Maybe even in heaven I won't know either. Just because we can't see it with our physical eyes doesn't mean that we can't see it with our 6th sense, intuition and souls eyes. I've grown to accept that I'll never know in this life or the next. I'll feel heaven though and that's enough. Somewhere the road goes on forever.
It's been at least 10 years since I watched this movie, say down and watched it again. Wow. I'd forgotten just how awesome it really is. The acting is superb, the writing excellent. The ambience is perfectly in line with the plot. And the idea that we're surrounded, every day, by angels, that we're not alone. And then I look around and I'm reminded that it's fiction. At least it's a great movie.
I wonder about that. After all it's not like those were the first words out of his mouth. Remember his first question and the manner he asked it. Innocent and without I'll intent, almost childlike. Can you really say you'd gain fear in the remark that he was there to visit you after that and not a strange sense of curiosity? Keep everything in context.

I think the allure of this film (for me)...is that he could “see” her. I do realize this is because he could read her emotions/thoughts, but it’s still powerful. We shouldn’t expect others to read our minds. But it would be nice if someone really wanted to know who we are. So many people are focused on themselves and don’t take the time to simply ask. And then again, some of us ask and are met with silence. Why are we so afraid to let someone see us, yet have this longing for someone to do just that?
