@@_mako - i'm not objecting comparison but i think comparison should be done to have a better understanding instead trying to figure out who is better than who. - By trying to think who better than who, you would easily fall into the mindset of "becoz this is the best so i need it" which can easily lead to FOMO, i had fall into this and many people had - Feixiao in reality is very flexible with her teammate, she is not very picky with who will be her partner or not. For example Acheron need you to bring nihility on the team but there is no similar restriction with Feixiao (yes Feixiao want char that can do a lot of action like fua or extra turn but this is something being encourage not forced). - Hsr combat will require you to switch around your teamcomp to better adapt to enemy line up so there is no 1 solution to every problems (unless you a whale that can just e6s5 everything then feel free to brute force) => Due to Feixiao flexibility and hsr combat, any char that can pair with Feixiao is an option, not a mandatory or forever stuck with her. => by thinking of char as option instead of mandatory/"i need this char", it make seeing char as optional which help lessen the fomo (atleast it work for me so far)
Moze is significantly worse in PF and AS. PF his kit basically ceases to function and AS wants you to kill adjacent mobs as fast as possible. Topaz's mark mechanic automatically transfers to a new enemy after they die unlike Moze who needs a turn to mark a new enemy which makes Topaz way less clunky. March is free and far more versatile than him.

I will say, this is one of the more favorable battles for Moze in that it is a 2 phase battle with chunky elites, almost no target switching, and Lightning Weakness. The problem that Moze is generally going to have in a rather significant amount of content is that he simply can struggle to maintain Prey uptime and any need for target switching simply does not work with him. This fight doesn't have to worry about that. In the right scenario, he is obviously very good, but if the battle does anything to disrupt his ideal setup/sequencing he quite literally falls off a cliff.
@wyattskyy I wouldn't say moze is necessarily better for big bosses, for example in current apocalyptic shadow, even the big bosses in the mod where moze should shine the most have so many summons and required target switching, damage is similar but topaz feels infinitely more comfy even at e0s0 imo. Another thing to mention is that the better your robin, the better topaz will do over moze

Honestly kinds mixed feelings about it though, it'll make some units like moze worse, but it'll also make some like seele better. At the very least it makes for much more interesting bosses, and forces them to make cooler hunt units that can deal with such conditions like boothill and feixiao
This is where hunt 7th is gonna enter my team instead. I just see no reason on pulling for topaz when my moze is good enough to clear content against elites and bosses and march does the job in all other aoe scenarios. Which is also partly why I feel topaz is overrated. To perform ever so slightly better on a team archetype that is good enough without her presence by using a 4 star literally paired with feixiao and robin banner and a free one you get at e6 with no reprecautions is just bad character for me.

It likely would have been bigger if the enemies were fire weak & electric weak. Gotta remember the numbers are skewed about 10%+ depending on how it averages out towards Moze given the resistances. It's not the end of the world difference but the margin is a bit higher than seen in this video for sure.
I no longer have any FOMO about not having Topaz. E6 Moze on 2pc FUA and Duran with Dr Ratio sig. Nearly 300CDMG w/ total combat procs, seen 300k from one ult+fua, not to mention the frequency of attacks with Feixiao and Aventurine

