Deron William's pull-up jumpers, crossovers, drives, fade aways, floaters, step backs...

Man I remember when the conversation about the top 3 PGs in the league was about Steve Nash, Chris Paul and Deron Williams. Injuries ruined this guy.
More like being fat made him injure himself
I questioned his work ethic after he left Utah
@@whitejosh444 how could u question his work ethic when his hard work got his to the league talet only gets u so far.....with the game changing with faster stronger gaurds and with him being injured cause him to fall off dont forget he was on the Cleveland team that lost to g state in the finals and dwill had a opportunity to show he still belongs in this league he missed his shot
Thats what happens when you disrespect jerry Sloane and leaving the jazz hanging he wasn't shit after that stunt he pulled . He was a star in utah second string after leaving
Still had a good career cuz people actually remember him when talking eras
People forget about Deron Williams he was a beast
This man birthed a lot of clutch skilled PGs
My mans double crossover was lethal 🔥
Playground like
Luka and Lonzo play so much like him.
Liteskins superiority 💪🏼💪🏼
Deron's crossover is the best in creating space..
1:19 that move is so clean holy shit
There are shades of this guy in Fred VanVleet
He was hell
His crossovers are simple yet very effective
This is so underrated. One of the best point guards from 2000s.
He should've stayed in Utah but he started making waves and they traded him. He got paid with the NETS but he was never the same. He use to be the best point guard in the NBA but he was in Utah so no one payed any attention but since he left that team nobody ever even mentions him.
He's not that great of a player if a team change was the reason he didn't play the same. People like KD and lebron don't have that problem
This team had a lot of talent and they all went to different teams and props to the great *Jerry Sloan*
D Will CP3 Nash Tony Parker.. list goes on we've seen some amazing point guards
It's like James Harden and Tony Parker. Big, shifty, loved to pull up after creating space, and could finish around the rim in any way.
People Forget how tight this mans handle was! such a clean game
D Will was that dude in Utah, I remember trying to emulate his crossovers
Hard to stop a killer cross-over and finish it with a fadeaway jumper.
In his prime, this man was a goddamn PROBLEM. I don't care what anyone says
His crossover is so simple yet so effective
WHAT A HESI MAN...BEAUTIFUL CROSSOVER
That’s crossover is MEAN!!!!
At one time he was the best pg in the game
I wish Dwill would have stayed in Utah, The team had already built around him and with the retirement of head coach J Sloan didn't help either.
My childhood equivalent to the Stockton to Malone days where the Williams to Boozer days, Best pick and roll duo of the late 2000's era.
Nah Nash and stoudemire were
Not good enough to beat my Lakers 🤪
his finising and handles r crazy
In his prime, this dude’s float dribble and crossover were impossible to deal with.
Fav point guard all time
Bro i remember when the Cavs got him i really thought he was gonna be healthy, miss seeing him play
Who Else Came Here Because He's Comin To The Land!!! #CavsNation Baby 👌
ASIA Jackson i did. welcome to the land
i
lets go man! i cant wait til JR Smith is back i miss him
bout that...
Lmao
who’s here today to see if rob dribbles like him😂
Craziest part is that he really does
His play style is definitely similar 😂🔥
Man dude was nasty i somehow forgot how smooth his game looked that hezi is a lethal weapon
One of the nastiest crossovers ever
My favorite team, to watch
Dwill was sick until he went to the nets
Who's here after he signed with the cavs?
Damn I can’t believe deron is not playing in today’s nba? Today’s game fits him perfectly
He got lazy
Jazz need to get him back on the sQuad we need someone to run the team right. D-will to D-Mich and u got to love baby!
Lol
It’s crazy how much the PG position has changed so quickly over the past few years.
Yrah different stars again but nostalgic guards in 2000 2010 are the best
He was really strong, probably the strongest point guard besides magic Johnson
Jrue Holiday, Baron Davis, Marcus Smart, Jason Kidd, Terry Porter.
Underrated on everybody's all time lists. He had top 10 (PGs) all time talent, just didn't have the accolades that went with it.
On his way to the cavs!
