Lived in Colorado my entire life. Yeah the Denver City/County Building. so basically a town hall? It is gorgeous, I'm so glad you love it. They light it up every Christmas along with a parade in Denver. In Colorado, the long standing tradition is that after the last day of the National Western Stock Show, people take down Christmas lights and Christmas trees. The lights are always installed but they turn them off after the last day of the stock show.
Heidi WebbThank you for liking our lights! My husband Nate and I own Blazen Illuminations out of Loveland Colorado. We are the caretakers of the holiday lighting on the Denver City and County Building. Our team will be excited to know how much you live our work. You can find out more about us on our Facebook Page. It's an honor to bring joy to thousands each year!
Yep. Denver City/County building. They showed in on Monday Night Football and incorrectly called it the state capitol building. It is crazy. I wish wasn't so pastel though. And welcome to Colorado!! I wish we could hang out!
We have a light show in sydney harbour, Australia which is very similar except it's on lots of buildings. In sydney they have a heap of hidden projectors and they decorate the buildings.
It's for the Parade of lights. Go back tonight or tomorrow night and you'll see a lot more like it. It's a fairly long tradition, although I love the new sparkle things haven't seen that before. Welcome to Colorado!
they have been doing that for a long time i remember seeing it lit up like that as a kid although not "sparkling" that was 15+ years ago i've since left the state but do still miss it
As others have said, it's the City/County building. Stick around a bit and you can see the night lights parade that runs right in front of that building. Not sure what day it is this year.
we use same principles in our projection mapping projects...we use hi end projectors and in this case it looks like RGB lights...a lot of money went in to this...
oh man. wish we knew that you were in town! crazy fact about that building and the capitol. they are connected with underground tunnels. along with the hospital. the governor can go between buildings!
come to Australia during the VIVID festival. its like this but with animations. all of it takes the dimensions and features of the buildings into account.
Hey, one of my favorite youtubers is in town! I'll buy you a beer, if you want. We have several breweries scattered around the place, and the Great American Beer Festival each summer too!
so, then, lining up the Council Lights to Flag Poles and Capitols: WHAT NEXT? proving that knowledge of stars and 18.6 year lunar cycles and the start of the seasons is a good reason to BUILD WITH STONE?
+mogster3 Just because it doesn't match your tastes doesn't mean it's of "tacky or lowbrow quality or condition". We like to have fun in Denver. Also we like weird art. See the blue bear or the demon bronco. We have fun!

half of what makes this video interesting is what he is going to show, and the other half is how excited he is to show it.

Not sure one's county court should look like a Vegas casino

Go to Salt Lake and look at the Mormon Temple. I'm not a mormon by any means, but that is one beautiful Christmas display.

I don't know if you're a person or a computer, but you should try writing song lyrics. Very nice spacey vibe going on here.
It's the circus, it's finally in town. Really how can they do something that kitschy on a public building?
