About the Hawker, here's what I think: To me its clear that Neo's clones does not have the Jabberwalker's ability to prevent ascension, so during V9ch5, he got "killed" (putting this between quotes, because you know, afterian can't really die) so that means he was instantly sent back to the tree and then ascend (and that's why we see his statue on the blacksmith's table at the end of the volume) I read the wiki page about him (actually, I'd rather called that a paragraph) before writing this comment and to be honest i don't understand why people find his status so ambiguous :( but idk maybe im missing something ?
Okay but during V9ch10 we learnt that the Curious cat purpose was "Finding the broken parts of the Ever After" Then later during the conversation, the blacksmith also say : "A terrible thing to have a broken heart... And there’s nobody to send them back to the Tree for repair." Its clear that the Cat can't ascend since he is the one supposed to guide people throught ascension. Like we saw during V9Ch3 with the Red Prince and during V9Ch4 whith the Herbalist. Btw we can suppose the cat also made the papers pleasure ascend after V9Ch7 even if we don't see the scene because as you may know, a lot of things were cut due to budget so yeah maybe we could have seen that And thats why, now that the Cat no longer exist (since he was killed by Neo's clones, and can't ascend due to his origin and the way the EA works) the blacksmith had Somewhat inherit the cat's purpose, improving it as we can see in this episode by : "find what feels wrong" Im sorry but the more i think about all of that, the less i inderstand why people are confused :( Sorry about that paragraph, I didn't think it was going to take that long lmao, have a nice day :D
@@meldyluova3340 Actually I think I misunderstood you before. What you said made sense. I think I just misread it. Though I have my own theory that those who die on remnant also go to the tree. That's what all the souls we see are. Some may go to the afterlife but I think those who die with a purpose go to the tree because they have unfinished business. Even the tree ascended in a way. It's original avatar was likely the lovely carpenter who evolved to being the blacksmith. It may also be why Summer's memories exist there. Summer was there but as a soul after she died. I also think the blacksmith chose to present different parts as weapons for Ruby specifically because she always saw weapons as a part of who you are. Your weapon is part of your soul.
Why would it be Neo?! She is part of the tree right now; Also who would be using portals? It would/could be RWBY or Jaune. Somewhat doesn't know very many people.

The problem with it I think is the cat. They seemingly were consumed and killed by the Jabberwalkers Neo made and no longer exist.
