Haha yeah, you kind of get to a point where there’s nothing really “new” on the market so things start looking similar at the core of it all. The newest thing I’ve seen is people adding small 15-18 inch touch screens into their setups which is pretty cool in terms of browsing files IMO or just scrolling through pages. Most of the things you listed end up becoming the “norm” because of the versatility it adds. For example one situation in my case: when I use the table to shoot photo or video I can re-adjust the height of the table rather than fiddle with the tripod column or legs.
Do you use a HUB or KVM for switching between the gaming PC and Mac ? I am struggling with finding a nice one. Maybe someone have a idea ? Btw. Nice Setup

Thanks Kartik! For now I do it manually but a KVM switch would make my life or anyone else’s much easier. The only reason I haven’t jumped on one is because my ideal setup is to have these systems separated so I can split work and play
Can you make a video on your MIC setup with settings. I have the same mic but the audio always comes out low even with high gain. High gain makes the noise more staticky
What interface do you use and how far do you position the mic from you when speaking? Ideally you should get the mic as close as possible. The audio in this video was recorded on a Zoom H6 with the Shure MV7 and there’s also post processing on the audio. I boosted the gain in post, added a compressor and a few other filters. 2 possibilities to what could cause this that comes to mind right now: 1) There’s an issue with your XLR cable. I just noticed the 12 ft XLR I use at my desk has some static so I need to replace it. (Tested it against a 6ft XLR I had laying around) Also apparently it’s possible that your cable isn’t balanced and there are resistors in line so just make sure to check that as well. I haven’t experienced this myself so I’m not too familiar with this phenomenon 2) If it’s less of a high pitch static sound and more of a hissing it might be the interface picking up the noise floor as you crank the gain. (for example I notice the noise floor on my Zoom H6 and Rode NTG4+ when using a 25ft cable when i turn the dial past 5-6 ) solution for this is a different interface or adding something like a cloud lifter in-line before you get to your interface. Hopefully it’s resolved with just swapping your cables. I’ll definitely make a video covering audio options in the future, adding it to the list now!
Not too familiar with how the GOXLR mini handles the audio but 1000% set up some filters on OBS. They make a HUGE difference and clean up your audio. Bump the gain, throw on a compressor, noise gate and a limiter.
Jw did you find the 14" MBP too small to work on? I have a 16" right now but occasionally wonder if I should have went with the 14" for the smaller form factor. I used to have a 13" but hated it because the screen was so small lol
The grass is always greener I see LOL It works and I kinda wish I got the 16 inch just because I use the laptop display pretty often when I edit my videos. The Macbook display really puts the other monitors I have to shame 🥲 If you work off monitors more than the actual display the 14 inch is great
All filmmaking lights 😅 I haven’t gotten around to getting lights for the setup itself yet It’s the Nanlite 30X (a little pricey for what they’re being used for in the video)
Since I use touchID pretty frequently I’d just switch my keyboard out when I’d use my Macbook and pull out the MX Master 3 at the same time so I didn’t have to think about swapping peripherals much. Since this video I’ve separated my gaming and work setups so I never had to explore KVM switches

Macbook display is really solid, M1 chip runs pretty smooth and personal preference (example: I prefer finder vs windows explorer when working on videos, spacebar preview is really nice. I know on windows you can get seer but it doesn’t work as well) another big reason is to separate my gaming system from work system (i also plan to split them into their own desks)
Hello bro!!, Amazing video really, but I will change some things in your setup or make some sugestions. First, the Windows pc y much hardwere for only Valorant, I supose what you also play other games and edit other things in this pc, but is my opinion. Second, the Scarlet Solo is good for the MV7, but for the Sundara is better choice go to Hifi equipement, around 200$ or 350$ in a Dac/Amp is more than enougth for this headphones. Third, I recomend for you edit with the Sundaras, why the Airpods are conected to your Macbook since BT in AAC (320kbps/s) and the audio are very compress, in the other way with the Sundaras you have since 1500kbp/s or higher. Only are observations bro, after this is a amazing setup, congratulations.
