IIRC Watame's traveled to a convention or two in SEA, most or all of HoloX has been abroad before. I think we'll see something soon, traveling to Japan is rapidly becoming normal for ID + EN. Sounds like Bae is describing a Cellar Spider, which hey why wouldn't they be in Australia I guess... Anyway, Cellar Spiders are basically the only type of spider I have literally no issues with. Like I've found them crawling on my arm before and I'll just grab it, and while holding it lightly in my palm, chuck it across the room with a "fuck off!!" For real though. Cellar spiders are cool. They're also champion gladiators. I've witnessed several deathmatches between cellar spiders and other spiders and the cellar spider always wins. They just use their long spindly legs to hold their opponent at a distance until they get an opportune moment to get a bite on them and letting the venom do the rest of the work
Random fact from a zoologist in training: apparently the term "daddy long legs" doesn't refer to one species and actually varies depending on where you are in the world. It's a colloquial term that refers a small bodied spider with long legs often appears in houses. Sometimes even arthropods will get thrown under the same umbrella that aren't even technically spiders. So "daddy long legs" to an oz would be different than to a Floridian like myself or to a Japanese person like Marine and Suisei. But they are not venomous like Bae said and Suisei is right that they do help with controlling other insects so it is good to keep them around :) I approve of her habit of letting Ken linger in her house, sasuga Oz
Aren't there two different daddy-long legs? There's the actual spider, called a Cellar Spider, and then the Harvestmen. For people who don't know what a Harvestman is, it's a small arachnid that's often confused for a spider but is genetically closer to a scorpion.
That's true. There are at least three different species I know of that are called "daddy long legs" depending on where you are in the world. And two of them aren't spiders.
I had a spider living in my radiator at one point. I took a peek now and then and there were some small insects caught in its web. Little pest control officer. Then one winter morning, I saw the spider had fallen out of the radiator. Dried up, legs curled together. Dead. And I was sad.

That's the first time I heard Sui-chan laugh so hard after knowing the spider's name.
They're laughing. Original Ken could be DEAD and they're laughing. RIP Original Ken, you were a real one.
Everything's so big in Australia, yet Bae's so smol...
she's big in other areas. so it balances out
@@colex110are you talking about her big heart, right?
She's not small, she's just average Australian size🤣
Our house has a wolf spider which is a daddy long legs on roids.
It's the size of a plate and since we've had it in the house, we haven't had any other pests.
blessed suichan scream
depending on the time Bae started keeping tabs on the lad, most likely it wasn't Ken #1 anymore. RIP Ken #1 you were a real one and you were like a father to me.
I like the idea that any spider in that room is "Ken". As in, even if three spiders enter at the same time, they are all "Ken".
Ken has become a hereditary title, passed from one Daddy Long Legs to the next. They live their lives in service to Chaos.
o7 to the first Ken and to the successors from 2nd to 4th Ken for helping Bae keep her room clean by getting rid of the Big G's
That bug...
He's just Ken
Imagine if Bae showed a picture of a spider web forest, that would be trauma-inducing.
Huntsman eggs hatching in the light fixture. Bathroom ceiling covered with tiny spiders. Had that happen at least twice.
Or the floor covered with baby wolf spiders after the cat found a mother carrying her kids and batted her around the hall.
I feel like a sick saddist to say this
I kinda wanna see suisei suffer with australia's creepy crawlies XD
You monster... I agree!
@@KillerCLbee why are we like this XDDDDD
Its morally wrong but it feels so right XDDDDD
Why
@@legendarydigitize2523 Maybe it's because you want it that way...
Yeah.... When you said "Why" I had to go with the backstreet boys song that Suisei loves to sing so much.
@@MarcSola7 it is still morally wrong in all directions XDDD and i feel guilty XD yet i might find it satisfying too XD
Oh she likes backstreet boys?
Polka will love to join in as well for Suisei's screams
1:55 I love that laugh of Suisei, it's quite rare to me
im pretty sure that is bae's laugh, followed by sui's
My old place was full of Daddy Long Legs spiders, and I thought nothing of it, because they were harmless and tiny.
My current place is full of huntsmen, and while they are also (mostly) harmless, they're also huge. One keeps insisting on sitting on my monitors while I'm using it. Not exactly pleasant to bump into while you aren't paying attention.
Everbody gangsta, until your precious house spider comes down from the corner of your room and crawls over your bed. 😱
アシダカグモは鼠も食べるはずだけど大丈夫なの?
クモの中にはネズミを食べるものもいますが、通常は非常に大きな種類だけです。その時点ではどちらが害虫なのかは議論の余地があるかもしれません。wwww
Ken, much like Geralt's horse Roach, is always named Ken even though it's a different spider every time.
Funny thing is, Bae meant "Ken" like "Kenny," while Marine and Suisei probably just think she named a spider "Fist"
Flashback to that time Kanata found a bunch of silverfish in Minecraft and lead them to Suisei, making the poor comet scream her head off.
Good. Child predators deserve that. No boy lovers in holo!
Suisei looking at daddy long legs: Screams
Me at the toilet while taking a shit: Another Giant hunstmans spider.
Normal people: i dont like spiders. australian: do your work ken i dont like cockroachs.
As someone who lives in a place with a hot climate (tropical area) I can attest Bae that bugs and other small animals like geckos are really common in our households. In my house there are probably 3 geckos and a pair of wolf spiders living somewhere, all of them with names. Sometimes a dangerous spider would appear though, not inside the house but at our porch or garden (seeing a Brazilian wandering spider coming out of your shoe is pretty scary)
I once had a fucking scorpion coming out of my show, nearly had a heart attack.