Rotmg Yay HAHAHA
Greatest crossover in history
If anyone likes Deron Williams, then you'll like Jamal Murray. Watch that kid play and there are shades of D Will in his game 💯
Murray is better at scoring but his handles and passing are behind DWill
@@nickhall7995 Jalen Suggs looks like he could be the next D Will
Completely agree. Jamal is even more athletic and efficient but not as strong which hurts him defensively. I'd say Jamal is already a better scorer but D Will was a much better facilitator even at the same age. Part of that might be that Jamal doesn't have to pass as much playing with the best big passer ever but Deron clearly has him in playmaking still.
@@classicslayer456 What are you smoking and can I get a hit? Suggs is overseas bound in give or take 3 years.
@@bdww4072 he won't be if bums like mo bamba are still in the nba
So long friend; all good things come to an end.Awesome!
His movement was like Steve mash and tony Parker combined, explosive and controlled
he's getting there again! ;)
D Wills handles are underrated
What are you talking about?
He's #8 on my top #5
He was the top point in the league at that time. CP3 was in the argument as well.
Goat 🐐
He cook the Lakers defense every time 😂
number 3 for my favorite point guards
You know you are good when you make your opponents defense move at once
really used to be him vs CP3 until Rose won MVP fr
Deron + Brewer + AK47 + Boozer + Okur + Harpring= good old time!
his crossover was a laser-sharp combo of ai and tim hardaway
could you make career highlights for John Stockton, Gary Payton, Jason Kidd, Steve Nash, Penny Hardaway, Isaiah Thomas, Tim Hardaway, Nick Van Exel, Jason Williams, Kenny Anderson, John Starks, and Magic Johnson?
he is good at real game,no flower
Crazy how he makes Westbrook look small here 1:00
2:35 “PU!-“
ISO GOD
Deron Williams was the definition of nasty
Who all here from All the Smoke...welcome lmao
I'm doing his fence in dallas okay isee u Williams tomorrow I'ma need that autograph
Strong version of SC30
In this era CP3 is his rival
Jake Paul PPV took me here 😂
mf was in team usa, hes gotta be good
Bruh dwill was nice . His crossver was a killer. Cp3 could not move like that
Nobody could stay in front of this guy 😂
Anyone notice how many times he cooked Derek Fisher in these highlights?
i wish he used the stepback more... he wouldve been more unguardable
here because of cavs!!
Darren Williams the first darskin light skin player lol
I got a secret to tell. D will is still better than cp3 est 2005!
Looks like he only played against the Lakers
Remember when they used to say this guy was better then Chris Paul? Boy how that steamy pile of sht narrative has aged.
1:31 Varejão should has given up the defense...
Come to Cleveland we need a point guard :D
he won't start, somebody better in front of him
Vintage Kyrie Smirving 11' Oh snap
He had a good cross over pull up but other than that nothing spectacular.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Nobody:
Boozer: and 1 his azz lmao
Lol this just a video on how to drive to the right after a single jab step left 🤣🤣
everything is so wet
The guy always does the same.
Andnunber17 is my cousin
Before curry was Curry
he needs to stop be injured
nope mormone
Like wtf happened, smh
For real! He was ass in the finals!
I bet no one is here in 2024
I always look my guys up at least twice a year
Pay up
it's just painful to watch him in this form ... when i think about his performance in the finals this year #IfOnlyTimeCanGoBack
@ScreensRB
I miss dwill
Omg he left Kobe dead
Woah bro! Too soon (I know you wrote this before but still funny)
Prime Utah D-Will and even New Jersey D-Will was unstoppable one of the best all around PG's ever before injuries, had size, speed, handle, range vision, he could do it all
+Carlos Villalvazo He's trash the best all around PG's ever were isash Thomas, Pre injured D-rose,Johnson, and so many more Williams wouldn't even have been top 30😂
Michael Napoli Williams in Utah put up multiple seasons of 20 (or close to 20) point and10 (or close to 10) Assist per game...those stats are better than Rose MVP season, people just seem to forget how great he was
How many times has Derrick rose averaged a double double because Williams did it 4 nearly 6 times. He used to shit on Derrick rose every time they faced off when they were both healthy. And Derrick rose can't shoot worth a shit.
+david lewis How many times did Williams get 2,000 points 800 assists and 600 rebounds in a season with A mvp and playoff win with a shitty ass team oh wait none
Michael Napoli D-Will took the Jazz to the West finals sit down
he needs to stop be injured
@ScreensRB
Imagine
D.will
D.mitchell
G.hayward
D.favors
R.Gobert
As a starting lineup
This lineup would be terrible if playing in the modern era.
