A take a road trip from that Atlanta area to the Great Smoky Mountains to ride Tennessee's latest MTB offering.... Vee Hollow. There is a lot to cover here and unfortunately I did not have enough time to preview all of the trails and the skills area. Unknown at the time, I rode these trails sick with COVID. I was fatigued but didn't know why. I spent the next 48 hrs in bed with a 102 degree temperature.
Despite this.... nothing but fun times.
This trail system has a lot to offer. You are greeted with a nice gravel parking lot and bridge that goes across the river and a welcome map where you are to sign a waiver. Next, on your right, is the skills area. This are wooden jumps, skinnys, wall ramps, and a pump course. Up a little further to the right is the large jump skills area with 3 jump lines. There are not progressive jumps, although the 3 jump lines combined together can be seen as progressive. All jump lines have wooden jump ramps with right landings. The far right jump line is the smallest and easiest, with the far left jump line being the largest and most difficult. Past this area is the trailhead to the bike trail network. There is a 80 yard wooden ridgeway. Once you have passed this area, the trail systems splits into 2 sections / mountains. If you want the most groomed, most popular trails, fork left. If you want less groomed, less popular trails, fork right.