Missed a category: Target Switching. - Moze really struggles when switching target (after boss 1 dies and you need to focus on boss 2). He also has to wait a full turn to reapply debuff, if a boss takes more than 9 hits to kill. - Topaz automatically switch to the 2nd boss after the first boss dies. Overall, fair amount of balance. New character 4star power-creep is reasonable. 4 Star is perfectly viable replacement but actual 5 star still has a reasonable advantage.
Its simple, just use the one whos element the enemy is weak to. Topaz's incredible toughness bar damage plus the trace that increases damage to fire weak enemies by 15% gives her a clear advantage in that situation. If enemies resistances ever increase the elemental type advantages will only get bigger and may one day become mandatory.
I was lucky enough to get e6 moze before e1 feixiao so far i pulled him 14 times total after getting fei e2 (i'm still pulling trying to get e0 robin) moze is totally worth building at e2 and up i'd only use march over him if u already have her build or don't have his e2 he has more FUA letting fei stack faster, overall more personal dmg and provides better dmg buffs for fei👏👏
Another worthy mention is that if you have e2 Feixaio, topaz is strictly better because her basic is counted as a follow up. This leads to more/sooner Fei ultimates than if you had moze
The only problem with Moze - he is sometimes losing Robin ult forward, cause he is off battle. But this is nothing compare to TopAss E1S1 Requirements for Ratio. I, personally, run 2 fua teams rn. Ratio/Ting/March 8/Moze. Fei/Robin/Aven/TopAss E0. Both works well.
I think you missed one Numby attack by Robin ulting before numby's turn 5:39 , which would have generated more energy for Topaz plus generating 1 more stack for Feixiao. Again at 8:24, if you had just done topaz turn and let numby attack then cast topaz and robin ult. It would have allowed Numby attack one more time overall, generating one more point for Feixiao. These are small differences, but I think they are meaningful if the fight was actually tough. Thank you for video.

@@AnastasiaPhantom Robin's ult doesn't reset numby's position back to bottom she just advances forward the team, so all she does is delay numby's action for 1 action of the team because normally one attack is enough for numby to act immediately and this time with robin's ult buffs, which is exactly what happened, if he had let numby act she would indeed go back to bottom, and she would need more attacks than 1 to act so he did end up winning damage that way

We end up with Numby at bottom, Fei Skil 50% > Fei Fua 50% > Numby attack > Fu xuan 50% > Fei Fua 50% > Numby Attack > Topaz 50% if we use Numby attack before Robin Ult. Exact same position if we use it before as Topaz only has 2 stack of her ultimate.
This is very interesting. I’m not a master at topaz rotations lol. My idea to help get the hits enhanced at 0av but I get what you’re saying if you can advance enough to get back it doesn’t matter you can still get the hits but more. I use Topaz for fire weakness enemies, Moze for lightning weakness enemies, Topaz if neither element is present. If both elements are present, I use Topaz just because my Topaz stat is better than my Moze's. I'm focusing on farming relics for Feixiao first.
Me, seeing valid points about Moze being better at Topaz in certain scenarios: neat Also me who has Topaz E0 and got Feixiao and E1 Robin before getting E0 Moze: I'll just stick to Topaz.
what I like about using Moze for Feixiao than Topaz is that majority of the time, Feixiao's FUAs overspeeds Numby forward where he is already 0 AVs and Feixiao is still doing FUAs, you really have to wait for Numby to FUA before you could continue bringing him up again. Which is a waste compared to Moze who can potentially do FUA twice if you meet the requirements.
Well, my Topaz is E1S1 and Moze is only E4 so I guess the answer is always going to be her for me. That sure isnt going to stop me from using Moze though! Dude's a badass!
it would be a more interesting comparison once the enemy starts powercreeping characters since u are more likely to use up all of moze's stacks in those fights. because at the moment where the most random feixiao teams i have seen can still zero cycle kafka its really hard to make accurate investment predictions. it would be interesting to see then if the additional personal damage moze provides will give him the edge over topaz since the enemies right now just die too fast for him to use all stacks

