimal punishment. If regular citizens committed the same crimes they would be held accountable to the max extent of the law. Double standards for sure, many of these Officers cover for each other and hide their dirty deeds. These are also some of the highest paid officers in the country, many of them make well over $100K a year, way overpaid for how qualified they are and what they actually do.
This is actually my favorite video in the episodes with Officer Jacowitz. I enjoy the freeway footage & catching the speeders. Hopefully some future videos will get back to this.
Disagree. It's a P71, those things are fairly fast for what they are and get up to speed adequately. Would be awesome to see them do an ls1 swap to one of these P71's
I really enjoy these kind of videos. They give a very informative insight on the day to day activities of a CHP Officer. They aren't only fun to watch, but they make people aware that they're are out there enforcing the law.
They pull people and extort them with very expensive and ridiculous citations. The CHP isn't even a real police department, they just sit on the side of the highway and write tickets all day.
"Oh 77 in a 65 is no big deal" That's 12 over the limit, seems reasonable to pull someone over for speeding "Cop overreacted to the taser" Regardless of not being a deadly weapon, a taser is still a weapon, plus the officer at first glance didn't know it was a taser "Why do cops hate being recorded by citizens but not here" This is an educational video which there there's a process to film law enforcement doing their jobs. Now citizens could record cops all they want but if you start harassing them and obstructing their investigation, that is a misdemeanor in the state of California
I also enjoyed this video & would like to see more of them with the CHP. Those CHP Ford Explorers look great! I'm assuming they have the 3.5L turbo Ecoboost? Thank you to Officer Jacowitz for sharing your day with us, sir.
I've seen a few 2016s already. They have different taillights & a different front grill/headlights. I've heard some rumors that the CHP will be adding Dodge Chargers to their fleet, along side the Explorer SUVs.
Yes because if you want to catch up to someone you actually have to be going faster than them. By going 90 mph he was only closing the distance between him and the speeder at 13mph. (90mph - 77mph = 13mph) It's called math #stayinschool
I guess there is just a bunch of you assholes out there on you tube that just want to start shit- on you tube- I deal with numbers every day at my job.... My point was he was doing 77 M.P.H. and the cop was doing 90 M.P.H. to catch him..... So who is unsafe ?????
77 in a 65 REALLY isn't that bad especially during non-congested hours. In most of the state, they don't enforce until it's 15+ over. Two citations for seatbelt? Really? The point of enforcement is correcting behavior. The second seatbelt citation is utterly unnecessary and adds nothing to the goal. When cops throw the whole book at people, that's how they get a bad name. Yes, he had every right to do what he did, but for the greater good of the public, he should be less focused on writing citations and more on what is necessary and what is excessive to achieving the goal of SAFETY. Throughout the nation, police departments are realizing that citations give them a bad name and give the wrong impression that it's for revenue, so if a warning or fewer citations will correct the behavior, then that's what they should do.
+ZenZ What do people do when they are going 77 & see a CHP patrol vehicle? They hit their brakes. Why? Because they know they're speeding & 12MPH is well over the limit. You can be stopped & ticketed if over 5mph over the limit. 15+ is ridiculous. Stay within 5MPH & you'll never have a problem. As far as the seat belts go, only an idiot(s) when drive without them on. 'Click it or ticket'
+PokerRun388 I am not arguing that what the violators did wasn't against the law. I am merely arguing that police officers should exercise their discretion in a manner appropriate to achieving the goal of public safety. Citations are often effective tools to correct behavior; they're also often effective at turning public opinion against police and govt, so they ought to be used appropriately and not excessively.
70-75 is the average flow of traffic around here. You even hear him read out the speed of the other vehicles in the pack of traffic...all in the low to mid 70s. So a person goes 2 over the flow of traffic (2 mph is about the margin of error of any car's speedometer) ...and poof its unsafe. This is exactly what gives cops a bad name. If they really want to catch the dangerous drivers maybe they should wait a few more minutes for the guy going 90 because trust me...hes out there. We all see drivers going WAY too fast on CA highways. How frustrating is it to watch someone going 77 get pulled over and then see someone blow past doing 90. Common man...gotta wait for the big fish if you are really trying to keep us safe. And by the way ...try looking for tailgaters. Tailgating causes so many accidents yet CHP seem to never actively look for them like they do speeders.
