I was in that audience. The whole concert was that electric. This was their encore and we got to see it twice so they could ensure they had enough good camera footage. It was fabulous. If you ever have the chance to see them, don't pass it up.

Adam uses a looping station to help layer the beatboxing effects. He does a drum solo where he layers on top of himself also usually or Man o Constant Sorrow, they loop the jaw harp sound etc, and show the audiance what is happening.
Adam's just "air drumming" when you see his hands going crazy. lol His station is just a double looper (though he's an alien, even Adam can't produce 3 or 4 sounds at once. Haha). He explains the looper at the show and puts in the effects. That leaves him free to add a whole other bunch of effects live while hitting buttons for the varied repetitive sounds. 👍😳 I wouldn't even be able to keep all the sounds and buttons straight so it's amazing to me! 🤯
Hey Diana! I was there with my granddaughter, front row. Were you closer to Janice,she Freya,her support dog with her. We were just left of middle by Chris. It was great!!!
The energy of that huge (!) audience is nearly overwhelming, and Home Free is exchanging it in kind! Wish I were there. They really do sound as good live as recorded! Love our reaction! Congrats on the new sound system.

These 5 guys are that energetic from the 1st note of the show... to the last one! This was shot in Adam Rupps home town...Mankato MN...so I assume this was extra special for him!
So good live. If you haven’t yet you need to see their short live version of Chance’s hit Skull and Bones which they did for the Ubisoft crowd (makers of the game Skull and Bones). Tim goes insanely low. This was great!😄
I love their live videos - they're usually even better than the studio ones. Their singing, harmonies & Adam's beatboxing are always terrific. This was professionally filmed; however any audio/video deficiencies of audience taken videos are more than compensated for by the energy of the performance & the enthusiasm of the audience. And there are loads of fancam videos! NOTE'- ADAM CHANCE has an extended version of "leave her Johnny" on his channel!
If you haven't seen it yet another great sea shanty is Jolly Sailor Bold by The Bass Gang. This group, four great bass singers from three different part of the world, I think can be considered part of Home Free's circle of friends. Tim Foust joined them for their video Hooked On a Feeling, making that 5 fabulous bass singers sounding great together.
This is, I think the first professional recording they have done at a live concert. Most of the live recordings on RUclips are taken on personal phones! I, personally would love to see them do some more of these! I did see them live once, they are such great, down to earth guys!!👍👍 Thanks for reacting!!❤❤
It was an amazing concert.. December, 2022, the Christmas concert in Mankato,Minnesota, the birthplace of Home Free. I got UVIP tickets for Christmas for my granddaughter. We were in the front row! And they are nicest men you will ever meet.
The guys are so entertaining and amazing live! They feed off of the crowd, so for this song, the energy if off the charts crazy! They are really great live! They will be starting a new tour this Spring in late March.
Wasn't that great! Finally a professional live recording! This is one of my favorite medleys. Fan recordings on their phones can never clearly capture the true sound. So glad Home Free did this.

I think they set up Adam with special mics for the shows. Not only with extra compression for his hand held but mics to pick up his stomps or fist pounds. You can see it in some live recordings, like a live version of Hillbilly Bone, where there are stomps in the percussion. He is using his feet in a specific place on stage (at least on the one I saw). There has to be a mic picking up those stomps because in the venue with audience and the vocals going on, they would not be as loud as they are. But keep in mind that I know just enough sound engineering to be dangerous so it is truly just a guess. LOL

When Tim does the bass you can just feel your chair shaking.
My studio speakers hit way more levels than my studio headphones. I appreciate the input. I hear everything, though. I don't miss anything- I assure you.
