I fell in love with this great band in the mid nineties. Never got to see them. The Magnolia album ....the one album I would have if I was stranded on an island. And a lot of people have never heard of them. They’re missing out.
I'm 20 and I wish I could be born in the 80's so I could listen to them live. My favorite band of all time and haven't even heard them live. I heard just Mike Farris live and the whole night I had goosebumps. He's unbelievable.
Agree,. Loved thier stage presence and jam band. I saw them 10 times back in the nineties and felt like a new man with the experience and feeling. Thanks for the memories. Peace, Love and SCW!
There really wasnt a band during this period that could touch SCW. Not even the Crowes came close ( saw them many times as well ). Just incredibly talented musicians
Wow this is a great find . I remember getting their CD Magnolia over 20 years ago. I was a metal head then . I didn't realize what a great treasure I had . I play it now alot . Great summer time music.
I personally don't like the gospel side but I'm truly happy he found something to believe in, get clean and keep making music. His drinking habit was definitely going to kill him.
Love this band...such a great band that should have made it all the way to the top...Mike Farris has a voice that is out of this world. I have seen them live about 12 times. WE would drive and see them all we could in the 90's .met the band stage so many times ..they are the best. ..good times good memories.
I saw them back in the late 90's at Toads Place in New Haven CT. One of the best live bands I have ever seen. Their cover of Sabbath's the Wizard is outstanding. I never thought I would hear them play it again and a friend who was at the show with me sent me this link. Not disappointed.
Followed these guys since their release of their first LP. Been to every venue between Memphis, Nashville, Murfreesboro, and if memory serves me right, I think they played the first Further Fest in Atlanta with the Black Crowes, Blues Traveler and the remaining members of the Grateful Dead. WOW!!! What a band! The greatest band most people never heard of!! My favorite band EVER!
What a great band ! I discovered them a few years back and I am devastated that they broke up. Man, they should have kept going......Their stuff is absolutely incredible. Mike gets into his music! I guess he found God and quit the extra-curicular stuff! Great Post as I love seeing what they do and look like when they perform !
Just found this. Intersting that the guitarist already had a PRS with a Strat style body, which I didn't know existed until the JM Silver Sky. Or is it just the old Santana style body and I can't see worth a crap? Sure looks Stratty. Either way, these guys were one of the most vastly underrated, under appreciated great rock bands of all time. Long live the Screamin' Cheetah Wheelies!
heres the REAL DEAL. mike is too powerful for any band except the way he went to his own thing. the man realizes his own mortality. god bless this man.!! to you young rockers you can learn alot from this MAN. case closed.

What a voice. More suited to rock than gospel, but great at gospel too. The entire band was awesome. Never tire of listening to them.

Great sound quality. Got all their stuff. Calm audience. Definitely not in Detroit.
Holy shit. Is it blasphemy to like this version better than Sabbaths?
