Thanks for yet another interesting exploration of what once was a Main Line Railway Yard. Keep searching them out, please! And keep the videos coming - they're much appreciated!
You mentioned Water Troughs. The Water Towers for these are usually along-side the adjacent main Railway track. Depending on how many tracks are supplied with water troughs will be how many water towers you find!
The area in the wooded section is where the Brick Works stood and which was linked to the railway. The Clay Pit remains are at the north end of this section near the water tower.
It's such a shame when you consider how much was there before, and now it looks just what it must have looked like before they even built the railway. Such an enormous amount of unnecessary destruction
excellent thank you
Love the way you insert old photos to relate it to the past and to show where you are.
Love how you superimpose the old photos.
So sad to see what this great yard has become. An interesting video and thanks for showing what remains, love anything GCR.
Thanks.
I enjoyed that. 😊

👍
Heading north from the station, was the tower on the left? Also, was there two tracks that ran on the far left hand side, longer than the sidings ?
The tower is hidden on the right and the tracks would have ran in the middle of the yard
Time to invest in a proper microphone.... the noise really spoilt the content
