I’m a Jew...my grandparents were Russian Jewish immigrants and they spoke Yiddish. She’s so offensive especially with the nose comment. This one was hard to watch.
They have birthing centers attached to some hospitals, where you get a big room/suite, with a bed and other seating for family/partners/friends, with a huge bathroom that includes a great big tub/jacuzzi/idk what else to call it. You can listen to music, hang out with family and friends, walk around, sit in the tub, eat, etc. You can have your midwife, or you can have a doctor if you have one, and you can have nurses from the hospital. It’s supposed to give that home feel, and you can have your water birth, while still having the doctors and nurses right next door in case you want pain meds, want medical intervention (for example, if labor stops progressing), or if there were to be any medical emergency and a c-section was necessary to save mother and baby. It’s the best of both worlds IMO.

You can listen to music, hang out with family and friends, walk around, sit in the tub, eat, etc. You can have your midwife, or you can have a doctor if you have one, and you can have nurses from the hospital. It’s supposed to give that home feel, and you can have your water birth, while still having the doctors and nurses right next door in case you want pain meds, want medical intervention (for example, if labor stops progressing), or if there were to be any medical emergency and a c-section was necessary to save mother and baby. It’s the best of both worlds IMO.
