- With the holidays approaching, you might want to add something extra special to your cards! Use your Cricut for addressing envelopes with either the pens or even the foil transfer tool. With this technique, you can add addresses to your envelopes with any Cricut machine. That includes the Cricut Maker, Cricut Explore series, and even the Cricut Joy. Watch as I show you how to locate both your to and from address and how to add the envelopes to your machine.
Is your handwriting horrible? Guess what? It no longer matters! Just type the addresses into Cricut Design Space and let it do the writing for you!

Thank you Angie. Your videos are always so helpful and easy to understand
Happy to help!
Yay!! After 3 years I have finally opened my Cricut! This tutorial helped a bunch! Thank you!
Glad it helped!
Thank you for sharing!❤️❤️Your video was straight to the point and very easy to follow❤️
Thank you for watching!
I have decided I am finally going to commit to buying a Cricut. I have saved all the instruction emails you have sent me and I am excited to buy one.
Wonderful!
Thank you for doing these Cricut videos. You really do give great instructions that I can understand. God Bless you and your family and Have a wonderful day
Thank you so much!
Never mind, lol I didn’t hear it the first time but I understand it now. Love your videos by the way!!!❤️ They are super helpful👏🏼😁
Angie. Thanks for the great tip on the gel pens. That’s good to know. I’m not sure the foiling is worth the hassle and if you are doing several envelopes it would be time consuming and pricey.
Oh definitely! I could see it for an extra special card!
Thanks. Loved seeing the comparisons.
Glad you enjoyed!

Thanks I found this very helpful😀
Thank you, this video helped me tremendously
Glad it helped!
Very informative. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Great video! Thank you!
You bet!
You could turn the envelope upside down and the address in design space to prevent smearing on the from address. I like this cause my handwriting is not the best these days!😱🤣🥰👍🏾
You can definitely do it that way as well! Either way! My hand writing is horrible!
I think Jennifer Maker said you can use a rubber eraser to get the foil up. You might try that on the mat where the foil transferred to it.
It is still sticky if you get the foil on it I just hate the look of it! I would think the eraser would pick up the adhesive though. But thanks!
If you use Silhouette foil with the scoring tool it will work. Also you don’t have to use tape, it sticks .
Maybe I used the wrong one but it didn't work well for me at all: ruclips.net/video/_RoEa_LiMLs/видео.html
merci beaucoup
You are very welcome!
How did you get the box there for the envelope? Is it a text book?
Couldn’t really see the foiled results. The rest I could see thank you for sharing...
It was suuuuuper hard to see on camera! I think you would need to do the bold tip to get a wider line if you were going to use it for actually mailing.
Thank you for this video. I would like to ask how did you have the red line to appear on CSD? I don't see how to get that to show up. I'm using the Explore Air 2.
I am not sure which red line you are referencing?
Angie could you recommend a free writing font as I do not have Cricut Access. Thanks and great tutorial as I finally made Christmas cards and envelops on my Maker.

Great video Just wanted to check- Were all the pends Cricut brand? Also- it seemed a huge waste of costly foil- so much empty space in the garbage. Would it be doable to just use strips across the envelope as necessary instead of whole sheets?
Thanks
I did use Cricut pens. You can use strips but you have to get your location exact to do that.
What set base material did u use?? I have the cricut maker 3 and I’m trying to send out graduation cards but when we put the envelope on the mat, it crinkles up and destroys it (using paper, adhesive-backed)
My guess is the envelope is not stuck down well to the mat. Try a stronger grip.
What do you do to change the to address? Can you use the same envelope unattach to edit and then reattach?
Yes! Unattach. Type a new one. Reattach and click make it.
@@AngieHolden Thanks😀
@@AngieHolden I tried that it didn’t work for me? Do I do a new text box?
😢 I have tried and tried, using the exact same font, my black Cricut pen, and the moment I choose DRAW, I get outlined letters. I’m using my iPad Air. Is that why? (I hate my PC 😬)
Try changing the font to writing instead of cut. There are two different pull down boxes.
Can you do multiple envelopes at the same time?
Yes. You will just need to locate the address for all of them on the mat.
I wonder if the foiling would rub off with the processing of the mail.
I can rub it with my finger and it doesn't. Might be worth sending a test sample to a friend!
I have watched several of you tutorials and I love them. You are very clear in showing us what to do. So, I had to try to contact someone because I am so frustrated. I cannot get my cricut joy to cut or draw anything. It is connected to my bluetooth but it just sits there blinking and doing nothing. Has anyone else had this problem? I have been trying to get this to work for days. I have tried to get helps through the cricuit help line but getting nowhere. I don't mean to bother you but I don't know where else to turn. If you could give me some advice, I would love it. Thanks
Hmmm. Does it give you any error message at all? Will it feed in the mat/material? I am trying to determine at which point it is just sitting there and not working. I would make sure everything is up to date including your software and firmware.
@@AngieHolden Thanks for answering me Angie. It does not do anything but blink. It does not feed. I have tried with mat, and without mat and it makes not difference
I am going to guess it is the sensors that feed in your material. They are not picking up. You will need to contact customer service and let them know. I am assuming your machine is still under warranty.
@@AngieHolden Thanks for your help
Ok times that by 50 for my Christmas card list, uhh, nobody has time for that!!
Ha! You would be surprised at what people will do!
I have the time...Christmas shopping is about half done...
I am trying to write inside a card with my explorer air but when i set it to 20 pt it does not stay how can i write something inside a card i have been trying for over 1 hr. thanks
Doesn't stay in place on the card? Or doesn't stay the right size?
@@AngieHolden I CANNOT GET IT TO STAY IN PLACE IN DESIGN STUDIO SO I CAN WRITE MESSAGE
It will move once you click make it. Move it on the mat on the screen before drawing.
What other free writing fonts can be used?
Here is a whole video where I talk about single line fonts: ruclips.net/video/sZ1zjMtaWec/видео.html
When I go to make it Cricut doesn’t let me move my addresses around like before. They just stay the way Cricut has it later out. I don’t know if this is the new feature with the update but it’s making me really mad
I just tried mine and it is still working. Maybe try restarting and see if that fixes it.
Think the foil will be ok in mailing? I’d be concerned it might get rubbed off?
It seemed to be fine. You might do a test send to yourself or something and make sure!
I think it depends on where you live, for example I work for the post office in Germany there is no way we would be able to deliver it here since it doesn't seem like the foil could be read by our sorting machines.
Am I crazy I didn't see the gold foil on the envelope
It was light but there.
It doesn't seem like the address is centered? There's less room on the right than the left?
Sorry? You can work on it if you do your own?
