Thanks dear for exposing these evil deeds .I hope Nigerians have heard, that no country is without flaws.(that is ,for those Nigerians that project Nigeria to the world,only in a negative light,and forget to add some positivity. My sister was also defrauded in Cyprus,by a Cyprus national. A lot of Nigerians have been defrauded by foreigners,and no one talks about it....but if it's the other way around...hmmm,your guess is as good as mine. Peace out.

Almost fell for one interac scammer. He said he wanted to verify my debit card and knew the first few numbers on the card. Almost fell. He said I would get a text message and I should just call the number in the text. But when the text came it was one of those otp messages from the bank that would say don't share with anyone. That's how I came back to my senses. Thank God.

I'm so glad my mother did not fall for any of these scams and today I'm in a position to help others. I'm not an immigration consultant either - but I did manage to secure a Federal Government Job as a Permanent Resident. And now I'm trying to spread the word that you can get a good job with solid benefits as a PR. Might not happen right away but it's possible.

And once they call your name like this, as a newbie you feel like your village people have found you and you start panicking like no man’s business.
The best thing is to speak pidgin to them and watch them act confused

My 17-year-old brother fell victim to the job scam. He was sent $1,000 CAD and then asked to withdraw it or something and send it to them. His profit at first was 50 CAD until all his bank accounts were frozen and he was asked to pay the 1000 CAD back by the bank. He was told by the bank to wait one week because the bank had to come to a conclusion on how to treat the case. They had to decide whether to treat him as a victim of fraud or a criminal scammer. Lucky for him, a different person took up the case, and he was treated as a victim of fraud. The person who took up the case told him that this kind of thing was very common in Canada, and they usually just treat the person as a victim of fraud. Also, he had to pay the $1,000 CAD back because his account was left in a big, sad negative. He is still paying it back gradually because my mom definitely can't find out about it, and I don't have much to contribute to help. I have another friend who was a victim of the same scam. She also had to pay the money back .

The job one happened to me. I deposited a Cheque and they asked me to use it to buy a gift card. That’s when I called my bank quickly that when is Cheque going to clear and they told me it was scam! I could have easily been fooled cos my actual balance increased but the available funds hadn’t changed as the amount in the Cheque was still on hold 🤦🏾♀️. I was shaken o. Still recovering small sef

Interesting. I so believe these scammers prey in the desperation of their victims. Some persons would not put in the work to do their researches but entrust their monies to strangers with fantasy promises of a life of bliss

Thanks for sharing. I was almost scammed. I was looking for an extra income and joined a cash job group on Facebook. Someone posted a job for a personal assistant role. I reached out as the request was, the guy sent me a link on telegram to send him a message that we’d have a text interview. I was wondering and asked that he send via email. He said he was a busy person and that why he needed an assistant. He claimed he had an antique store etc and needed someone to always communicate with his vendors and clients. Long story I passed the interview conducted via text message. I googled the place saw that it existed but apparently the guy was just using another persons store to front. He sent the offer letter in a word doc. I already sensed something fishy but I played along. The guy then hve me a task to draft an email to be sent to his customers saying I’m his new assistant and they would be reaching out to me going forward. I did all that including creation of a new email for the coy which he claimed he didn’t hve. He said he had unresponded to emails from a lot of them. I told him to forward the emails to me but he said he would send the email addresses telegram. Note: he never called not texted so I didn’t have his number.
I sent the emails to all the people and one responded and said. Please tell your boss not to forget the gift card he promised me. I gave him that feedback and he told me would send me a check and I should go out to get the gift card.
That was when I now fully concluded that he was a scam. I didn’t respond to him anymore. Meanwhile he had sent the fake check to me. And was asking if I have cashed it. I said I don’t know how to cash it. He told me how to take the scan and that I needed to send the gift card immediately. I told him I was no longer interested in the job he then said I should transfer his money back. That was when I insulted him and said the fake money was never cashed. He should cash it himself.
I knew I went far, but I deleted the email immediately and cleared everything that could be traced to me.
We all need to be careful. Scammers are everywhere

I wouldn’t say “easily”. Canada’s temporary visa application processes aren’t the easiest out there. A good place to start is www.canada.ca and you’ll be able to navigate to the page you need

No, it’s not necessary to if you don’t have it. Two years of tuition and living expenses is sufficient.

No, that’s not what I said.
There’s no way to apply for PR without IELTS and POF (unless it’s through Spousal Sponsorship).
Study permits and work permits are not issued outside Canadian borders.
