Awesome! I saw them a long time ago as a little kid in a small town in the SE US. Not a usual place to view them, so they must have been unusually energetic. And by now it's more a memory of having seen them than a memory of the actual sight. Great that you got a recent good look and captured them for the rest of us on video, with Hood rearing up center stage...!

Awesome vid! Thanks for posting. Did you hike all the way back to the TH in the dark? I was surprised how little snow there was till I realized this was filmed last October

Yes, it was a long slog in the dark! I recently broke my ankle, so I've had some extra down time to catch up on previous climbs I didn't get to yet. So yes, the approach would be very different right now, but the ridge itself should be fully in!

    Nice video.
I would recommend against climbing with a ring on your finger, however. I've seen a really nasty injury from a fall with the ring stuck in a crack.

Did it in '03. Don't recall it as being greasy at all. Polished after 20 years of popularity? Or is my memory botched.

Not sure, but I think it is primarily the type of rock is extremely slippery and smooth