+accord137 If motorists would just stay within 5mph of the posted speed limits, they wouldn't have to worry about it......but everyone's in a hurry out here, it's annoying. I think many times the CHP might let 77 go & wait to pull over the guy doing 80+, but 77 is still 12mph over the limit, so if someone is going that fast, then they will have to understand that they will likely get a ticket. As far as tailgaters go, I'm sure the CHP is always looking for them, but we just saw a small video clip, so maybe they can do another video focusing more on tailgaters & reckless drivers, in/out of lanes etc....
Yeah. this was stupid as shit. Get the guys that are actually going recklessly. If people are just going with the flow then who the fuck cares. So much for serving and protecting. More like wasting time and collecting.
+UndeadExplorer The law is the law man. If you don't like it, try to change it. Don't blame the cops, who are doing their JOB, blame the politicians who put these laws in place.
densup in my area people/cops all go 10 over on any road really. cops are cool here, so not an issue for me. just irritated that its different elsewhere lol
Where no general limit is required, the advisory speed limit is 130 km/h (81 mph), referred to in German as the Richtgeschwindigkeit. The advisory speed is not enforceable; however, being involved in an accident driving at higher speeds can lead to the driver being deemed at least partially responsible due to "increased operating danger" (Erhöhte Betriebsgefahr).
THIS IS AWESOME! Much love to the Respectful Cop also! Don't see that too much!! And to those saying he's Harassing them, Well i wish he would have did this to the speeder who killed my Best Friend.... Trust me, he's saving lives because my brother isn't coming back.....
+Gilbert martinez Could you site these "studies" because actual studies have shown that tickets DO decrease accidents. abcnews.go.com/Technology/story?id=97598&page=1 Here's the actual study: papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=1939586 PS: You can stop talking out your ass now.
Funny he cites those kids and goes on about how dangerous not wearing a seatbelt is, yet if you watch both clips of him doing speed enforcement, he is not wearing his seatbelt while going 90-100 mph to catch up to these vehicles on the freeway.
I think I've watched every video with this guy and he is a firm believer in repeated punishment as opposed to behavioral correction. I haven't seen him issue a single warning. People don't learn shit when they're pissed or stressed over a citation... Warnings tend to make me drive more legally... At least... For the next few days...
That is a relatively new protocol for the officer's safety. Many CHP officers have lost their lives due to vehicles colliding while they make a stop on the side of the highway. The new protocol requires they exit the freeway and speak to the driver through the passenger's side window. Personally, I really don't mind at all and I've gotten pulled over myself. I always felt uncomfortable pulling on the side of the freeway even while inside my vehicle. Cars are flying by at 70+.
Might be emergency radio traffic is ongoing, which means no officer is to use the radio unless they are actively involved in whatever emergency is going on. When that happens the radio will make a beep or tone every few seconds to indicate emergency radio traffic. This is to keep the radio clear for the officers that actually need the radio to call for resources and keep other units posted on the situation
During the first traffic stop I was sincerely scared for the officer as I saw him place his foot off the curb. If that driver would have decided to bolt he may have had his foot run over by that rear tire. Situational awareness folks. That said, I am sure there is method behind the madness.
Can you say paranoia? If you consider the total number of a stops made by police in a given amount of time, the number that go ugly can be totalled in extremely short shrift. The dangers of policing are greatly exaggerated. Police doesn't even make the top 10 most dangrous jobs. Statistically, garbagemen and cabdrivers are more likely to die on the job than cops.
@@Ihdc1 That study was flawed. It only takes death into account, not any injury or risk of attack. Surviving does not make it any less dangerous. Cops are attacked 60,000 times per year. Are garbagemen?
