    Hey dude, I caught your channel through a baritone guitar review search. Not only did you get a new subscriber, but while viewing your other videos I ended up ordering some new guitars. I haven't ordered the harley benton yet that you showed in this video, I did find a distributor on reverb. Question, have you ordered anything from reverb before? They are selling the baritone for $259 plus free shipping. They are out of Hartford Connecticut. I figure that would be less than getting it shipped overseas and would probably get it sooner. Any thoughts would be appreciated! Rock on brother!

      Man, I really appreciate comments like this. It certainly keeps me going! I have indeed ordered from Reverb before and it’s been great every time. However, all my Harley Bentons have come from Thomann directly. But I know Harley Benton opened their own store on Reverb to help with the shipping. The prices are more expensive to counter the free shipping, but I think it comes out close to the same. It’s about $90 to ship from Germany so add 100 do the Thomann price to see which is cheaper. Reverb is a secure site, so you can buy with confidence. What guitar did you wind up ordering ?

      @@thetattedbaldguy I haven't ordered the harley benton yet from reverb, but I probably will before the days end. I just Recieved my first leo jaymz today. I went with the single cut with the skull graphics. I also ordered my first westcreek, went with the revenge in that drab green. That one should be here Monday! I've never had a baritone and although the firefly is also nice, I like the look of the harley benton. And yes dude, keep doing what you're doing. I have a channel, and it's a lot of work sometimes, but it's all worth it!

      @@deadman1313666Awesone! I love my Leo Jaymz single cut! I have the one with the skill too. How’d yours come out in regards to QC? Firefly is sold out and I agree, Harley Benton looks cooler. I think you’ll really like it. Also, I just subbed to your channel! 🤘🏻

    In the specs, do either or both guitars have stainless steel frets? Most of the newer Firefly guitars have, and that makes a substantial win for me because they are so comfortable to play on, and will never wear out.
    Let's see that video with the strings changed too, because I HATED the feeling of my strings that came with both Firefly guitars that I bought, and noticed a GREAT substantial change in tone when I changed them, and that wasn't even changing the guage. Their stock strings are horrible, lol. That's saying something, because I have 2 year old Glarry guitars that I STILL haven't changed strings on yet. Lol 😂

    • @thetattedbaldguy
      @thetattedbaldguy  11 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, both guitars have stainless steel frets. Hopefully they don’t decide to change that feature like they did with so many other things. The string change is definitely going to have a big tone impact. I’ll record that video soon. I have the $100 skull Glarry. It’s not bad at all, but you can tell Firefly is much better quality.

      @thetattedbaldguy oh DEFINITELY! I got into Glarry as my first budget, online purchase because of their cheap Telecasters! I ended up buying something like 8 from them between myself, my son, and my girlfriend (a bass, which was definitely decent for the price). My wine red semihollow Telecaster is still one of my favorites to noodle around on, it's so freaking light. Lol. They are definitely a mod guitar platform, where Firefly is just AWESOME (for the most part... if not for the yucky strings. Lol)

    Just looked, and the new FFJA VI Baritone DOES have stainless steel frets, and so does the FFTL Baritone. That would be another great tone shoot out! Which Firefly Baritone sounds better??? I don't like the jazz master look myself, also the new FFTL Baritone has a new pickup configuration: HSS. I believe that the previous ones were HH, correct?

    • @thetattedbaldguy
      @thetattedbaldguy  11 месяцев назад +1

      Firefly is up to shenanigans. I noticed the new FFTL Baritone does not have locking tuners, but mine does. That is a great idea for a shootout though, so I’m going to give that a try! I also don’t like how they switched the puck guard from black to burgundy. As you noticed, the pickup configuration is indeed different. Makes me crazy, cause if someone watches my review, then buys one, they’re going to be annoyed with me.

      @eclipsetheraindanbutler2478 11 месяцев назад

      @thetattedbaldguy if they pay attention to details, and know that Firefly is always changing things, they can't get mad at you. I didn't notice the tuners though! Good catch! I do like them staying at the $169 price though. I tried to buy one of the LPS (the red bat style) about a week ago, but they lost that sale because the system kept looping on me. I really wanted an LP with stainless frets too....
      Instead, I found a used SG style Washburn with combined with a particular amp I like for sale locally for less than the FFLP.
      I'll be making a video on it soon, because I'm making a slight mod, and there's a bit of a story to it. 😎

    30" is not a baritone bro its a Bass VI more than 28" scale we call bass VI cause its closer to a bass than a guitar

    • @thetattedbaldguy
      @thetattedbaldguy  9 месяцев назад

      Is there an official rule book on this? Regardless of what you may call it, I’m calling it what the companies call it. So when someone goes to the website and sees a baritone they know it’s the right guitar from my video. No sense in calling it a bass VI and sending people looking for something labeled as something else 🤘🏻
