  • The West End Eagles nest was unattended and Ravens took their opportunity to break two of the eggs and eat the chicks, and remove the other egg. Incredibly sad for Thunder and Akecheta. :-(

    To everyone who feels bad for the eagles. They will snatch up puppies and kittens and some species will try and yank toddlers up and eat them alive. Humans and the creatures we look after are pretty much the only things that die of old age in nature. Everything else does in extremely violent and very slow, painful ways

    • @Zero-Recollection
      @Zero-Recollection Год назад +1

      I don't find it hard to watch at all. Humans are way too disconnected from nature, this shouldn't particularly bother anyone, it's been happening for hundreds of millions of years to trillions of animals since.

    • @blackops9572

      Dumb ass take. Why shouldn’t it bother you? Should suffering not bother you because humans have suffered for millions of years? Do you not get bothered when in extreme pain? Just like these baby birds where likely experiencing.
      Being connected to nature doesn’t mean you need to be numb to it. You should except that bad things happen, but you shouldn’t completely lack any empathy. That just makes you psychopathic.

    I don’t understand why Chet left them unattended. He was doing so well this year. Hard lesson learned, but apparently not since the same thing happened last year. Hopefully both Thunder and Chet are ok. Maybe he had to leave the nest because Thunder is MIA and needed a break. Not saying she is gone just wondering if maybe that’s why he left them unattended. Sad.

    • @colorfulautumn9722
      @colorfulautumn9722 3 года назад +8

      It was a miscommunication. Chet saw Thunder flying around the nest and left. He may have thought Thunder would incubate the eggs but she didn't. Idk what's wrong with Thunder. She doesn't seem interested in the eggs. Poor Chet had been doing most of the incubating. He needed a break. He was on the eggs as late as 2am waiting for Thunder to get back a few days ago.

    Nature is so brutal. But imagine people who got a conscience will accept their own baby to be ripped apart with the same brutality.
    Those people are a lot worse not only because they’ve got a conscience and know exactly what happens to their baby but they are doing that to their own baby. The mother eagle or the father eagle would never do that to their own chicks.
    Will you take a second to think that how low we have fallen ? Lower than the animals
