Here are the lyrics: Don’t you know it’s been such a long long time Since I had you in my arms And can’t you see that you’re someone I’ve been trying to find When I feel your hands pressed against my back I can’t lie baby, I want you more than that Thinking ‘bout times that we had The good times and the bad At the end of every line You’ve been always on my mind I give you just what you want But I’m saying Now you got to give me just what I need And baby I need to feel your love Baby I need to be a part of Your everything Maybe they say we’re too young But that’s just fine Cuz I’ve made up my mind We both know that we’ve loved hard and we’ve lost But I got to give it up I’ve been holding back so much But at what cost? When I feel the sweat drippin’ down my neck I can’t lie baby and I can’t be more direct There was a time when my dreams were coming true Our future is so unclear Do you listen when my heart Speaks to you When I see the sun bend over the trees If I lied baby that’d be all I ever need
what? "jawn" doesnt that mean like jawn doe in the street? like "oh hit up dude" "oh hit up jawn" "that jawn boy you know the one". it didnt know it was used as an adjective? or maybe u mean something completely different
I dont give my opinion too much on songs but idk the lyrics, her raspy but soft voice and the instrumentation is so tight. But also still dirty. Which i never really find. Most tight instrumentation like that is usually very clean but this still has that garage rock feel.
Check out the live version of this song (best is "World Café" version). It's better than this album version, showcasing the bands musicianship and tightness, with less unneeded effects on her great vocals. But this version rocks, just like the entire album it comes from. My fav song on the album is Suffer Me. What an awesome song and performance.... especially the GUITAR!!!!!
what? never heard classic rock songs from the 70s? there's nothing wrong with the vocal, it's typical garage/blues rock screaming. Jack White does it all the time
+Jacek Matuszyk The main problem with the vocals is the room reverb on it that makes it unlistenable. If they removed it I bet the vocals would be fine.
John Motherfuckin' Coltrane I agree with you about the reverb. I see what they were going for, but it's too much. Sounds like she did one or two takes and they moved on. They would really benefit from a like minded producer, not to reign them in but help them get the sound they have in their heads. They seem to be obsessed with showing everone that they're independent. It's a shame because their songwriting and playing is absolutely top notch. They kill it live.
So underrated. Shame on music magazines for not featuring Sheer Mag more prominently.
Puts me in a good mood.
Can they miss? All they put out is heat.
Tightest 4 minutes since '78
Here are the lyrics:
Don’t you know it’s been such a long long time
Since I had you in my arms
And can’t you see that you’re someone
I’ve been trying to find
When I feel your hands pressed against my back
I can’t lie baby, I want you more than that
Thinking ‘bout times that we had
The good times and the bad
At the end of every line
You’ve been always on my mind
I give you just what you want
But I’m saying
Now you got to give me just what I need
And baby I need to feel your love
Baby I need to be a part of
Your everything
Maybe they say we’re too young
But that’s just fine
Cuz I’ve made up my mind
We both know that we’ve loved hard and we’ve lost
But I got to give it up
I’ve been holding back so much
But at what cost?
When I feel the sweat drippin’ down my neck
I can’t lie baby and I can’t be more direct
There was a time when my dreams were coming true
Our future is so unclear
Do you listen when my heart
Speaks to you
When I see the sun bend over the trees
If I lied baby that’d be all I ever need
This jam is fuckin jawn right here.
Love the whole album, but right now I'm stuck on this one. I love how much space they create with it.

Omg yesss baby Michael j voice 😭💕
Micheal was like 11 years old and the best soul singer on the Planet, when all the best soul artist were still alive.
She has that.
I love this song so much. I wish i caught yall at empty bottle

Fucked up but it works, actually awesome!
Can I marry your voice?
#GFOP's get some.
Sounds like listening to Eric Cartman.
feel like I'm listening to earlier Kings of Leon with a female lead
No, they got their ideas from Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards from Chic.
I love this but it sounds like Cartman succeeding at singing.
JESUS Anthony was right about the voice
What in the actual fuck did I just listen to?
sounds like cartman
:'D I wish you were less right
Guess you like Cartman, the fact that you watch Cartman sais alot. i really respect your musical critique.
So do loads of the greats
if you want some thing that doesn't sound like cartman try this ruclips.net/video/H04jyDA55j8/видео.html
gth you know nothing about music
The music isn't that bad but my god the vocals

that's lo-fi sound, it's intentional. And it's listenable for me, maybe it's the matter of hardware you're using
Vocals are perfect

the music is good, but I just can't get past the vocals
No disrespect, but she sounds like a kid from South Park.
I really want to like this band but jesus why do they always mix the vocals too high?
who cares they are great
Wow spring reverb abuse, i'd fire the sound guy who recorded this..
I’m pretty sure they record it all themselves. I think it sounds awesome
Get rid of your drummer, find a new mixing engineer
LOL @ the feedback/bleed on the first vocal line! They should just have her singing for real instead of out of some shitty amp/effect.
Great song though!
If Eric Cartman was a trans female 70s rockstar.
that doesn't make any sense
@@ineffablemars wow this joke went thru your head
Just awful