Thanks for watching and your comment! For the PC I need it to run at 280hz since I play at 280hz and I tend to sit around 300-400 frames during gameplay. I built this one based off my old PC which had a 5800X and a 2060 I agree with what you’re saying about powering the Sundara (I actually excluded that part from this video as I felt it was getting a little too detailed and long to talk about) I have a Monolith Liquid Spark and a Topping E30 that I stashed away when I needed to make space on my desk and reduce the amount of cables going to my PC And once again I agree with you about the Sundara being better for editing and I’ll usually use them when I start to focus on my sound during the process. Every single one of your points were really great and helpful! (Thanks for specifying the audio bitrates it’s great to know the exact digits)
Since I don't swap between them too frequently I manually swap the inputs on the monitors but I'm planning on adding a KVM switch to make this process a bit more seamless. Mac=Work PC = Gaming and since I try to avoid having those times overlap throughout my day so I don't absolutely need to be able to swap between them on a whim
I put more priority to the 280hz for gaming cause I’m very particular about the position and heights of things when gaming vs when working I’m more lenient with those things and just work with what I have Aiming feels weird if things aren’t in the ideal positions
To expand on this on the work side is that I rely on the display of the Macbook a lot more than I thought I would. The colours are just way too clean on the Apple display so it seems like I’m gonna have to shell out for a studio display eventually 🥲 unless I find an alternative
the IDASEN containers are nice and well built, but not worth the money, especially if the money would be better invested in the IDASEN desk. Miles above the BEKANT, with Linak motors, one of the best in industry, and even in the top height I couldn't make it wobble.
Honestly my 2 main reasons for the IDASEN was the open top that I initially used for my DAC/AMP and headphone storage and the wheels. I think at the time the IDASEN didn’t exist/ have a motorized version for the desk (roughly 6-7 years ago) or it was out of budget for me at the time. I got the shorter version of the BEKANT for budget reasons and kinda regret it now because of how constrained I feel if i want to use the sides of the desk vs directly centred
I tend to edit on the laptop without any monitors pretty often because of how good the display is. So the extra screen real estate would be super nice. I do enjoy the portability of the 14 inch though. Kinda hard to decide which I’d value more between those two
@@ShaqHossain i have 16. i feel its kinda big, esp if you commute and want to use it in public areas, such as cafe, trains and libraries. i wish i would have gone for 14 but with 32GB at least.
very nice setup, so clean. the only thing i would like to point out is the orientatione of the aio. if you front mount the radiator like that the pocket of air in the cooler will go in the intake-exaust zone of the 240 mm. i would reccomend top mounting but since you have an itx case you should definitely flip the radiator upside down or air bubbles could go in the pump affecting noise emissions and performances. If you want a more accurate analysis of the topic you should check this two videos (those two guys saved my ek aio rgb 240 mm and my system) ruclips.net/video/BbGomv195sk/видео.html ruclips.net/video/DKwA7ygTJn0/видео.html p.s. thank you for the inspiration
Glad you enjoyed! And for sure I had a few comments regarding this already but like they said in the video it’s still “okay” as long as the top of the rad is higher than the pump itself but the ideal position would be with the tubing going to the lower portion of the case. I might need be doing a case swap in a few weeks so I’ll do it all at the same time!
@@ShaqHossain For the kraken the pump is located on the radiator where the tubes connect in, so flipping the radiator would essentially take it from worst case straight to best case scenario. They were right to say its fine if the radiator is higher than the cpu block, but currently your pump is the highest component. Fortunately it looks like there is enough room to flip and fit it in your current case but if you are going to swap anyway then definitely re-arrange it along with that.
@@ztingo Oh damn thanks for letting me know my dude! I didn’t realize that the pump was in the radiator block at all. Appreciate that you let me know. I’ll definitely be flipping that regardless of a case swap now. I didn’t spend much time looking into the cooler aside from the GIF options (LOL) and thought the pump was in the cpu block. It was a super impromptu decision to build the PC
Just wanted to update this thread since I just flipped the radiator, instantly noticed cooler idle temps at around a ~ 10 degree drop. I did find that my idle temp was pretty high before but brushed it off as me being picky.

