This ship is my daily driver. Love the look, love how she flys.
The only problem I have with it, it's that those main thrusters are too small and do not fit this chassis.
yes. same for the hercules. and the belly of the mercury is very bad designed. seems like the designer has never zoom out to look at the whole thing. he have break the flow of some very cool lines that this ship could have. but its an early crusader ship. sure they all get a facelift.

It's modest at all things it can do, IMO. Feels like it was made in haste, left at 40% complete, then forgotten. With practically no shilds or hp in the current state, it's an easy target. Not to mention it acceleration honestly could be bumped up too. There is like 80 things I could talk about this ship as it's my daily flyer.
Maybe they heard you... and Nerfed the fucking hell out of the Corsair.
So, MSR Way better than the corsair will be?
I do wonder with the promised 'new' mechanics of no soft death or exploding ships, components being targeted etc, if all those tunnels and stilted extra level would lend to the MSR having further resilience and an advantage under attack
It should be one of the fastest ships as the poster boy for "Blockade runner" or "Smuggler" ship its kinda sad how much of a paper weight it is.
I love the looks of this ship, but I simply cannot find any good reasons for why I should be using it. Bummer.
Playtesting an alpha, using the MSR and immediatly dooming and glooming that data running will never be in the game, even though the game isn't even finished yet. What a "smart" comment.....

It might be fun to use a vehicle to act as rear gunner in a co-op. To bad about the wasted space. Maybe a "closet swap" feature can be put in that recesses them into a wall or otherwise swaps for something useful and coherent.
This and the Max are the smallest ships that can fit the Nursa.
You forgot the Valkyrie. It’s even a tad smaller than the MSR. While I don’t really like the Freelancers because of the cockpit view, the Max is a marvel of spacial efficiency. Cheers o7
I been fighting fanboys for years, that 2 size 5 or at minimum 2 size 4 should put on for pilot control. Fanboys started crying on that will make it a fighter or battle ship, it only blockages running. They are stupid , MSR has alway been designed to be eye candy and a moving target. So CIG should an upgrade the weapons and speed. Great video and I approve it.
The MSR is just a cool ship for flying around and its fast as fuck
The cargo grid for loading 3X24scu does not work.
CIG would make so much money if they made a smaller version of the MSR, remove the tunnels, remove the lift, less doors then switch the "data running" servers for either more cargo/fabricator/crew space.
They sort of did - it’s called the Spirit and is pretty popular

I see what you mean, but the things most* liked about the msr were its asymmetry, comfy crew quarters and the smooth body work.
Whereas the spirit has virtually no crew quarters and is very angular, and was quickly made obsolete by the zeus mk2

Have you tried the sever meshing yet? Seen videos showing stable 1000 players but I'd be more interested to see what your experience is with it.

No, I havent. I dont see how having 1000 or 10000 players would solve the underlying problems and lack of content and development though.
@gemreviews2840 no definitely won't but was just wondering was it really as good as the high profile content creators are saying. One guy said he played it for a few hours without a 30k, which I find astonishing since I can't play for more than 30 or 40 mins without a server issue.

Yeah, the server meshing narrative from CIG, is that it will fix the problems with the game. Combining servers into a big cloud is just that and nothing more. So rather than experience the bugs or CPU bound areas of the game like you normally would, instead you experience them with more traffic from the combined servers. Thats it..
I had that ship 2 times... melted it 2 times. never ever getting back to it until they fully redesign that thing... 10000 doors and dont get me started with that dumb elevator in the rear... This is by FAR the most OVERRATED and USELESS ship in SC
The elevator actually comes in handy if u are carrying box to store in the habitat area
