Oxygen Not Included Ranching Upgrade Gameplay Overview:
It's been a hard six weeks of survival for our poor stranded Duplicants, but something adorable is on the horizon that's sure to make them smile - Critter Ranching! With new tools at their disposal our Duplicants can interact with critters in a variety of cute and helpful ways. Will Hatches become Dupe's best friend? Is there enough grooming in the world to make a Puft smell good? What DO Shine Bugs eat?

ONI Ranching Update Features:
►Critter Ranching
Critter ranching allows you to interact with critters in a variety of new ways and integrate them into the daily routine of your colony. Duplicants, particularly those employed as Ranchers, can care for Hatches, Shine Bugs, and Pufts to increase their happiness, farm additional resources from them, and even breed new critters for your herd.
►Critter Wrangling:
Use the new Wrangle tool and your Ranchers can capture critters alive and move them around your base! No traps required.
►Critter Care:
Tons of new buildings and systems have been implemented to keep your precious critters happy, healthy, and most importantly productive.
►Needs and Conditions:
Each critter species has specific needs that must be met in order to maintain their health and comfort. Temperature, atmosphere, and food needs will all need to be met in order to keep a critter happy, and a happy critter is a productive one!
►Critter Feeders:
Critters are hungry little guys and now have calorie stores just like Duplicants. They'll need to eat regularly in order to stay alive, but luckily feeding them has never been easier! Just pop a bit of unused stone into a Critter Feeder and watch a Hatch munch away!
►Grooming Stations:
Clip those claws, unmatt that fur, and shine those shells! Critters appreciate it when their handlers keep them in tip top shape, so be sure to build a fewer grooming station and let the primping begin!
►New Ranching Job:
This new job comes with a boost to the newly introduce Ranching attribute, and will teach Duplicants the art of wrangling critters in the wild for capture (no traps required!). Dupes who learn the Ranching trade will also be able to use a Grooming Station to give their livestock's happiness a boost from time to time.
►Critter Reproduction:
New reproduction cycles means you can ranch critters to increase their numbers. Raise a flock of twenty Pufts!
►Happiness:
You know, they say "Happiness is a warm Hatch." Well, Happiness is the new metric by which you can see how well your critters are cared for. Creatures with high happiness will not only produce more useful products, but they may even feel comfortable enough to lay some new eggs!
►Eggs!
When a critter's Reproduction stat reaches 100, they will now lay a brand new delicious adorable critter egg. These eggs can be immediately cooked and ravenously eaten raised with the utmost care to produce new critters, allowing you to increase the size of your lovable critter herd.
►Incubators:
Build an Incubator to ensure all your critter eggs are safe, secure, and most importantly, warm. These Incubators are equipped with ideal settings for each known species of critter egg, so go ahead, set it and forget it! (But make sure a Rancher is on hand to oversee the hatching!)

I really enjoy your oxygen series and I really enjoy the fact that you are honest to your viewers about your business stuff.
I have someone issues with volume that you are not as loud as the advertisement and I become shocked everytime it switchs over. Maybe there are more people with that issue?

Always love this series! Only suggestion so far is to make a tiled walkway over the good water tank so that the dupes don't drop slime or something with germs into your good water tank

I know it is concerning to me I am studying to be one and hearing this makes me wanna look a bit around IDK is mechanical engineering fun
For the food issue, the mealwood-to-dupe ratio has changed. At 600 calories per harvest, and a three day lifecycle, you need five mealwood plants to generate 3000 calories, covering three days worth of food. (Previously, they produced 800 calories, so 4 made 3200, giving you enough to feed dupes and a little more.) ... so, keep 5 Mealwood per dupe to keep them fed until you move up to better foodstuff.
Things I'd like to see in this one (long term): Be a little more careful with how you run heavi-watt wires because of their massive negative beauty penalty. I suggest setting aside a mostly sealed crawlspace somewhere on your base - an empty two or three-tall corridor that runs the length of the base, and will eventually be filled with the heavi-watt, batteries, and transformers.
Not only does that solve the beauty issue, but it will also prevent a lot of the horrendous power overload issues you had last time, by allowing a much easier transition to better power distribution. Think of it as being like the body's aorta, feeding smaller arteries that spread through the base. ;)
If you clean the water before you make it germ free it goes faster, and then you can use ore scrubber to clean the dirt/sand with chlorine
Also check the in game database for the geysers menu.

You should also put polluted dirt in the storage box in the chlorine.

Blitz, since you put airflow tiles on both sides of your main ladders, why won't you make one side a fireman pole/transport tube in the future? Might help out in reducing travel time. Love your videos, by the way!

Remember how u said last vid that u don’t want to use/build showers. Well showers can rinse off germs (I think), it lowers stress. If ur dupes are infected or occupied by slimelung germs, then you could use the shower to rinse them and send the germs to an food poisoned water septic tank. Btw, what happened to Spore in main channel.

Hey Blitz... keep up your positiv mental attitude... I enjoy all of your vids very much BUT.... to be honest... AT First i was very interested in Surviving Mars but after 3 Episode something really strange happened... I got bored... as it's not happening watching your other Vid's it was NOT because of you or your stile... Maybe Surviving Mars is not THAT entertaining to watch as other games... So keep up as long as you enjoy it making gaming videos.
Uh...oh... I nearly forgot... Maybe you should consider an extra space next to these long ladders for fire poles? In the last series it worked out pretty good?

I just purchased this game because weekend discount. I am a newbies and would like to learn how to keep livestock. By search the related keyword and land to here... I visited 10 videos already and none of video keep any animal.... why? Is it a bad move? I just wanna try to keep animal but I cannot find any basic FAQ.

I have watched both episodes so far and.. I’m sorry but I’ll not be watching this series. I really like you as a RUclipsr but this is the 10th time you start a game in oxygen not included.
I own both ony and RimWorld and I just think RimWorld is more fun to watch. I hope that if you read this you get that I’m not writing this as criticism but as personal preference. RimWorld just has a story, even though it doesn’t have as much views on your channel I think it shows more of how you play as ony. Regardless I hope it will be a successful play through for you and your channel!
Any change you could tell me when you plan on doing another RimWorld play through?