2 possibilities to what could cause this that comes to mind right now:
1) There’s an issue with your XLR cable. I just noticed the 12 ft XLR I use at my desk has some static so I need to replace it. (Tested it against a 6ft XLR I had laying around) Also apparently it’s possible that your cable isn’t balanced and there are resistors in line so just make sure to check that as well. I haven’t experienced this myself so I’m not too familiar with this phenomenon
2) If it’s less of a high pitch static sound and more of a hissing it might be the interface picking up the noise floor as you crank the gain.
Comment got a bit long there haha, hope it’s helpful in the mean time!
I have Shure MV7 as well. I’m using GOXLR mini. I try to keep it close to my face. Record on OBS. Thanks for replying.
Not too familiar with how the GOXLR mini handles the audio but 1000% set up some filters on OBS. They make a HUGE difference and clean up your audio.
Bump the gain, throw on a compressor, noise gate and a limiter.
@@ShaqHossain Will do. Thank you!
Jw did you find the 14" MBP too small to work on? I have a 16" right now but occasionally wonder if I should have went with the 14" for the smaller form factor. I used to have a 13" but hated it because the screen was so small lol
The grass is always greener I see LOL
It works and I kinda wish I got the 16 inch just because I use the laptop display pretty often when I edit my videos. The Macbook display really puts the other monitors I have to shame 🥲
If you work off monitors more than the actual display the 14 inch is great
Where did you get those tube lights
They're Nanlite Pavotube 30x!
Only issue with the 1080p monitor is it being 27 inch. From everything I have read 1440p or 4k work better for 27in.
Not the best in terms of PPI but it works fine for high refresh rate gaming
@@ShaqHossain well with the GPU I can understanding.
How about lightning? U didnt say anything about a lamp that emites that big soft light. What is it?
All filmmaking lights 😅 I haven’t gotten around to getting lights for the setup itself yet
It’s the Nanlite 30X (a little pricey for what they’re being used for in the video)
what camera do you use it looks like a movie!
A7S III (Video mainly) and the A7IV (Hybrid Photo/Video)
how do you connect the pc and mac at the same time to your sound card ?
Curious how you switch all your peripherals between the Mac and PC?
Since I use touchID pretty frequently I’d just switch my keyboard out when I’d use my Macbook and pull out the MX Master 3 at the same time so I didn’t have to think about swapping peripherals much. Since this video I’ve separated my gaming and work setups so I never had to explore KVM switches
How do you connect the same keyboard and mouse to both computers?
Great job man! New sub here. Keep the great content coming 👍🏼
Thanks Nenad! Appreciate it!
10/10 video!
Thanks Shaun!
nice setup man
Thanks!
Yo my man , look for the steelcase leap at BTOD, they are a refurbisher and reviewer of chairs, usually its 1200dlls for that chair but you can get it for 600 from them. I can tell you as an ergochair owner. Customer support from Autonomous is amazing. But the chair is not made for a 6'5 300 pound dude. xD (195cm)
I’ll def take a look! Took a quick look and saw it was a cloth chair if I’m not mistaken
Definitely leaning towards mesh for the next chair but not hard set on anything
@@ShaqHossain Kinda both actually, The mesh only is as good as the material its made from, A well made padded chair will beat a low quality mesh any day of the week, Source: I've also been a mesh boy most my life
@@NoNameNinjaa 100% mesh wise the only thing that has my eye is the Aeron, my uncle has an older one and I swear every time I sit on it my lower back transcends to the heavens LMAO
@@ShaqHossain Worth checking out BTOD's channel
they are suuuuuuper chair and desk focused they teest ***everything*
@@NoNameNinjaa I just skimmed through the video he has covering the Leap and it was super detailed. Gonna give it a proper watch later, thanks for the recommendation!
Another absolute banger dude. Excuse me, off to learn how to properly colour grade now 😂
Thanks my guy! Lets goo! A deep dive into colour grading always pays off!
Clean AF 😮
wow nice desk setup 2023 my drm
what size softbox is that?
35 inches i think? Aputure Light Dome II
Hey bro
I wanna know which is best keyboard under 80 dollar.
If you’re gaming with it stay away from bluetooth options, they add too much latency IMO. If you’re not gaming there’s a ton of options available with almost every brand.
