Dude, we are getting pounded in every position possible, what else would you expect? I am also so sick of it! All the lies and the corruption, the humiliation, it makes me wanna throw up.
I respect your wisdom and authenticity brother. I'm 60 with a young 21 year-old son. We lost his mum last year suddenly to cancer. It's heartening to hear the struggles and journey of other men. Valuable stuff indeed. None of us are alone.. we're brothers.
There is such a lift from your message. A common suffering amongst men. To know we are not alone in this lost world is a beautiful thing. Thanks brother.........just know your words are greatly appreciated !
Good people always struggle in life. It doesn't matter if it's a man or a woman, not all women are toxic and not all men are good. The problem is that most of the time good people give up for good because modern friendship counts in money and profit. But in the end two things are certain in life, whoever you are you come into life alone and you will leave alone no matter what you've become . Until then, every man must fight, because nothing comes for free in life.
Ill never give up personally but as for trying to find a partner, no thanks, spent a large chunk of my adult life building homes for them only for women to fancy something different and just walk away, they are like children, no accountability, single life for me.
Yep , im almost there. I work 15 hours a day , pay more in taxes than I take home .. I basically work for nothing . Just to keep my company running . It’s not worth it anymore .
A lot of men have had their confidence crumbled and sometimes never fully recover. It doesn't help that the world has become more anti social than before. You met a lot more people in the past because life was just more vibrant and therefore men had more options in relationships. You gotta keep your head high, implement healthy habits, and actually be proud of the person you see in the mirror. As a child/teenager you can have confidence naturally, but as an adult, you have to earn your confidence.
Giving up on plan A maybe, or putting it on the back burner till things might change but a smart man has many contingencies. Isn't it said that in terms of career, there's an average of 5-7 change ups before the right career become realized. I'm not courting or looking for the foreseeable future while above the acceptable level of instability in my perspective. It's survival mode in the mean time.
You can be " successful" at any age. Doing something you enjoy is the secret. Doesn't mean it won't be hard, but successful is what you feel in yourself. Working for myself for 25 years was the best ' job 'of my life and the BEST employer! Do not give up, either on work or finding love. Failure simply teaches you WHAT NOT TO DO!
Does anyone in here know what happens when you just leave (i.e., leave the United States)? I don’t mean get a divorce and then leave. I mean leave, period. No setup. Cell phone tossed. Mortgage, marriage, job, dependent adult children - everything left behind abruptly and without notice or explanation.
You have talents to speech, this speech were good in a presidential election campaign as well. 😊 Give up or don't give up, this is the question. Poor Hamlet. 😊 Yes, the official answer is don't give up. Giving up has different forms. Suicide, alcoholism, or only accept our situation in life without doing anything. Arthur Miller's drama is about it (The Death of the Salesman).
I do not know. Middle eastern men in my country work and build families. Society also welcome them. All this "men give up" relates to some native westerners including myself. I do not know if it is as big of a problem as we say it is. I have problems but do men in general really have the same problem? / Sweden

Sometimes giving up on something awful IS required to move on. But we must remember to keep going BUT in a DIFFERENT way.

Being the easier option, doesn't at all mean it is the wrong option.