Damn.. I’m all for traffic enforcement but 11 over is a bit tight!! I have family who are police officers and their rule is 15 or over. But it is what it is
In New York the LIE is 55mph. Around 7-10pm 77mph is mad slow. People would have much more respect for the police if they actually pulled over dangerous drivers. Passing on the right, tailgating, high-speed passing. From what I’m watching they just look at the readout. Horrible and dishonorable way of enforcing traffic laws.
@@TheZombaslaya all you people that speed and don't care about the other people on the highways. If you get in a accident and kill someone. What now!!!!!
I love these new police SUVs and Cars from ford but the biggest thing I definitely miss is the super loud V8 from the good old P71 that sound was just like the devil on these highways
A family lost their children due to an asshole that was tailgating, zig-zagging and then cutting off a semi that was unable to stop. Believe me, I prefer no-nonsense CHP assholes that take our money over the other kind of assholes that regularly take our lives.
I always wanted to be a CHP, but I don’t want to turn into an asshole like most of them are. A CHP flipped me off the other day. They pull people over doing 77 mph when most of the world drives between 75 and 80. But never stop people doing 80+.
Deviant Endeavors revenue collected by the CHP, does not go to the state. So if the CHP doesn’t make money collecting from tickets, then they are not in it for the revenue.. just an FYI
Just a question for any law enforcement: I have a Taser Pulse, which looks like the kind you carry, like a baby gun. It’s got an emblem on it and it also has yellow but I could understand it being confused as a gun, especially when it’s just in my purse and all you see is the handle. I also have pepper spray that came with the gun. I never considered it as something to warn police about but now I think it’s a good idea. My question is what do you want to know about when it comes to non lethal defense weapons like that? Obviously, would be cooperative, but I honestly don’t think about it and I feel like I would easily forget about it and not say anything. So what do you want to know, if I have anything that would be useful as a weapon, even if it’s not typical, like a stick or bat, or just the kind that are more likely to harm you such as projectiles like pepper spray or whatever. Should I just make a list of everything in my car and print it out and keep it with my insurance? Lol
I like viewing video's like this just to see how law enforcement goes in other countries , especially traffic violations . I'm from the E.U. , Belgium . I just wanted to make an observational comment on the seatbelt violation & following ticket . I'm sure in most countries the seatbelt laws are mostly in effect & the same but the tickets are not . For example , in Belgium the operator of the vehicle is responsible for the passengersand/or cargo , so if a passenger does not wear a seatbelt , it is the drivers fault ! So the ticket will be on the drivers account instead of the passenger ...
Picking off cars with LIDAR for speeding in the middle or back of a pack of cars on a heavily travelled highway is nothing more than a revenue generating activity.
Could you imagine having a career where all you do is pull people over and reach into their pockets with these ridiculous, expensive tickets. CHP pulls people over for things like tinted windows when all of their patrol cars have tinted windows. The chp also loves to get people for using their phones while driving when the CHP uses computers while driving and speeding. Seriously folks, what would our lives be like if the CHP wasn't out writing tickets all day ?
This cop says "we can film you, you're in a public space." I bet the second someone walks up to him with a camera he threatens arrest. But the real difference is, the driver is a captive victim. They can't leave, nor is it reasonable to point the camera in someone's car. The inside of cars have been ruled as non-public spaces. And not once did we see this cop do anything other than steal peoples' money.
Nowadays most departments have their own body cameras along with dash cameras and microphones in their pockets. So the department is trying to police their own as much as they can. 10 years ago filming police might have been an issue, in 2016 99.9% of cops really don't care.
The car is on a public roadway, making them in public and legal to film. If at any point the individual wishes to not be identified on camera such as blurring their face or blacking out any identifilying items in their car they may do so by requesting. It is not illegal to film in a public area and everyone is extended that courtesy, civilians filming police, police filming civilians, TV shows filming the public, etc...