- D.Will was not a great shooter (he barely had 3000 3's attempted in his whole career, D.Mitch is already at half that at 3 years in, with a better %).
- Gordon Hayward was really good during his Jazz days, but has fallen off quite a bit.
- Rudy Gobert hasn't made a single 3 point shot in his career yet.
There's not a single player in this lineup that approaches 40% from 3 quite yet. Their defense is mediocre to slightly better than mediocre at best (except Gobert). I mean their average FT% is like 75% FFS. Not a single player who shoots better than 83% from FT line.
This is like the definition of average lineup in the NBA.
@@theparkimlot5152 tf are you talking about? Deron Williams are better than the stats say. And Derrick Favors and Rudy Gobert aren't supposed to shoot threes. This lineup would be amazing cause of the versatility. And plus we are talking about Utah Hayward, not Boston Hayward. They may not dominate you with the three, but their defense will be top 5 no doubt.
Deron Williams is not a bad three point shooter at all. On Utah he shot over 37% 3 times and over 39% twice. Not to mention he held the record for 3s in a half with 9 before Chandler Parsons broke it. He was the best player on a team who consistently took on the Lakers in the playoffs and even made the conference finals in '07. He commanded a top 10 offense in the league consistently.
When everybody thought the Jazz were going to fall into Mediocrity after Hayward left, Mitchell prevented that. Although he's not the best shooter or finisher, he lead his team to the playoffs consistently by being the biggest offensive threat on the team. Not to mention he's a top 10 defensive guard and is shooting 86% from the line. So far Deron and Mitchell would make a great combo. Both athletic and incredibly talented. Deron would command the offense and Mitchell would be a great two-way player.
The Utah Jazz and Gordon Hayward surprised everybody in 2017 by winning 50 games and Hayward becoming a bona-fide star. Offensively, he could do it all. Score, rebound pass, but on the defensive side he wasn't as good. Despite being deficient on defense, the Jazz still posted the bets defense in the NBA. Now you add an amazing shooter and overall offensive player to an already extremely talented offensive team and you'll get some magic. Hayward is gonna play a lot of off-ball, but he's shown he can both score with or without the ball.
Derrick Favors is a guy who can score in the post and as a pick-and-roll man and also can anchor the paint really well and move decently quick laterally. He's efficient on both sides of the floor, and is just a great consistent guy on defense. Combine his two-way skillset with Williams, Mitchell, and Hayward, and you have already a very good defensive team, as three of those 4 guys have been significant contributors to top 2 defensive teams
@@theparkimlot5152 finally Gobert. The man who has anchored a top 5 defense since the Atlanta Hawks won 60 games. This dude won't give you much offensively. But his defense is insane and he is a consistent Lob threat. Not to mention he's a very good perimeter defender too, and he has experience with three of the other 4 guys on the team. A team of Williams, Mitchell, Hayward, Favors, and Gobert would automatically be a top 3 defense. Not to mention with Deron Williams, Hayward, and Mitchell, you have a guy who controlled top ten offenses and two other guys who are absolute offensive threats as well. I honestly do not see how you think they are average. Sure spacing isn't the best, but why would they need spacing when three guys on offense are already excellent shooters? Maybe Mitchell isn't but his volume shooting will certainly get you buckets. And Gobert and Favors' offensive rebounding will be sure to make up for the mistakes of those three other Guys. Free throw shooting will definitely be the biggest issue, but three of those 5 guys shoot above 80%, with Mitchell peaking at 86%, Gordon at 85%, and Williams at 85% too on Utah. Scoring woll be no issue either, as everybody on this team are extremely efficient scorers, except Mitchell. Honestly, they're easily a top 10 offense and top 5 defense. And they are not average. An average team is the 2019 Orlando Magic. And average team is the Wall-lead Wizards. This is an exceptionally talented team right here.
@@ch.illmatic well said
I guess
D Will was the man prime time. Dude had the strongest offensive arsenal in the league. Passing, Shooting and Dribbling were just absolutely elite.
I don't know about all that
People forget he was the #1 PG at some point in his career. Deadliest hesi ever seen imo.