Getting Topaz LC instead of Topaz herself is better for future investment. E2 Moze is enough to synergize with both Feixiao and Dr. Ratio and you'll spend less compared to getting Topaz E1 and her lightcone. Not only that, he can trigger FUA frequently too to stack up Feixiao's ult. Moze can be SP friendly since triggering his talent gives a total of 3 SP in 1 prey mark cycle, so I don't get why some people kept telling everyone in the comments he's not SP friendly when I don't have any SP problems when using him with Feixiao. Either they're coping or they have no experience on using him along with Feixiao and Dr. Ratio.
Agreed, E1 Jade + Feixiao is INSANE. With 150 speed + another 30 from Jade, Feixiao can do 3 turns in each Robin ult, overkill in MoC but very noticeable in DU and Apoc
TL;DR: March is the queen of comfort, Topaz is braindead damage and Moze is just cool. I personally find march's playstyle to be the most comfortable. unlike the other two, she is actively skill point positive, and her follow-up makes generating aureus very fun with the triple FUA. Moze is the opposite, since he needs his skill semifrequently, and gets removed from the action order (meaning he can't basic to get skill points back). You can get away with basic attack spam on Topaz but only if your willing to stick with that one enemy till he's dead, making her great for more braindead play that just boils down to murdering everything but arguably a sidegrade to Moze at higher eidolons in more strategic clears.
March is broken with fei, bug on moze’s argument the only issue with moze is its only really pheasable on a boss because since his debuff doesnt transfer itll only be useable on a big target or else youll just kill the prey and he will just leave for a while lol
Its simple guys , if u got e2+ moze while pulling robin or feixiao or both, just dont get topaz. What should u do then ? Get rest of his eidolons when next time he runs on a banner and if u want to invest more , u can get topaz lc for moze. Disclaimer : this advice is for f2p. My experience : i pulled both robin e0 and fexiao e0 and got e5 moze in the process. I am already at 60 pity and want to save for aventurine so won't be pulling e6 now but u might get lucky and get e6 in 120 pulld just like me.
I don’t think Pioneer is a a fair comparison since Topaz will do better with the follow up set. I think a better comparison would be same variables and put them on their best relic and planar sets
IMO I think Moze (at least rn) is the best option mainly because he's featured on Feixiao and Robin's banner. If someone pulled for both they probably already have an E2 - E6 Moze (unless you're hella unlucky or super lucky). I think he's strong enough at E2, arguably stronger than E0 Topaz and requires less pulls in general imo.
no hes not as strong as topaz at e6 hes comparable but otherwise no topaz is just too good. Entirely sp positive, huge 50% vulnerability debuff, can consistently follow up in quick succession and not just at most 4 times like moze and DIRECTLY benefits from follow ups

E2 Moze will amp Feixiao's damage more, and generate a bit more stacks for her. E6 March will probably do a bit more in terms of personal damage, and will generate more SP. She can also help deplete enemies weakness even if she's off element. Moze E2 will probably still result in higher team damage for 2 reasons: 1, amping your main damage dealer. Feixiao is the main DPS, making her do more damage is more valuable. 2, because he attacks more often, that not only means more stacks for Feixiao, but also more Robin damage. However, March is comfier thanks to her SP generation. I'd say Moze wins in most scenarios, but it's not that far off. Use whoever you like more. If Moze was E6 (or even E4) that'd be different.
I don't think it makes sense to match Moze rotations, it would make more sense to play them both optimally. I get the idea, but wouldn't it be better to see how they compare when you actually play them the way they each should be? Or at least do the reverse as well, play him like her, which good luck with how inflexible he is. It scuffed your rotations on her. You also Robin ulted before a Numby hit, eating up some of his action, and you could have Fei ulted to advance him even further, because you overcapped her ult (even more so if you didn't Robin ult too soon), overkilled with her, and wasted a turn on her. This was an interesting enough video, but I don't think it actually highlighted the differences or pros and cons very well. One of the biggest pros to Topaz is not having to play around her debuff timing cuz the auto switch, playing around it because you want to match Moze just makes him look better instead of giving a full picture. This should be Topaz VS Moze dmg comparison, cuz that's what it is. It's like only comparing JQ and Pela by sheer numbers.
I have tried to get robin E1 bc my thought process is that Robin E1 paired with Moze E3 should be better than Robin E0 with Topaz E0, right? Ik having more characters might be better so I should pull for topaz but im trying to get ropbins still
You only need E2 Moze for her to perform similar to E0 Topaz, so getting Topaz is never an upgrade to the team when you could spend the 5 star pull on Fei lc, Fei E1, Aven lc, Robin E1, or Robin lc which are all far better damage increases compared to the 0 getting Topaz does outside of the situation where they are fire weak but not lighting weak. Even in those situations though you would prefer one of the previously stated upgrades instead.
the question was "Topaz or Moze", not Fei S1, not Fei E1, not Robin E1, and not Robin S1. those are different discussion cases and requires separate considerations that are unrelated to the question on hand. that being said, Moze at E2 offers competitive debuffing capability as Topaz, sure, but still not competitive in terms of damage. as about E6, alr stated in my original comment, ain't gonna look for 7 copies of a 4* in a Hoyo game that requires E6 to be competitive on ALL fronts with the one Topaz alr built and good to go, offers more SP flexibility, minimum attention to debuff, flexible in targeting, and even nice on auto. enemy weakness and RES coverage is a different issue altogether, because that's where Topaz and Moze (and Hunt 7th) can coexist: as teammate options for Feixiao, and that shan't be used as an indicator which is better.
You did misplay the topaz side. You should have waited with robin ults when numby would have gone both times and that way you cancelled a numby attack both times, especially when bonanza was up. That way you also would have had the extra 5 energy and in total, one extra fei ult stack in total. Topaz would have come out ahead in that case