Per year 1.3 million people are killed in traffic related incidents (crashes, collisions, etc) and an overwhelming majority of those deaths have speeding as the contributing factor in those deaths. Additionally to those 1.3 million deaths "20 - 50 million are injured or disabled." So going 11mph over the speed limit is an appropriate thing to stop somebody for. Stopping somebody for not wearing their seat belt is definitely an appropriate reason to stop somebody for. Like he said, both individuals were 18 years old, it would be a shame if they were to ruin their lives because they couldn't take the 2 seconds to buckle up. That citation will make them think twice in the future and hopefully one day save their lives. Look, I get you don't like police, and it's more than obvious by your comment, but when someone is actually doing something wrong, you can not blame the cop for doing his job. That's just the reality of it. If a cop actually does something bad, then that is the time for ridicule. But if you just don't like cops, that's no reason to ridicule for other people not following the laws and being punished as a consequence to that. We can't simply not have police administering traffic stops, the number of deaths would rise dramatically. Each stop is a potential to save a life, and that's why states have ordered their police force to crack down on people not following traffic laws. No seat belts might not seem like a big deal until someone runs a red light and slams into the side of their car and the kids are ejected from the car and killed. Then it's a really big deal, and a sad deal that didn't need to happen. This cop is doing his job and keeping other law abiding citizens safe, and he should be thanked for it, not ridiculed.
Nothing you said here was correct. By obtaining a license, you essentially give the government permission to detain you if you violate their vehicle code laws. That is a stipulation of obtaining a license. Driving is a privilege, not a right. It also isnt theft, since they knew the rules, and still violated them after agreeing to follow them. Dont like it? Dont drive.
77, please. This cop needs to come to northwest Indiana on 80/94 west between I-65 to the Dan Ryan expressway northbound in Chicago. If you are going 90 -95 the flow of traffic is passing you up. People drive like assholes here because thats what they truly are. Its like the indy 500, zig zag in and out, cut you off, tailgate, brake checking, passing on shoulder you name it.
Just because other people drive like assholes, doesn't mean I will do the same. In countries such as Brazil and Colombia and Thailand, people drive like assholes. There are non-censored sites out there (Bestgore is a good one) that post the end result of doing just that--drivign like an asshole. People's craniums half-open with brain matter splattered over the road, dismembered bodies, some cut in half and others beheaded. I'm grateful for having a law enforcement unit that at least keeps a reasonable amount presence and safety in our roads. Even with it, DUIs and reckless drivers cause some nasty accidents down here in Southern California. A family lost their children due to an asshole that was tailgating, zig-zagging and then cutting off a semi that was unable to stop. Believe me, I prefer no-nonsense CHP assholes that take our money over the other kind of assholes that regularly take our lives.
I agree. It sucks. But they are in a public place with no expectation of privacy. At the camera man isn’t walking up and pointing the camera in their face. He’s just hanging back. If he was showing their faces then I think they would need to sign a release in order for them to use the footage for a video like this. But since the folks remain anonymous they don’t need any permission. Although, on one of these videos, they forget to blur someone’s ID that is on the cops clipboard. Rough.

What’s the lesson from all this? When driving fast, drive in a group! Thanks CHP!
THIS IS AWESOME! Much love to the Respectful Cop also! Don't see that too much!! And to those saying he's Harassing them, Well i wish he would have did this to the speeder who killed my Best Friend....
Trust me, he's saving lives because my brother isn't coming back.....
+Gilbert martinez Could you site these "studies" because actual studies have shown that tickets DO decrease accidents.
abcnews.go.com/Technology/story?id=97598&page=1
Here's the actual study:

PS: You can stop talking out your ass now.
+gilbert martinez how's it feel to have your ass handed to you :-)
Funny he cites those kids and goes on about how dangerous not wearing a seatbelt is, yet if you watch both clips of him doing speed enforcement, he is not wearing his seatbelt while going 90-100 mph to catch up to these vehicles on the freeway.
