This was literally a rage inducing Walkthrough honestly.
From thick armor to paper
15:10 this part is the reason why i gave up on my insane solo run.
This walkthrough was rage inducing.
Each act has it's distinct, rage inducing, sometimes even luck based challenges.
Act 1: it's the Gunkers
Act 2: it's the Digger's, Ticker's, the Barge hijacking and the Reavers
Act 3: It's the Boomer's and Lambent Berserker Imulsion fumes
Act 4: it's the gas station
Act 5: it's the ridiculous amount of Lambent on the ground between the towers, the serapedes, and the armored Kantus
Act 6: it's the armored Kantus, Gunker with lambent support, and Queen Myrrah.
Plus you constantly battle ammunition shortages and friendly AI stupidity the whole way.
Not for the faint of heart.

Oh, that bridge ... that F#CKING bridge ... me and my friends were stuck there for SO LONG on our insane run. We were laughing ourselves to death though, so we were having fun! 😅
The hardest part for me on insane was the grub barge having to play ring around the rosey and not get killed by Theron’s or the incoming explosives.
Seems like insane mode turns your heavy armor into a coat

This was the only gears game where you can save yourself some pain by playing in arcade mode. The modifiers make it way easier, but don’t let it get to your head since you still die in a few shots.

Insane mode is truly insane. I swear, most of those deaths are just unfair bs. I don't mind hard challenges but this one just takes it too far. It's just as hard as the Dark Souls games but probably more unfair.
10:07 For anyone that is doing an insane run, you can skip this fight with the boomshot right before crossing the bridge. Shoot the pods that spawn the gunkers before they appear and the whole fight gets skipped.
Wish I would've known about that during my walkthrough.
@@RetroGemini99 Same, I've been re running it after not finishing it years ago and its....well insane. Most of the game is fine, but there are some serious spikes in difficulty. Like the developers just wanted to stack as much BS on you as possible, and not give you good checkpoints so you have to perfect the run. The Gunkers are especially tough enemies, and the first level has no less than 6 of them. What a way to start a campaign.

Insane is ridiculously hard, now today I spare myself the torture . I want to have fun playing.
its fun to do for the achievement lol. similar kind of challenge and enjoyment that people get from playing through dark souls and bloodborne. but when i just want to chill and relax, i just load into casual or normal 😂
yeah because dark souls is known for having cheap oneshots at every corner 🙄🙄

The splash damage from a gunker is so broken. The stadium entrance and the part where you land on the bridge was so not needed.

I haven’t played this game in like a year and a half maybe. I tried beating this on insane for the first time too, but I left off my play through on the final fight against Myrrah because I kept dying. I’m surprised I even decided to keep playing after dying multiple times in the previous missions. To this day, I’m still debating whether I should go back to finish it because I made so much progress to leave it there, but then again, the fight is just too stressful and will ruin my day 😤
Oh boy, I just finished the game on hardcore difficulty, and looking at how I needed to be revived often, I can tell I'm gonna suffer on Insane :(
It's not easy I'll tell you that this was my first time playing on Insane difficulty. I played on hard-core mode in the past before I started youtube if you haven't checked out the walkthroughs of the first three games on my channel make sure you check them out they may help you form some of your own strategies of getting through certain chapters.
@@RetroGemini99 I'll sure look for the guidance needed on some parts, these are insane, but I have to remind myself of the right weapons for the right occasions.

The thing that realy pissed me off was not only having to deal with the grubs it was your own teammates running right into your line of fire' pinching your ammo drop' pushing you out of cover , now i dont know if this was by design by the coders or not but it pissed me off big time & still do' .....

Yeah, General RAAM in Gears 1 was just unfair and total bs. Check out my walkthrough of the three games if you haven't yet.

The Gunkers can get killed fast by sticking them with a granade, might be helpful in a couple of missions
Yes it works but most of the time you can’t even get close because of the cleaver arm

Seriously, screw the Gunkers in Act 1, they are the reason why I forfeited my Insane difficulty run.
Update: I finally got through both the Stadium Gunker and Bridge Gunker and have made it through most of Act 2, and now I’ve found myself stuck on the barge hijacking.
Update 2: After an entire year I’ve finally picked up Gears 3 again and have finished the campaign on insane.
Hardest part for me: Queen Myrrah Boss
Total Deaths: 258 (Yes I kept count.)
They are kinda overpowered it literally takes half of your ammunition to kill just one.

Ik I'm late as all hell but the trick to the barge hijack is stay behind the middle building and hug the covers while facing the barge. The mortars will have a significantly lower chance to actually get you and all you need to do is to have grenades and a torque ready to off the guard duos and keep rotating.

Honestly if I knew that right off the bat I’d have probably made it past that part a lot faster. I’m on the final act right now, but I haven’t actually picked up the game in a bit to really throw in any attempts at whatever part I left off on.
@The one, the only, 404 ah well that's great,I'm on Act 4. It's the one where you get the dock yard and start to reassemble the ship,it's also where you first meet the serapede.

This was both the RAAM'S Shadow DLC and story mode. Walkthroughs are both up on my channel in the Xbox section.
Ngl,I think gears of war 2 insane mode is harder.
Im on the part where you're driving the tank.
3 is all about positioning and having the right weapons I find.
I had more trouble with 3 then I did with 2
3 is definitely harder. Especially Hanover for me. F**ck Gunkers. That's all I'ma say.

Can't do it unfortunately because I deleted the footage after I got through with the walkthrough last year and I came up with this idea when I was in the middle of playing Gears 2 so sorry for the let down.

Ikr, like for fuck sake, they put every section you have to go through into mini boss battles and with some being insanely unfair that you have to cheese it.
Even the side missions are hard. It took me an hour to be to just get an upgrade for Jack.

Nah I'm not going to lie I'm average at Gears this was my first time playing on Insane mode so I had to relearn how to deal with enemies when I died but if you haven't check out my walkthroughs of the first three games on my channel I think I did pretty good for the videos I put out.
