It's not a new direction. That's who they are, finally going back to their roots. I have been their fan for 11+ years lol. The iconic red mic and mic swirling is even here again!
No, that isn't wrong in the new direction. They have already been around for more than 15 years since they formed and have been building all kinds of genres of music. I think their new album is a new rock packed with many of those values.
also remember that this is a studio version. Their live is going to be beyond amazing and that's just an understatement. Can't wait to hear them live again!! 😭
Reading the lyrics I feel that the song is about not being a coward... As if Taka is singing to another person telling them to be brave, to get out of the comfort zone. I loved it from the first time I heard it! Nice reaction 💖
The narrative is really cool for this one; I spoke with them during the writing; as far as I understand it: It is about the narrator (Taka) having facility with relationships and about the person he is speaking to being otherwise brave and competent in life--but shook to her core at their growing intimacy. Taka gets it and doesn't diss her experience. He doesn't neg her--he points out she is independent in general and very courageous in her work endeavors. She is innovative and assertive. He expresses empathy and also emphasizes she is free to go, even though what they have is real. He urges her to put her well being and what is best for her as her priority. It is a great move. It is respectful and diminishes the alarming nature of intimacy for some. He is showing his trustworthiness and we see all his feeling for her and how effected he is, but he is not whining nor being bitter. Really, really cool
The male narrator has learned to sink or swim in love. He is talking to someone who can't just dive right in and is saying, 'Hey, love can be painful. I get it. Peace. You gotta make sure you feel okay. What we have is intense.'
It’s great to see a ONE OK ROCK reaction from you again. I really love this song! I love that they’re going back to their rock roots and that we’ll have 11 entirely new songs in their new album come September. I’m so excited!!
It’s cool to see their focusing on more Japanese lyrics included in their songs again. I love the albums Ambition & Eye of the Storm but this album is going to have a different vibe. I can’t wait to see where they go from here. Thanks for taking the time to react to One Ok Rock. 🤟🏻
I love your One Ok Rock reactions and I love this song. I’m extremely happy and excited that they are going back to their roots. I think you should lower the music volume a tad bit though. I can barely hear what you’re saying. Either that, or if you could add subtitles when you’re talking.
You will love to hear it✨ 2022,In September-October, there will be 20 stages in the US and 2 stages in Canada! The venues are for 2000-5000 people. If the timing and conditions are right, you too 🌱🌱
Love what you say, you nailed it on the head I had the same thought, something wasn't really playing well with my brain during the acapella sections, and for me I also felt like there was more action going on in the MV than in the song and that disparity was also jarring (the song is very staccato so there is a lot of silent areas, yet the MV is visually loud throughout). Also love how you put effort in explaining your opinions and reactions instead of just going "10/10 that was mind blowing what just happened" all the time

I see you got clickbaited
To me it still doesn't sound like their old stuff. There is no creativity like before. Too repetative.
ONEOK"ROCK" is coming back
取り上げてくれてありがとう🇯🇵
ONEOKROCKは本当に最高です!
One ok Rock is the best rock band for me...Taka for life!
The song having more Japanese lyrics, adding to the point that they are really coming back to their roots. Plus the red mic also came back.
It's so amazed
the time i watched this video, it's remind me of good old days of ONE OK ROCK
This song took me a few times before I got into it. Now I really enjoy it. I think you should react to Vandalize, Mad world, and Neon.
It ’s just a return to origin👍GREAT
