WOW! I am so grateful to you both for sharing the sacred beauty of the Northern Barrens! What a wonderful trip - felt like I was with you all the way...thanks!
Canadian here. Trying to express what your arctic explorations have done for me. I never gave a thought about what the north looked like. In my mind it was a white frozen area. But, thanks to you, I am now deeply awed with the beautify of a untouched wilderness. And the variety of landscapes. I now want to do whatever I can to protect this treasure. It must feel like such a sacred space. I’m having a hard time explaining. Thank you so much for showing this part of our country to us.
Thank you Jim and Ted for this wonderfully filmed and documented adventure. Watched every episode and I'm also without a word to describe what I've seen.
This series raised the bar for you Jim. The content and the editing made this one of my favorites of all time. The fact that you did this with your brother makes it even more special .
Jim ! this Hood River canoe trip was epic. Those overview comments and thoughts , respect when talking about the fish and the land where very few people get to experience brought me to tears of joy. Once you experience northern canoe trips your hooked line hook and sinker. Back in 1985 I was 26 years old when seven of us from camp Kandalore paddle the Kazan river. Great memories. We started from Casba Lake finished at Baker Lake 31 days later and travel 860 km. I felt such at home in this place. Jim thank you for taking us along you are very fortunate to have a brother and sharing this time together. 👏
Jim once again you and your brother have produced an epic series based on an epic trip❤️. I appreciate all of your videos and thanks for inviting those of us who are no longer able to get out there ourselves❤️❤️
Well that's a wrap, wish I had better words to express to you how large this trip is for me just watching. For you it must be gigantic. Thanks for the invite along with, much appreciated.
The sacred wilderness! I love the reverence you have when you talk about the arctic, it's fueling my own arctic fascination! Can't wait to see these landscapes, not to mention the wildlife, with my own eyes.
@ My Glasgow Born (1917) Grandfather, who was also quite an adventurous guy and Fly/Trout Fisherman came to mind as I was waiting for You to Sing Loch Lomond on The Bonnie Bonnie Banks of THE HOOD RIVER! ✌🏻🏴
All I can say is WOW. What a magnificent series. Thanks for bringing us along. I never wanted any of these videos to end. You really deserve to be on primetime tv every week. It would be the best outdoor show ever. Once again, thanks for entertaining us over the years for doing what a lot of us would love to do, but can't. Have a great holiday season.....
What an amazing journey. Thanks for sharing the sacred beauty of our country. The untouched wilderness of the Yukon truly has no words to accurately describe it.
It is sad that this series ended, but I will look forward to the next. This is got to be an awesome experience and for all of us to come along does not describe the awe of it all. Blessings
I enjoyed every second of watching this series. Barren Lands? Maybe, but they aren't barren of beauty. The canyons and waterfalls. The caribou. All of it so beautiful. Thanks for taking us along😊
Thank you, Jim and Ted, for showing us the peace and beauty of every peak, valley, river, stream, and lake. You have taught me so much about the wonders of nature.
I'm so glad you and Ted hiked to the Arctic Ocean's edge. It made it much more complete for all of us! A great series. Amazing weather, and then a taste of what it could have been like for the last day or two.
Another successful journey where 99% of us will never get to see in person -- thanks for such beautiful videos. And now its time to watch Ted's version of the same trip to get his perspective in a different canoe...thanks from New Hampshire, USA
Wow ! you two are amazing Jim , love your content and how you showcase our beautiful country . And your humor is priceless . God bless you both , and thanks Jim .
Yes do it again thanks for these episode's of 20days Jim and Ted keep on keeping on as along as you can that's the way to do it I did I still do short day averages hiking 4 wheeling in truck have to keep going out and doing you guys be safe thanks 🤠🇬🇧🇨🇦🇺🇸✌️🚙🏞️🚣🏕️🌮☕🙋💙💙💙
Phenomenal, incredible, spectacular not enough words to describe this epic adventure! Thank you for sharing your trip with us, glad you are safe and sound. Beautifully filmed and documented- bravo Baired brothers!!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
One of your BEST series; hard to find words to describe the epic nature of this trip. Some of the drone shots in this episode really drive home the name Barrenlands.
Other than the humbling beauty, the thing I take from this series is the ongoing camaraderie shared by you and Ted. Familial relationships are sketchy at best. Yet you two have persevered through the pitfalls to serve as an inspiring example of enduring friendship. Hats off to Ted, who's dry humor makes me laugh, who is a damn good fisherman, and a hell of a canoeist. Thank you both for taking us along.
I absolutely love watching you two brothers work together and make awesome memories. My brother and I try to this often with my son, we have an absolute blast nothing like the outdoors and family. Thanks for another one Baird brothers!!
As an older backpacker I couldn’t do the trips we do without trekking poles. They are a must! Great trip boys! As always thanks for taking us along for the float!
Spent many an Alaskan day huddled in my tent waiting for the float plane to make it in. Back in the day with no comm. Great job brothers always love watching your adventures.
What a great adventure! Your description of how you felt about the trip and all the beauty and majesty was beautiful. The landscape was so wild and natural, how can it be put into words. It was unnerving to see your float plane circle around and then appear to be leaving. What a sinking feeling that must've been. But you made it back safely and with fantastic memories. Thanks so much for taking us along.