By the time I have e1 Robin and e1 Topaz, is Fei's light cone just overkill? I like to get my DPS units their LC's generally but the team already seems so strong and I know there are more good characters coming up...
Topaz is the superior partner, but Moze is almost as good for ST fights and so is March. Once you have multiple elites, I find Moze a bit clunky at times
The gap only may differ if your Feixiao is e2 and you are aiming for a 161 spd topaz, then she could outperform Moze e6 due to the frequent FuA. But at that point you could clear any content with ease now and no need to pull Topaz🫡
E1 topaz vs e6 is truly not fair and she still got beaten in dmg which is embarrassing for her , yeah am not going to use her ever again and she can stay in the void

Moze for Ratio is better than e0s0 Topaz bc of the debuffs he provides but his dmg boost is a bit less + his FUA buffing isn't 100% uptime. If u got Topaz LC then she's just better bc she keeps the bonuses she has over Moze but now she also has an extra debuff for Ratio to use

Missed a category: Target Switching.
- Moze really struggles when switching target (after boss 1 dies and you need to focus on boss 2). He also has to wait a full turn to reapply debuff, if a boss takes more than 9 hits to kill.
- Topaz automatically switch to the 2nd boss after the first boss dies.
Overall, fair amount of balance. New character 4star power-creep is reasonable. 4 Star is perfectly viable replacement but actual 5 star still has a reasonable advantage.

Its simple, just use the one whos element the enemy is weak to. Topaz's incredible toughness bar damage plus the trace that increases damage to fire weak enemies by 15% gives her a clear advantage in that situation. If enemies resistances ever increase the elemental type advantages will only get bigger and may one day become mandatory.
I was lucky enough to get e6 moze before e1 feixiao so far i pulled him 14 times total after getting fei e2 (i'm still pulling trying to get e0 robin) moze is totally worth building at e2 and up i'd only use march over him if u already have her build or don't have his e2 he has more FUA letting fei stack faster, overall more personal dmg and provides better dmg buffs for fei👏👏
Another worthy mention is that if you have e2 Feixaio, topaz is strictly better because her basic is counted as a follow up. This leads to more/sooner Fei ultimates than if you had moze
At 6:53 you can use the weaker attack in your ult to maybe keep the enemy alive!
The only problem with Moze - he is sometimes losing Robin ult forward, cause he is off battle.
But this is nothing compare to TopAss E1S1 Requirements for Ratio.

Ratio/Ting/March 8/Moze.
Fei/Robin/Aven/TopAss E0.

I think you missed one Numby attack by Robin ulting before numby's turn 5:39 , which would have generated more energy for Topaz plus generating 1 more stack for Feixiao. Again at 8:24, if you had just done topaz turn and let numby attack then cast topaz and robin ult. It would have allowed Numby attack one more time overall, generating one more point for Feixiao. These are small differences, but I think they are meaningful if the fight was actually tough. Thank you for video.