Since then, I always check my shoes before putting them on
@@silverrey7379 i found a scorpion one time while cleaning up outside
About the size of a rice grain
It isnt venomous though because the tail and stinger are proportionally small for its size
And then i looked at the claws which are proportionally large and thicc for its size and that is how i knew it wont kill me
Usually
Small tail and big claws=grappler type scorpions
They usually rely on their claws to catch and crush rather than use their stinger
Its the opposite that you have to avoid at all costs
Bae: *Befriends random spiders*
Me: "I'll let you live as long as you kill the ants."
Showed this video to my huntsman, she seemed to enjoy it 😂
When I heard long legged spider, I immediately thought Bae had a Huntsman hiding in her room and was terrified.
Nene: husband #1, husband #2, husband #3...
Bae: Ken #1, Ken #2, Ken #3...
The moment she said "it leaves and come back" I thought "Nah, sweet summer child." but she actually knows the truth.
The title of jen is like jojo it's passed on from one generation to the next with the duty of protecting ever corner of the know room
These three are just so much fun to see together lol I hope they do more things like this!
I also had a Spiderbro in front of my Window he made sure that no flies got in my room the whole summer, I miss him even though I can't stand insects.
I love how suisei is this cold psychopath till she see's a spider
I think it’s a nice idea to have off- collabs in which Jp holomems visit EN or ID( although hard and far- fetched, it’s still nice though)
Plus, Suichan and Korone could go to Australia to cope their aversion to insects . Just look at Haachama
Imagine they share stories of how utterly terrified they are at every corner XD
Are you sure it is a good idea they might have their minds broken or shit XD
JP passport is fairly strong. Polite, well-behaved, few political thorns, and pretty wealthy. Perfect tourists; in other words, not many countries where they need a visa. The biggest barriers are HoloMem's very busy schedules, their audience's schedule, and the cost / exchange rate. IIRC Watame's traveled to a convention or two in SEA, most or all of HoloX has been abroad before.
I think we'll see something soon, traveling to Japan is rapidly becoming normal for ID + EN. IIRC Nene and Flare have mentioned possibly vising Europe/Kiara, Indonesia is relatively inexpensive and a similar timezone as JST, presumably soon to be 12 members strong.
@@klondikesaloon7026 I'm not talking about JP passport as we all know its one of the most powerful in the world but their willingness to travel overseas and yes their schedule.
Suisei going from scared about spiders, to laughing and being fully engaged in the story upon hearing that its name is Ken.
Sounds like Bae is describing a Cellar Spider, which hey why wouldn't they be in Australia I guess... Anyway, Cellar Spiders are basically the only type of spider I have literally no issues with. Like I've found them crawling on my arm before and I'll just grab it, and while holding it lightly in my palm, chuck it across the room with a "fuck off!!"
For real though. Cellar spiders are cool. They're also champion gladiators. I've witnessed several deathmatches between cellar spiders and other spiders and the cellar spider always wins. They just use their long spindly legs to hold their opponent at a distance until they get an opportune moment to get a bite on them and letting the venom do the rest of the work
Ken #7 will be the legendary spider that will gain powers of it's ancestors.
Refer back to when Kanata led a bunch of silverfish back to Suisei in Minecraft for top quality Suiscreams.
Thank you very much for the translation! Appreciated
the old lineage of Ken, protectors of the chaos rat den, long is our watch over these white land, but soo is our oath to protect the chaos rat
0:38 the reaction of Suisei when Marine mention Spider xd Suisei really don't like insect or related
rip OG ken, he might have passes but his spirit lives on
Random fact from a zoologist in training: apparently the term "daddy long legs" doesn't refer to one species and actually varies depending on where you are in the world.
The actual spiders are venomous but not dangerous to humans.
Remember that time Suisei was playing Resident Evil 7 and let out the most scared shriek after opening the pot? lol.
Spider is the very least thing to worry about when you're in the australia
He's Kenough
Ken, Ken, he's the very best
He will put every anime waifu up to the test
I had a spider living in my radiator at one point. I took a peek now and then and there were some small insects caught in its web. Little pest control officer.
Then one winter morning, I saw the spider had fallen out of the radiator. Dried up, legs curled together. Dead.
And I was sad.
Daddy long legs live a few hundred days to a couple years. It could still be the original Ken
1:53
Bae to the Daddy Long Legs: What are you doing here?
The Daddy long Legs named Ken: I drive.
Oh man, I remember Kanata and Suisei playing Minecraft when Silverfishes emerged from the ground and the latter was screaming her ass off.
Someone should send Suisei a Bionicle Visorak.
Did Bae refer to big cockroaches dekai G? My yugioh brain got activated.
This kind of interaction is great.
Leave it to the Aussie Rrrrrrrat to befreind a spider.
Wonder if anyone ever told Bae that some of the really large ones eat mice and rats.
I know it's not Spider bro, but im calling it Spider bro now.
This has a “talking to your mom’s friends” type energy
Ken decendant come visit bae to greet their great great grandfather friend, that so wholesome
The original Ken was probably killed by Kronii lol
Suddenly this becomes a Barbie reference out of nowhere 😂
I mean, he is just Ken after all...
Ken transcends being a tangible, single being, it’s more of a concept than anything.
The contrast between Marine and Suisei, enlight both of them
"Stray cats? Nah mate, we got em stray spiders. Kids love keeping them as pets."
-Australians probably
The aussie version of Barbie is very different.
