Actually, I wasn't. lol I have no interest in a Spawn character in my Marvel line regardless of what happened.

Just a heads up, you can use those new heads on the previously released Phoenix and replace that awful head it came with.
+Odilio Gonzalez you can replace almost any ml head with any other from recent releases. They all use the same ball peg. Only issue it how high it sits on the neck

Yeah, the Phoenix figure looks amazing with the regular flowing hair head. So bad ass.
BTW, the sash is actually on the wrong side. The tail pieces should be on the right side, not the left. So the Phoenix emblem is on the correct side here, it is the sash that isn't. I've just heated them up on both Phoenix's and then slid it over and let it cool on the correct side.
@@AnthonysCustoms I use the Black Widow head on Phoenix and it looks great! Takes me back to The Animated Series

Totally agree on the paint shading. it's what separates toys from legends

High praise, my friend! AND I'm super happy about it, because this pack might be my most anticipated Legends of the year. My comic collecting began when Cyclops still had this suit--but a bit after Phoenix, I'm old, but not THAT old, lol--so it strikes that childhood nostalgia for me. Can't wait to get it!

A lot of people say this is a younger Scott. This was a hard set to get hold of, well expensive really ($90) now it will be insanely priced as everyone will want one. I can see this Scott in your top 10 if you do one this year, I can't remember you being so excited before about legends.

The saving grace for all marvel legends are that you can dremel into the head and make them sit better on the neck
Hey! The node on the Dark Phoenix belt suposed to be on her right side, that's why the phoenix logo is painted there,
We should get an updated version of Nightcrawler in my opinion
Just wish they added a wash to the yellow for shading on Cyke. Looks so bright and flat next to the shaded blues. As far as that sash goes, it is not supposed to sit in the front or back, but off to her right side. That sash just has the tendencies to warp shape in the package. I swear I have like 5 different figures with the same sash that all want to sit different because of package warping a little heat and holding it in place on the figure while running it under cold water will fix it right up.

Yeah taking out the Bucky Cap figure and comparing him to the recent releases using that mold you can see in the back of the upper torso that it slightly protrudes almost a hair more than the recent figures allowing him to bend more going back
Cyclops is cool, still prefer the 90s figure. LOVE the Phoenix. Step up from the green variant from last year

If they used the same paint shading for the Jim Lee Cyclops BAF it would look a lot better!
Finally found this pack today and I love it.
I'm glad that Marvel Legends are getting better. Which I could say the same about their Transformers Figures.

This is a fantastic two-pack, but wait until you get your hands on the Netflix wave, I picked up Blade, Punisher, and Bullseye on Kokomo Toys and they're probably some of the best Marvel Legends that have came out not only this year, but ever. The sculpts are superb, if I had to rate them from best to worst it would be Bullseye, Blade and then the John Bernthal Punisher figure, they're not perfect figures (well almost) but Hasbro is definitely stepping up their game with the Marvel Legends 6" line!
It will be awesome if cyclops had his power effect, which he has a lot of variations of his beam.
Awesome review as always!! I live in the North East and exclusives like this Cyclops and Dark Pheonix are almost impossible to come by because of the scalpers. The ML Deadpool wasn't even an exclusive and I have yet to see one anywhere other than comic shops or conventions and they sell him for double or triple the price!
I think for the torso mold they might have overcompensated and filled some of it in a little too much? I remember some figures on the bucky-cap mold started to get fairly loose on the ab-crunch, and now it's way more stiff and restrictive than it's ever been.

This cyclops is better than the Jim Lee version in terms of the paint apps.

Idk but I personally don't care for the shading because overtime it doesn't look good overtime? Some old ToyBiz look...dirty even if its just the shading. Sometimes I'll see shading that looks good but I don't mind with or without.
I would like to have it but it is only available in some countries and mine is not one of them. Should I wait for the low prices on the Amazon for this 2-pack or should I wait for a different wave which can include Dark Phoenix?
I've always wondered why an Optic blast accessory was never provide for Cyclops. A simple flat, light (in weight) clip-on of sorts would have been better than nothing.
it's because theres no good way to connect it to the head.
I don't suppose they could have made it such that the figure would come with a removable visor. Then provide 2 versions. 1 with the optic blast effect moulded in and 1 visor without the effect. Would that make it too costly? I wonder.

I finally found it at toys r us and i freaked out, but then i realized on cyclops, the abs section was put on backwards. so if you looked straight at him you saw his pecks then his back

Had to rewatch this review after the talk about Dark Phoenix on stream today. Yeah... she's not on Moonstone buck. That body is the same as the Silk/Kitty Pryde body. Those 2 hip bulges.

Part of me just hopes they re-release this but with the same Bucky cap mold, because I just know how disappointing a current release of this guy would be with their new puny body molds and tiny shoulders 🤮

@@AnthonysCustoms I don't know... I've always thought that kind of shading effects make figures look... Old? Maybe?, I think, for example, Toy Biz Marvel Legends look old, like used, even if they're in package!
In this case I fell like Cyclops looks... Washed-out? Maybe? Off-colored? I'm not sure what's the correct term for it, I'm not a native english speaker. But looks like someone throw some bleach on his costume, you got me?

@@AnthonysCustoms I think sometimes work, like that Bor figure, looks very cool... Maybe an actual shading instead of... "Lightning"(?) I'd prefer on Cyclops... I don't know, it looks too Toy Biz for me and looks weird with the other Hasbro figures... Something similar I feel with the new Scarlet Witch head...
