Hanni 2004 vietnamese, but born and raised in Australia (She came to Korea to become an idol. Her native language is English, she learned Korean while she was a trainee)
Danielle 2005 korean-australian (her mother is korean, father - australian)

6:35 comeback - a k-pop group coming back with new music. It's the equivalent of saying a group is releasing a new album, but instead k-pop fans say that a group is having a comeback.
7:03 they live together, most often members of the same group live together
(why do kpop idols live together?) it makes it easier to manage and protect the idols. It's hard to meet all the schedule requirements if everyone lives separately, and it takes a long time to bring all the members together. It also makes it easier to manage the privacy and safety of idols.

Bunnies Camp is the first fan meeting by NewJeans. It was held on July 1 and 2, 2023 at SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium and online via Weverse Concert.
35:21 I'm bunny from Newjeans pre-debut x) I've been into K-pop since 2018, so I always keep an eye on the debuts of new groups. And so NJ gradually became my favorite group (my ult group)
In my opinion, the girls are talented and hardworking from the very beginning, but over time they became more confident and became professional idols.

hii ! so i'll try to explain some things about them, sorry for any mistakes, i'm using a translator 😭😭
here are the ages of the girls:
minji - 19 (2004/05/07)
hanni - 19 (2004/10/06)
danielle - 18 (2005/04/11)
haerin - 17 (2006/05/15)
hyein - 15 (2008/04/21)
minji has lived in canada for studies so she can speak english.
hanni is vietnamese australian.
danielle is korean australian.
minji, haerin, and hyein are korean.
haerin and hyein are heavily influenced by the girls in english, especially hyein :)
comeback: it's when a group returns after a few months with a new album or single, newjeans' last comeback was in july with the second ep "get up," and they promote this album on variety shows, etc. we don't have news yet on when they'll make a comeback again, but i hope it's soon.
bunnies camp was their first fan meeting, it was an event with fans to celebrate one year of the group, this was in june and they celebrated one year in july.
in august, they went to lollapalooza in chicago and performed all their songs, and it was amazing with the whole audience singing along.

making jeans: behind the scenes of mvs, choreography, and music recording.
jeans zine: it's basically a variety show where they do various things and where you can also get to know a little more about their personalities.
new zips: it's like jeans zine, it's a short series of seven episodes, and this is my favorite, you can really see how they are.
light jeans: behind the scenes of magazine shoots, commercials, music shows, etc.
about jeans: here are the vlogs, most are individual vlogs, recently more vlogs have been released of them enjoying their free time.
by jeans: covers of songs by the girls, we have a total of five so far, one from each.

i 1000000% recommend you check out their lollapalooza performance posted on their channel. it’s like 40 minutes long and it was their 1st time performing in the US and they absolutely killed it. it’s just chef’s kiss

I got into thier music this past year. I wasn't a Kpop listener but thier Music (Especially their style of music & production) is right up my alley. That late 90s/ early 2000s R&B / chill vibes they incorporate in their music is Nostalgic and infectious.

NewJeans is literally my fav group ever alongside Little Mix and Red Velvet. I love everything about them, their songs, their concept, their choreo, their pretty voices, their performances, their mvs and ofc the members and their funny personalities. They're so talented!
T-ara are my all time faves but newjeans go me back into kpop after i stopped listening cos i hated the general aggressive loud bitchy sound of this and last gen... so newjeans have become my current fave.. but t-ara will always by my first :P

Man I apologize for all my comments…but there’s a lot to explain 😭 a “comeback” is the term in kpop for your next song/album! So we say “they’re having a comeback” whenever they’re gonna release new music! I’ll add anything into this comment as I watch for more context to certain things lol
Next up!! Bunnies Camp was their own kind of concert! It wasn’t technically a concert but close to one :) it was in Korea. They loved it so much as it was their first event spent with their OWN fans only!

Also, for your first question, oldest member, Minji, yes that’s how you pronounce her name! She’s 19 right now and was born in 2004! Next, is the second oldest, Hanni, her name is Han, (like from Frozen) knee! Han-knee 😭 she was born in 2004 as well as her birthday passed after that video in October, so she’s 19 as well!
Next is the third oldest, Danielle. Her name is easy lol, so I’ll skip that! She’s 18 at the moment and was born in 2005!
Next is Haerin, the way you pronounce her name is Hey-rin or if you want to with an accent, just roll the “R” lol. She was born in 2006 and is 17!
And then Hyein! It’s pronounced Hey-in! She is the most surprising in terms of age. She was born in 2008 and is 15 😭 that’s everyone’s name current age without any of their birthdays passing this year!

so excited you're dipping your foot into kpop, some of my favorite girl groups or groups you might be interested in:
1) dreamcatcher (rock and metal elements laced in their music, personal favorite definitely recommend)
2) kiss of life!! (they have a more western sound, quite a new group but will definitely be big in a few years)
3) G-idle (they always make sure to talk about world issues through their songs and have quite a unique sound)

I’m so excited for the rest of your NewJeans journey. All of their songs are bops and I feel like they grow on you over time. When it comes to Kpop, I feel like it’s so popular because there is a group that fits every person’s style. I’d love to see a video for Red Velvet if you get the chance❤️

Busking is when a musician performs in the public for free or tips. You'll see it more often in larger cities/metropolitan areas like NYC where a random singer or like Saxophonist will be performing for change. Most do it to help get their music out. For New Jeans, it would be more as like a random fanservice act.
They live altogether in a luxurious dorm with each one of them having solo big rooms. So basically they're just together 24/7 unless they're on breaks or vacation. They practice together, live and eat together. All kpop group are like this esp the new ones. But for those old or big groups, each members usually buy their own condos or apartment or go back to their homes
Also you are so on point with Danielle! 😂 she's like a ball of sunshine. she always talks about random things and she loves giving names to non-living things. She's very sweet and she's just always so happy. Such a charming and cute person❤
they've trained together for 1-3 yrs before they debuted. each one of them entered their company in different times. minji trained the longest among them.

not sure if anyone else already said this but the reason they keep mentioning apples is because they have a strict diet, unfortunately it’s part of kpop culture to have really thin bodies since it’s seen as attractive. and same with the whole “i only have 20 minutes” thing, they have 20 minutes to get up before going to training/practice 💕
in kpop a comeback is just when a new album drops and that album is essentially the era and comeback
also bunnies camp was basically just a little fan-exclusive concert
busking is when people play an instrument and/or dance on the street (typically in large cities) and have a little box or hat for people walking passed to just drop some money into (to show support i guess), it isn’t exclusive to kpop at all, it’s VERY popular internationally