A few Mechanical keyboard options:
Keychron has a lot just connect with USB
Logitech g213 is 50$ G413 TKL is 70 CAD (this was my first keyboard i think or the 412)
Corsair K65 mini on sale at 70 CAD
@@ShaqHossain I want it wire
And fullsize and thank you bro ❤️
Sorry G213 is actually a membrane and not mechanical but i’d look into keychron since they cover a lot of use cases
You should try the Presonus PD-70, it's rumored to be the same can as the Shure SM7B
Ooh that’s interesting, especially at 120 CAD 👀 I’ll be looking into it
@ShaqHossain heck yeah!
How do you switch between the mac and PC?
Did you shoot this on the A7-IV or the A7S3?
Mix of both (some cable management parts were with A7IV) but the majority is on the A7S3
where did you get that sick wall paper from?
Wallpaper engine: Gravity Falls
Are the dividers from ikea?
I believe they were from Amazon and it was around 20-30 CAD
man if you wanted too you can buy a elgato hd 60 x usb card too dual pc stream if that mac book can handel it i build two computers for that reason for dual pc setup one for editing and recording lets plays and one for gaming only
What hard drives do you use? External and internal?
What USBC dock do you use?
For now my Lacie 2bigDock gets the job done since the newer macbooks have a ton of ports directly on them. Planning to find a dedicated dock though
Great video. How do you afford all this? That must be at least $20k worth of stuff lol.
Thanks! Yeah you’re almost spot on with that estimate if camera gear isn’t included yet 😬 I’ve been adding things one by one over 5-6 years so it doesn’t feel like it was a ton of money all up front
just struggling with something, Why don't you use the PC for content creation?
Macbook display is really solid, M1 chip runs pretty smooth and personal preference (example: I prefer finder vs windows explorer when working on videos, spacebar preview is really nice. I know on windows you can get seer but it doesn’t work as well) another big reason is to separate my gaming system from work system (i also plan to split them into their own desks)
@@ShaqHossain u damn right about the spacebar preview in mac, I hate windows, so why can't they give the preview option.
@@passh9558 Look up “Seer” it’s the closest thing to it
It’s kinda mediocre though
I built this one based off my old PC which had a 5800X and a 2060
I agree with what you’re saying about powering the Sundara (I actually excluded that part from this video as I felt it was getting a little too detailed and long to talk about) I have a Monolith Liquid Spark and a Topping E30 that I stashed away when I needed to make space on my desk and reduce the amount of cables going to my PC
And once again I agree with you about the Sundara being better for editing and I’ll usually use them when I start to focus on my sound during the process.
Every single one of your points were really great and helpful! (Thanks for specifying the audio bitrates it’s great to know the exact digits)
How do you use both your pc and MacBook with your setup?
Since I don't swap between them too frequently I manually swap the inputs on the monitors but I'm planning on adding a KVM switch to make this process a bit more seamless.
Mac=Work PC = Gaming and since I try to avoid having those times overlap throughout my day so I don't absolutely need to be able to swap between them on a whim
Why would you keep the 4K display as the secondary?
I put more priority to the 280hz for gaming cause I’m very particular about the position and heights of things when gaming vs when working I’m more lenient with those things and just work with what I have
Aiming feels weird if things aren’t in the ideal positions
To expand on this on the work side is that I rely on the display of the Macbook a lot more than I thought I would. The colours are just way too clean on the Apple display so it seems like I’m gonna have to shell out for a studio display eventually 🥲 unless I find an alternative
@@ShaqHossain they just announced Samsung's ViewFinity S9. 5K & 27inches. You should get a review unit
I’ll try! Haha I wonder if they’ll send one over or not to a channel at such an early stage 🤞
too dope 🔥
🙏🙏🙏
the IDASEN containers are nice and well built, but not worth the money, especially if the money would be better invested in the IDASEN desk.

🙏🙏 how’d ya know?
LMAO i just realized i said it in the first minute of the video
@@ShaqHossain yes indeed 😆

why 16 and not 14. What i regret that i stuck with 16gb ram. should have at least upgraded it to 32gb if not more.
If you want a more accurate analysis of the topic you should check this two videos (those two guys saved my ek aio rgb 240 mm and my system)

p.s. thank you for the inspiration
@@ShaqHossain Very glad to hear that, all the best with the current and future builds 👍
Give us a expense breakdown so can know at what point i can afford all this.