@@lucyvalentine8026 It is literally one free extra attack. Missed. It would not deal less damage to have 2 extra free attacks. Yes, they would deal less dmg than with Robin ult, but Robin ult resets Numby's position back to bottom so only thing that happens is that Numby loses one free attack.
@@AnastasiaPhantom Robin's ult doesn't reset numby's position back to bottom she just advances forward the team, so all she does is delay numby's action for 1 action of the team because normally one attack is enough for numby to act immediately and this time with robin's ult buffs, which is exactly what happened, if he had let numby act she would indeed go back to bottom, and she would need more attacks than 1 to act so he did end up winning damage that way
@@lucyvalentine8026 It is true that Numby would need 1 more attack to advance back to top but Fexiao generates 3 attack and Fu xuan 1 and topaz advances Numby by 100% each action under the ultimate. And since Topaz acts last of the 3. We end up with Numby at bottom, Fei Skil 50% > Fei Fua 50% > Numby attack > Fu xuan 50% > Fei Fua 50% > Numby Attack > Topaz 50% if we use Numby attack before Robin Ult. Exact same position if we use it before as Topaz only has 2 stack of her ultimate.
This is very interesting. I’m not a master at topaz rotations lol. My idea to help get the hits enhanced at 0av but I get what you’re saying if you can advance enough to get back it doesn’t matter you can still get the hits but more. I need to test around more and get all of her complexities understood. Thanks for the comment!

I use Topaz for fire weakness enemies, Moze for lightning weakness enemies, Topaz if neither element is present. If both elements are present, I use Topaz just because my Topaz stat is better than my Moze's. I'm focusing on farming relics for Feixiao first.

what I like about using Moze for Feixiao than Topaz is that majority of the time, Feixiao's FUAs overspeeds Numby forward where he is already 0 AVs and Feixiao is still doing FUAs, you really have to wait for Numby to FUA before you could continue bringing him up again. Which is a waste compared to Moze who can potentially do FUA twice if you meet the requirements.

it would be a more interesting comparison once the enemy starts powercreeping characters since u are more likely to use up all of moze's stacks in those fights. because at the moment where the most random feixiao teams i have seen can still zero cycle kafka its really hard to make accurate investment predictions. it would be interesting to see then if the additional personal damage moze provides will give him the edge over topaz since the enemies right now just die too fast for him to use all stacks

Getting Topaz LC instead of Topaz herself is better for future investment.
E2 Moze is enough to synergize with both Feixiao and Dr. Ratio and you'll spend less compared to getting Topaz E1 and her lightcone. Not only that, he can trigger FUA frequently too to stack up Feixiao's ult.
Moze can be SP friendly since triggering his talent gives a total of 3 SP in 1 prey mark cycle, so I don't get why some people kept telling everyone in the comments he's not SP friendly when I don't have any SP problems when using him with Feixiao. Either they're coping or they have no experience on using him along with Feixiao and Dr. Ratio.

Agreed, E1 Jade + Feixiao is INSANE. With 150 speed + another 30 from Jade, Feixiao can do 3 turns in each Robin ult, overkill in MoC but very noticeable in DU and Apoc
TL;DR: March is the queen of comfort, Topaz is braindead damage and Moze is just cool.
I personally find march's playstyle to be the most comfortable. unlike the other two, she is actively skill point positive, and her follow-up makes generating aureus very fun with the triple FUA. Moze is the opposite, since he needs his skill semifrequently, and gets removed from the action order (meaning he can't basic to get skill points back). You can get away with basic attack spam on Topaz but only if your willing to stick with that one enemy till he's dead, making her great for more braindead play that just boils down to murdering everything but arguably a sidegrade to Moze at higher eidolons in more strategic clears.

