    Bhai ye projects jo aapne banaya hai ye do tarik se kaam karta hai .........ek to yah LED CHESSER ke. rup me kaam karta hai ......dusra yah kaam karta hai AC CURRENT SENSING CIRCUIT ke rup me ........mene bhi bahi yahi circuit banaya tha pahle ye esi traha ka to me khud confuse tha yar ye kaam kese kar rha hai ..........to bhai mene iska name rakha hai AC CURRENT SENSING CIRCUIT........... THANK YOU BHAI......AAP ne bhi yhi bnaya hai to thik hai......

    I've used 4017 in all m y projects when I was 14, in the 80s. It was easy for me to learn how a CPU works, because I've made a rudimentary program counter with 4017. Combining two, I was able to build a rudimentary "for loop", and so on. Oh, the memories. Thank you!.

    *Pin 14 se ek high resistance 10k se 100k ke bich lagao vcc ya ground ke sath connect kr do. To wo pull up ya pull down ban jayegi aur noise nhi rahegi. Yeh ic CMOS hai isliye itna sensitive hai.*

    cd 4017 its CMOS IC and input pin is too much sensitive , its catch any magnetic field or any other activity .
    its not a mistake.

    you are using the insulation copper cable that's creating magnetic field, that's the problem

    Pin 14 is a clock pin so connect it to earth( ground)

    Bro 14 number pin of cd4017 is the clock impulse pin for creating a chaser the out pin of 555 timer ie the 3 number pin of 555 timer to the clock impulse pin of cd4017 and the led chaser will work perfectly because based on the impulse of the 555 timer output the led chaser will work

    Looking so the load on the ic is heavy.give all led a resistor and try again .also chaser must have a programmable input for speed

    Bhai sabhi LED pe alag resistance lagao ....series me.resistance ka kaam h overcurrunt protection.or ye sabhi ic like IC 555 which is most sensitive ik if you switch on any device on your home it affect its comparator voltage or circuit starts working automatically.

    Dear ic working normal. But input sensing AC noise. You can control noise by adding 1M resistor at input to ground.

    Vai.. This 4017 ic.. Is very sensitive with AC signals.. While you connect copper wire with LED legs is work as a antenna, thus it catch ac signals so that's why it suddenly turned on, you have to clip Ac from the ckt,,..

    Aeisa hota hai 4017 ke sath. Agar hum 13 number pin ko 1k ragistence ke sath jor kar ground se jor de to uska control sahi ho jata hai

    This is the problem

    10:00 remove led from 555 (which should be connected in up side down ) and connect pin 3 of 555 to ic with 1k resistor this will solve your prob.
    Because
    While connecting the led in that way your ic always gets positive voltage instead of getting square wave signal because your when 555 gives positive out then the ic try to take it as signal but when 555 output gets 0 at that time the led act as diode and the positive voltage from pin 4 of the 555 gets in the ic so ic never gets any signal

    why did you connect capacitor 2.2 microfarad to pin 1 and pin2 of 555ic and why did you connect two resister 330ohm between pin no 7&8 and 56k between pin no 6&7. please explain.
