Kazuya Emperor here: -A lot of orbital launchers are safe but like -9. They take a lot of initial frames, side steppable and easy to whiff punish. -When you do 1,1,2 only finish it with the 2, if the 1st/2nd hit connects. Most times you should only hit 1,1 if you're unsure the move you blocked is -10. 1,1 is safe on its own but a high-high. -Also try adding some sidestep 3, it is a great mid launcher tool that's safe on block. - When the opponent is on the ground use FF4 -A nice mixup is you do the wavu then do FF3 so you launch punish them for blocking low. Only do this when the opponent has blocked a hellsweep or 2. -DF 1,2 into FF4 is a great i15 punish when you block an enemy move that's -15 on you. -Yea you can punish with EWGF since it's i14 but that takes a lot of execution especially on a controller.
Only do ff3 wh n your opponent has blocked a hellsweep or 2. Always do ff3 and mix in hellsweep. Don't get launch punished twice before you use the safer option

Because you've only ever practiced your combos on the left side. A lot of Korean players have the opposite issue, as they tend to often only practice on the right side. The key is to practice on both sides.

Great video, also DF2 is an amazing counter hit with great scaling and WS2 is VERY good at punishing any kind of snake edge. All of them are minus on block and if possible instead of low parrying them it’s best to punish them with WS2. Another thing for WS2 it is great at punishing wifffed moves and can even punish a whiffed electric. Also if you didn’t know you can WS2 from wave dash, if you hold back after your down input and press 2 you should get WS2 and can use it as a mid option for a mix up.

IIRC the meme is that Kazuya is better on the right side than the left because people find it easier to both wavedash and kbd on that side, so if you keep up the practice you should be able to balance out both sides pretty quickly.
