Only Sagar can get Ding for a 40 min interview 😭.... We are blessed to have u sagar. Hope Ding makes a comeback... And it will be a great World Championship match 😊
no matter how bad he play ...we can never even think of hating this man...he is so sweet .....we will definitely have a great comeback....all the best champ
Agreed, it takes a mean, mean person to throw hate at this guy who is genuinely so sweet. Sometimes the person is bigger than the chess and Ding deserves respect for what he has accomplished in his career, even if he struggles currently.
@@prcbrasyeah....only new chess fans here from india who don't know anything about ding can hate him.....or else even mean person would hesitate to do so
@@floe61 you realize no one other than you cares about any types of statistics right? You know that very well and that's why you have to like your own comments 😂😂
Such an humble pure guy. Love him no matter what. Sports really breaks barriers. Our geopolitical situation with China is tense but then you see a guy like Ding Liren and all preconceived notions go away. What a guy!
Fantastic that you guys managed to get this in person interview with Ding. It's really hard not to like the guy and wish someone with clearly such a gentle soul all the best. Looking forward to the match with Gukesh!
this is a indian channel. but dont underestimate ding due to his recent performance. This guy usually wakes up when it matters. Goodluck to both players.
Sagar always seems like a terrific guy. Infectious enthusiasm for chess and always very warm, complimentary, and considerate toward players. Always happy to see his videos for Chessbase India.
I dunno if it's really gotten better -- I've watched basically every interview he's given, he speaks much better when he's relaxed, and much better when he's talking chess rather than talking about his feelings or himself. Sagar has him relaxed and talking chess, so he speaks his best English.
I hope Ding gets in his peak form back and to also overcome from all the things he was suffering from. Looking forward to his Upcoming tournament matches. 🎉🎉
Ding seems to have felt pleasant and relaxed during the interview. Well done, Sagar, for this conversation. You two apparently understand each other well.
Thank you such a kind interview. Ding is looking good, in his Ding way. What I love about this year's WC match is that I will simply be happy to see both of them playing, no matter how it turns out.
I think Sagar helped Mr Liren realise that he is one of the best players in the world, and the clips of his old brilliant chess games showed it. ❤️ This was what was needed. After all, he's human and has feelings and emotions. Often at times, introverts are overlooked and not given the attention because of their shyness, and world champ Ding is in that state right now. He just needed that extra confidence and ego boost, and I reckon his preparation will make him ready both mentally and physically fit to verse Gukesh in Singapore. I hope for the two world championship contestants to play the best game of chess and more excellence in the coming years. ❤
This soft spoken gentleman seems to be under some kind of stress. I wish him well, and pray for his speedy return to the Chess World. He is still the World Champion.
omg so excited to see this video! I love Ding so much, this is amazing, such a personal and interesting conversation! Ding has so many brilliant games, my personal favorite is the london system he played against Ian in the world championship, such a great conversion, he was the comeback king. But he has some beauties against Magnus as well. I hope he has a good tournament, rooting for him so much! Such a nice person and great talent.
Ohh nice to see Ding Laren with Sagar. Is this real😄😄😄,He is nice and humble by nature and he should be open and free ,not to be introvert but I like him.
Almost all players have great memory. That's why whatever u want to learn , learn in childhood. Chess is started from very young. They remember multiple complex lines until 10-15 moves easily. So they do remember the position as well. What ever they see, a board is plancked inside their heads. They can play even blindfolded and without boards also
Another thing, Sagar Shah owns chess base in India. Chess base india is not just an yt channel. It's a database of literally millions of matches of all players. It was made by using scoresheets of matches played back in the 1800's to till date. Now we have digital stuff to record pgn of matches. Back in the day players wrote moves on score sheets and they still do as a part of the tradition. That's why Sagar Shah can research any game from any time of any player

Wow! Chessbase India has really outdone itself with getting this interview with Ding! Thanks to CBI and especially Ding for doing this!

Sagar reminding Ding of his greatness…
He looks almost surprised how good he was
Yeah it was curious he seemed to have no firsthand memory of his brilliant games - Searching for Ding Liren

Ding's and Gukesh's respect for each other is a beautiful thing. What a great person this guy is.
Recommended after Ding's loss. 😥 He fought till end but one wrong move. Gotta feel for him too.
But happy that Gukesh won

All we want is a neck to neck competition between them.
2019 was the time when even Magnus was afraid of Ding. He said if someone will beat him in World Championship, it's him.
Great interview sagar :)) Few can get Ding to talk in such a way it seems youre the best at it

Thanks for the great interview Sagar!
Such a nice guy. Best of luck yo him but I hope Gukesh wins.
One of the very few Chinese who is loved by Indians that's a big achievement 😂
Actually, Chinese common people are very humble. It's just that Xi's government is too land-greedy, otherwise Chinese people are good.
To be fair, Chinese are not bad. It's only CCP that's hostile to everyone and everything
A great guy. Just wish the leadership in China learns from this great champion.
Excellent Sagar bhaiya, as usual you are true to the work u do 👏👏👏
Ding is such a genius with baby face and Gukesh is another genius with handsomeness 😅