March is broken with fei, bug on moze’s argument the only issue with moze is its only really pheasable on a boss because since his debuff doesnt transfer itll only be useable on a big target or else youll just kill the prey and he will just leave for a while lol

I have E4 Moze and E6 March. There isnt much difference aside from March being really easy to use.
I don’t think Pioneer is a a fair comparison since Topaz will do better with the follow up set. I think a better comparison would be same variables and put them on their best relic and planar sets

Your Feixiao is so similar to mine. I'm at 2.7k atk (but my lc is lvl 60), 139 speed, 96% crit rate, 150% crit dmg and I'm using the exact same sets
IMO I think Moze (at least rn) is the best option mainly because he's featured on Feixiao and Robin's banner. If someone pulled for both they probably already have an E2 - E6 Moze (unless you're hella unlucky or super lucky). I think he's strong enough at E2, arguably stronger than E0 Topaz and requires less pulls in general imo.
no hes not as strong as topaz at e6 hes comparable but otherwise no topaz is just too good.
Entirely sp positive, huge 50% vulnerability debuff, can consistently follow up in quick succession and not just at most 4 times like moze and DIRECTLY benefits from follow ups

If u dont plan to pull for more Moze Eidolons, then use E6 March
E2 Moze will amp Feixiao's damage more, and generate a bit more stacks for her. E6 March will probably do a bit more in terms of personal damage, and will generate more SP. She can also help deplete enemies weakness even if she's off element. Moze E2 will probably still result in higher team damage for 2 reasons: 1, amping your main damage dealer. Feixiao is the main DPS, making her do more damage is more valuable. 2, because he attacks more often, that not only means more stacks for Feixiao, but also more Robin damage.
However, March is comfier thanks to her SP generation. I'd say Moze wins in most scenarios, but it's not that far off. Use whoever you like more. If Moze was E6 (or even E4) that'd be different.

I don't think it makes sense to match Moze rotations, it would make more sense to play them both optimally. I get the idea, but wouldn't it be better to see how they compare when you actually play them the way they each should be? Or at least do the reverse as well, play him like her, which good luck with how inflexible he is. It scuffed your rotations on her. You also Robin ulted before a Numby hit, eating up some of his action, and you could have Fei ulted to advance him even further, because you overcapped her ult (even more so if you didn't Robin ult too soon), overkilled with her, and wasted a turn on her. This was an interesting enough video, but I don't think it actually highlighted the differences or pros and cons very well. One of the biggest pros to Topaz is not having to play around her debuff timing cuz the auto switch, playing around it because you want to match Moze just makes him look better instead of giving a full picture. This should be Topaz VS Moze dmg comparison, cuz that's what it is. It's like only comparing JQ and Pela by sheer numbers.

You only need E2 Moze for her to perform similar to E0 Topaz, so getting Topaz is never an upgrade to the team when you could spend the 5 star pull on Fei lc, Fei E1, Aven lc, Robin E1, or Robin lc which are all far better damage increases compared to the 0 getting Topaz does outside of the situation where they are fire weak but not lighting weak. Even in those situations though you would prefer one of the previously stated upgrades instead.
the question was "Topaz or Moze", not Fei S1, not Fei E1, not Robin E1, and not Robin S1. those are different discussion cases and requires separate considerations that are unrelated to the question on hand.
that being said, Moze at E2 offers competitive debuffing capability as Topaz, sure, but still not competitive in terms of damage. as about E6, alr stated in my original comment, ain't gonna look for 7 copies of a 4* in a Hoyo game that requires E6 to be competitive on ALL fronts with the one Topaz alr built and good to go, offers more SP flexibility, minimum attention to debuff, flexible in targeting, and even nice on auto.
enemy weakness and RES coverage is a different issue altogether, because that's where Topaz and Moze (and Hunt 7th) can coexist: as teammate options for Feixiao, and that shan't be used as an indicator which is better.

You did misplay the topaz side. You should have waited with robin ults when numby would have gone both times and that way you cancelled a numby attack both times, especially when bonanza was up. That way you also would have had the extra 5 energy and in total, one extra fei ult stack in total. Topaz would have come out ahead in that case

Topaz is the superior partner, but Moze is almost as good for ST fights and so is March. Once you have multiple elites, I find Moze a bit clunky at times
The gap only may differ if your Feixiao is e2 and you are aiming for a 161 spd topaz, then she could outperform Moze e6 due to the frequent FuA. But at that point you could clear any content with ease now and no need to pull Topaz🫡
