So what I put in the UCLA waitlist form (which is the additional comment page you mentioned in the video) is like a combination of a why school essay and updates of my activities and grades, right?
Jiaxin Ye you can put whatever you choose, there is no specific combination of things you need to include. what I personally included were my updated grades and a few sentences about why I wanted to attend. hope that helps!

Can you give me some advice on whether I should be report my grades? I am biology major and I failed biology in community college 2 x (last year included). Since biology series needed for transfer (and I know u are prob not a transfer), they somehow waitlisted me. I should be aiming toward a A or B right now. B more likely. I have done my finals yet too so i can't determine my grades. If i write a strong essay and not report my grades,what you think are my chances considering if they look at the waitlist applicants and saw my failed and haven't done biology yet? If i report the B, do you think that will help? And shuld I write my essay about it even though i wrote in my application regarding previous bio ds Thanks

Same but as a transfer. My GPA was pretty low-3.52-so I was surprised I even got waitlisted-I applied to 4 UCs and only got into UC Riverside-I got a full scholarship so if UCLA doesn’t work out I’ll go there.
I was wondering did you contact to UCSD when you admitted to UCLA since you already paid the non-refundable deposit? I’m currently in a similar situation as you were but I am not sure if I pay the deposit, what will happen if I end up not going there.
Debbie Ko I emailed UCSD about unaccepting my offer of admission - if you pay the deposit and end up not going there, nothing will change except that it’s a nonrefundable fee. hope that helps!

Hey, I know you aren’t directly asking me but i thought i should offer some advice. If you happen to be admitted off the waitlist at UCLA, take a look at the financial package that they offer and from there compare both UCLA and UCSD. If you happen to like USCD (classes, programs, research opportunities, location), i would create a list and if the cost is important make your decision based on the two. Both schools are great, good luck!

I'm currently a CC and international student. I intend to pursue my major in Chemical Engineering. I checked the admitted profile of success candidate of GPA requirement for my major is ranging from 3.87 to 3.96. It looks really tough. However, I'm going to give myself a chance and try as hard as I can to get there.
so i got my decision letter a few days ago and i got flat out rejected. my letter did not mention an appeal letter, however the website said for Fall 2021 that they open april 1. how do i go about this appeal process? is this appeal for only the waitlist and not for rejects? i really want to work to get in and i can prove it.
dude same i got rejected this year and i’m going to appeal too. appeals, in our case, are for people who have been rejected, there are some examples on here and online about the appeal process! ur supposed to provided additional information that wasn’t on ur application! good luck :)

I filled it out 2 days after being notified in March. They got back to me during the last week of April.