I think I've watched every video with this guy and he is a firm believer in repeated punishment as opposed to behavioral correction. I haven't seen him issue a single warning. People don't learn shit when they're pissed or stressed over a citation... Warnings tend to make me drive more legally... At least... For the next few days...
"For the next few days" says it all. Try next few minutes lmao. Some people need to be hit in the wallet to make an impact.
These are great love watching officers do their job!
I don’t like how CHP makes you exit the freeway entirely. It puts you off track!
It’s better off the freeway because it’s easier for cars to not crash into you
Why is his radio start making a tone every couple seconds @ 7:14 ?
Might be emergency radio traffic is ongoing, which means no officer is to use the radio unless they are actively involved in whatever emergency is going on. When that happens the radio will make a beep or tone every few seconds to indicate emergency radio traffic. This is to keep the radio clear for the officers that actually need the radio to call for resources and keep other units posted on the situation
@@Alfredo12O44
False. CHP has those sounds for when an officer is out of the vehicle. It's a CAD/MDT based signal.
@@californiadepartmentofjust197 Oh okay, I volunteer with a local agency and that's just how our radios work
It’s the extender beep since the radio communications center are too far away
1:08 that Toyota just did a California stop in front of the trooper lol
Damn.. I’m all for traffic enforcement but 11 over is a bit tight!! I have family who are police officers and their rule is 15 or over. But it is what it is
Exactly.
Really 12 over? I live on Long Island & they don’t stop you until around 20 over
Professionalism at its finest.
That highway should be 75 not 65...
TheZombaslaya not we’re you live bud
Exactly. It even more irritating that he’s stopping people for 13 over. What the actual fuck?
In New York the LIE is 55mph. Around 7-10pm 77mph is mad slow. People would have much more respect for the police if they actually pulled over dangerous drivers. Passing on the right, tailgating, high-speed passing. From what I’m watching they just look at the readout. Horrible and dishonorable way of enforcing traffic laws.
Trulux NY is garbage for driving. 65 upstate? What a joke. Should be 80.
TheZombaslaya All they care about is their fucking money
77 mph is nothing people are going 80 mph and above on the highways. It's a race track on the out there. People don't care about the speed limit.
Andrew Villanueva exactly the speed limit on that highway if anything should be 75... it’s a nice speed for these types of freeways, 65 is too slow
@@TheZombaslaya all you people that speed and don't care about the other people on the highways. If you get in a accident and kill someone. What now!!!!!
Andrew Villanueva ok I might not seem as much if the flow of traffic is slower than what the guy going faster is then that is a safety problem.
I didn't know a passenger could get a seat belt ticket
I love these new police SUVs and Cars from ford but the biggest thing I definitely miss is the super loud V8 from the good old P71 that sound was just like the devil on these highways
Love these videos
What a fishing expedition this guy was on here...this guy is the definition of road pirate.
A family lost their children due to an asshole that was tailgating, zig-zagging and then cutting off a semi that was unable to stop. Believe me, I prefer no-nonsense CHP assholes that take our money over the other kind of assholes that regularly take our lives.
Did the officer tap the driver's radio? Or did he use the PA?
Officer jaco you Rock get thos crazy drivers and be careful out there 👍👍
@10:00 right as he says people rolling stop signs that toyota does a rolling stop lmao
I like the ad at the beginning- Castro Valley, teaching young Hispanics how to sort garbage. Skills they can always fall back on.
This was recorded on my birthday
Good for you.
How many people get unlawfully arrested?!’
HA in massachusetts the highway works like this. right lane is 65, middle people travel around 70-75 and the passing lane we do 80-85
good video
77?
that’s my cruising speed.
77 in a 65 zone. Flow of traffic is probably going faster..All about $$$ for the State.
77 in a 65?? Wow money generating at it's best.
Juan Ramirez i can see why 77 is dumb but he was also tailgating
Exactly. Fucking 13 over? If you were only doing 13 over in New York your windshield would be drenched in wiper fluid.
