    I’m happy to see your review and the comments of others. I’ve been driving Maxima’s since since 1999. I leased for years so I’ve had the top of line on every body style at least once if not 2-3 times. We decided to turn in our 2019 Platinum for a Rogue as we’re getting older and want more comfortable storage space. I just got the call that they’ve located a 2023 black platinum premium and although it doesn’t have automatic steering wheel and cooled front seats, I think we’re going to be happy. The saving on premium gas will be a plus. I’ll be sorry to give up 295 HP, but we’re in our 60’s so it’s time to slow down a bit. 🤞🏾😛

      Haha, the Maxima's are great, but the Rogue Is definitely easier to get in and out of for sure

    • @cedricmiller4370
      @cedricmiller4370 Год назад

      They supposedly discontinuing the Maxima anyway so you basically left with SUV lineup to choice from at this point but the rogue platinum looks comfortable know your going to miss all those Maximas and that strong v6

      How's the road noise in the cabin especially at higher speeds? Is it acceptable? Is it quiet enough to enjoy listening to the radio or hold a conversation with passengers?

    I just got a 2023 Gun Metallic Rogue Platinum yesterday and love your review! I was pretty overwhelmed with the dash options and this video really helps understanding it all! I don’t have the door plate package but pretty much everything else. Thanks much!

      @@chalegend7248 to be honest I really haven’t driven much in the dark. I do drive to work in the morning and for that little bit I’ve had no problems.

    I have a 2015 AWD Rogue SV, the CVT failed but was replaced under warranty at 90k miles. aside from that its the most tech feature rich vehicle i have ever owned. The zero gravity seats are amazing, and the camera system is like a tiny drone flying over your car, really helps backing out of crazy spots. I am skeptical about the 3 cylinder turbo, and continued use of that Jatco CVT, BUT I am hopeful they have resolved that CVT issue and that the new 3 cylinder engine holds up over time.. My local Nissan dealer near Scranton PA has a limited lifetime engine warranty, ulimited miles unlimited time, but only for the first owner. That really assures me about the new engine. And the look of the new Rogue, beats all the others hands down.

    • @TheCaptjamestkirk
      @TheCaptjamestkirk Год назад +1

      The CVT failed on my Rogue too at 62,000 miles. I would not buy another one after that, and I'm very skeptical about a 3 cylinder, variable compression turbo. Not sure about the problems and longevity of that motor down the road.

    • @occckid123
      @occckid123 Год назад

      @@TheCaptjamestkirkunless youre keeping it over 10 years then just find a dealer who has a 10 year unlimited miles warranty. I habe that on my tima bjt with 184k miles the cvt js great im just worried about my other altima thats at 430k miles. I havent had to spend money on the cvt and i have no warranty on that car.

      Relatively easy. Just takes a little elbow grease. They can fog up occasionally, but if you turn the hvac system on in the car it clears up pretty quick

    Great review. I don't think the engine sound is pumped in. I think it is a characteristic of the new 3cyl Turbo. "Alex On Autos" describes the mechanics very well here: ruclips.net/video/laCQ4hyfIfc/видео.html. For sure the new exterior design and luxurious interior of the Platinum trim is a great improvement. Glad you were able to give a real world comparison to the wonky 2019 version. 👍

    Why do people with no real knowledge of a vehicle do these reviews‽ No knowledge of the rear hatch kick to open or its divide n hide system which is why those panels in the rear are movable. No explanation of the all new CVT-X transmission etc.

      A little harsh, I’m sure with all he covered, he just might have forgotten. I think he did a rather comprehensive job on a car that isn’t his to drive every day. I found it helpful to familiarize myself with the car more quickly that reading the manual as I transition from Maxima Platinum to Rogue Platinum. 😊 ✌🏾

      The math says the 4k difference for the equivalent trim won't pay for itself unless you plan on keeping the RAV4 for more than 8 years. If not, the Rogue is reliable enough to be the better value.

      Actually since i own both types of vehicles a 2018 Rav4 LE and the new 2023 Rogue Plat 1.5T. All though the Rav has been pretty much solid, but had these small discrepancies on it like the passenger rubber roof drip rails keep popping out, tried to get that fixed by dealer, they fixed it and still does it upon car wash drive thrus. Had to replace the driver's side visor, covering kept bubbling up, and lastly i have a tiny leaks coming from Trans pan gaskets, this is a Japanese Vin brand as well.
      The Rogue so far everything is intact, except only had that fuel smell from the engine which upon found out there is a TSB recall fix at your dealership for free and has been fixed upon that so far. The gas mileage is super sweet on the Rogue vs the Rav at: Rogue city - 26 ish, Rav city - 18 ish.
