I loved all the memes explaining how men couldn’t see when others were holding saidin…. And especially relating how they could only sense by proximity and you showed the wrestlers glaring at each other 🤣🤣🤣 also, another commenter said this, but I found it funny too that after taking about the wasting sickness and going mad, you end with the benefits of long life and resistance to illness 🤣
I love that WOT101 to introduce this great world to new fans, currently readers and soon watchers! :P They're just perfect to avoid spoilers while helping to understand and appreciate better the story as well as its background! Less than 3 months now to SEE it!!!
I always equate the sick feeling after using Sai’din to the taste of my gramp’s liquid fish oil. I tried that stuff once…the lovely oil slick flavor stuck in the back of my throat for hours. No thank you. Great video man! 🤘
Learning this about the way men channel, it makes me appreciate the ending they did on season 1 a bit more. While it wasn't the right person destroying the army, it was interesting that the woman who was channeling all the women together was not surrending. She was taking from the girls, remember? Not at first. At first they let her take the power, but then she forcefully took it. She was wielding the one power like a male channeler would and it seems to have burnt her right up and the people she was taking power from paid a price as well.
When I first read the books, I assumed the madness was imminent. As the series wore on, I realized there was no timetable and I thought I'd be elderly by the time Rand lost his mind.
Glad to hear your family and you are doing and feeling better. 😊 I love this series and I cannot wait to show these to the people in my life that will watch the show but haven't read the books. 😁👍🏽👍🏽
That's a spoiler I intentionally chose to leave out. This series is meant for new fans. Would you mind adding a spoiler warning to your comment or editing it? Thanks!
Actually in the books when woman channels a male channeler would sense it as a cold shiver down their back or at d back of their neck. It really annoyed the aes sedai of the white tower that men could sense them but they couldn't sense anything normally from men
You're right! I intentionally left this out as it's a spoiler from a later book and I'm trying to keep most of my show related videos safe for first time readers or viewers.
I'm currently reading Lord of Chaos. SPOILERS Thus far, the Aes Sedai say that men and women are what you say in the video( men stronger in fire and earth etc..). I think Moiraine says that men and women are equal regarding to the strength in the power. However, Asmondean and I think Moghedien who are people who have lived throughout the Age of Legends say that men are usually stronger and Asmondean I think even makes a direct comparison to physical strength. Most men are stronger physically than women but some women are outliers that are stronger than the average man. Likewise there are some men that are outliers amongst men and are even stronger (I guess like Rand?). Nynaeve, I think also called it "unfair" for men to be stronger in the power too. Now I am not saying that you said that Male and Female are equals but isn't it an omission not to mention than in general men are stronger in the power? Or maybe stuff is revealed later on that debunk what Asmodean and Moghedien said? I've also kinda seen the power chart of the forsaken and the weakest male is stronger than the strongest female which supports the Forsakens' opinion. Thanks in advance.
You're absolutely right! I cover these details in my other WoT 101 videos about the One Power and the Five Powers and in my deep dive video about the One Power.
@@UnravelingthePattern I see, thanks for answering. I've only watched the Saidar and Saidin videos but I can see that you put a lot of work into it! Keep up the good work!
I really enjoy these videos, but as a fan of the books I've never used or heard of anyone using the term 'sparkers' before. Am I just ignorant of what others use for the terminology of the books or is that phrase not as common as the video would suggest?
It's not a term from the books. That's why I mentioned that it's a term sometimes used by fans. I remember reading it a lot on the Internet over the years.
I know it's technically "the male half of the True Source" but this is WOT 101 people! Milk before meat!

Great content as per Lauren, would love to collaborate with you on a song. Your motion graphics skills never cease to amaze me
That bubbles cameo is my favorite part
Another benefit to Saidin is that dogs are friendlier to you.

I want to ask when are you gonna do a video talking about the asha’man?
Eventually, yes!