I have the exact watch and sunglasses! What a small world!
+Change World uhh, yeah.
The Officer was a very professional
I always wanted to be a CHP, but I don’t want to turn into an asshole like most of them are. A CHP flipped me off the other day. They pull people over doing 77 mph when most of the world drives between 75 and 80. But never stop people doing 80+.
There’s a reason they don’t wear bodycams
Watching this kind of scares me now I always hit 80 on the freeways
Joker ????? Freeways are basically designed for 80... this 55 or 65 crap is absurd
Cuts into traffic and drives 110mph to catch someone driving 77mph. California government keeping us safe.
Revenue Collection Agents
Deviant Endeavors revenue collected by the CHP, does not go to the state. So if the CHP doesn’t make money collecting from tickets, then they are not in it for the revenue.. just an FYI
Darnit, I was hoping it would be a Crown Vic. :(
And if you all noticed there was a car rolling right as he said they were looking for rolling stops
CHIP COP OFICIAL 2019 HAPPYS THANKSGIVING 🇺🇸 BENDICIONES
Just a question for any law enforcement:
I have a Taser Pulse, which looks like the kind you carry, like a baby gun.
You should realize that the cop here is so professional and polite only because he knows he's being filmed. They are not this nice off camera.
Always about the money never any verbal warnings
Livepd needs to be with chp
Speed limit in California sucks. No way I’m driving 70 mph. Chp doesn’t obey the speed limit so why should I.
Joel Cato
As a lot say, sometimes to enforce the law, you have to break the law.
You really do your job good
That's why I use a speed radar in my Bugatti, very helpful. The Max Cam 360c is the best, but pricey $800+,......!!
5:50 That cop is doing too much. The fuck he think she’s going to do to him with the taser?
Hilarious how the first traffic stop ends up with someone being rude and combative. The citizens can't stop escalating every situation
77 in a 65, gimme a break. it's not about safety it's about money.
If they're going 77, they were probably going 80 mph at some point. They deserve the ticket
Pull them at 80 over 80 ....77mph wow
77 mph in a 65?? In New Jersey that would be the slow lane. 85 mph and you would still be invisible to state police.
Why does he have a gold watch?
Probably because he has a job that he gets paid for and he uses the pay he gets from that job to purchase items for himself
Picking off cars with LIDAR for speeding in the middle or back of a pack of cars on a heavily travelled highway is nothing more than a revenue generating activity.
I was hoping he was gonna give someone a nice courtesy break, but not him, not that day. He is destined for a motor officer.
seat belt is part of me . feel weird without it
77 IN A 60, Wow such criminals.
I bet you wrote like 60 tickets that day... speeding , no seat belt , J walking , and getting coke from McDonald’s in a water cup
bro just put on your seatbelt LMAO
4:06 He just cut off other high speed cars for his pursuit. Wasn't that dangerous ?
these guys dont give no breaks lol
I want to be in the CHP
Yes its so nice in the chp I´m a chp officer and you can get this job too if you really want it :D
DarkAssassin I doubt you're a CHP officer js
DarkAssassin
Cool, badge number? And what Department area?
Same
77mph. You gotta be kidding me.... -___-
77 in a 65 isn’t bad but 120mp in a 65h is
Could you imagine having a career where all you do is pull people over and reach into their pockets with these ridiculous, expensive tickets. CHP pulls people over for things like tinted windows when all of their patrol cars have tinted windows. The chp also loves to get people for using their phones while driving when the CHP uses computers while driving and speeding. Seriously folks, what would our lives be like if the CHP wasn't out writing tickets all day ?
chp are nice officers
Dont drive.
pulling over people doing 77? they could probably write 10 thousand tickets per day. wish they would actually stop people for more serious violations
coolest chp officer ive met he went to my carrer day at slz really good guy
Not gonna lie I would not want a camera recording me what about you guys?
I agree. Rough.
Traffic cops got nothing better to do
