Those unicorn dragon things are literally models stolen from Rescue Riders. How creatively bankrupt are these people to the point they have to borrow models from a show aimed at toddlers? Also congrats on 10k subscribers🎉

@@vanessamya1 Thats not an excuse tho. You can't just reuse assets from previous shows and call it a day. Thats lazy af. Rescue riders is not canon, and apparently Nine Realms is. So the creators basically said fuck it to making sense and in the process messed up both shows at once

Wait, they made a season 2? Oh wait it's not like i care that much. My hype dropped down a cliff after seeing the "For kid" HTTYD ... then my hope felt down a grave after seeing the 9 realms trailers.
So, somehow the Skrill has remained unchanged for all these years. I mean, I guess that’s possible given some real animals have done the same, and Skrills can freeze themselves for who knows how long and survive. Not sure about the Raisorwhip though.
Normal Evolution atleast in our world does not take place in 1300 years. That’s way to less time for evolution especially for dragons who have a rather long lifespann in the animal world. It’s also stated that the dragons came from the hidden world (in the hidden world movie) which would not make eveloution necessary to adapt to the environment. Evolution, atleast rapid Evolution takes massive environmental changes to occure. When the dragons came from there they are adapted to live in the cave. The last evolutionary step to the modern human that we are was probably around 50-60 thousand years ago. That means you could go back in time steal a baby and raise it as a modern human and it would not be recognisable. Humans and dragons probably have similar lifespans which would make large changes impossible. Only possible changes are like that eyes get a bit better in seeing in the dark.
The new dragons were also locked up in the cave back in toothless times and not evolved new I think. Or is it anywhere stated that they eveolved in that time in the cave? I am not that deep into it.
The only thing I can’t explain is the lightning blast of thunder which is in every way dump and distroys this dragon entirely for me.
@@skai7282 the hidden world was in a cave but that doesn't mean they didn't go out my dude. there may have been tunnels and secret free human habitats in which they could be without worries.
the only thing that bothers me is the fact that the skrill is even IN there. Skrill's are territorial and they live alone so how the heck did those kids find one in those caves? they also don't like closed spaces and prefer the air and freedom rather then caves. So i have NO idea how they are going to explain how the Skrill is there.
@@AlejandroRodriguez-cy8ee ich know that it was in an cave and my point was that they are in the cave or world where they originally came from so the dragons wouldn’t change much/ at all.
The Skrill was probably frozen by the bewilderbeast from Draco and brought there. (This is a joke)

One thing they did change for the Skrill seems to be its size, being several times larger, unless Thunder is just tiny compared to toothless

Rescue riders was admittedly pretty for kids but it was a pretty imaginative series considering the running time. But here they clearly either got little time or went in with no idea of what they wanted to create.

I really do not like the fact that they use two different type of animation and it feels like they just want to show how they have changed from super cool well design and realistic animation to regular small budget animation i feel that they change from making people smile to only wanting money

I also think that dragons arent magical but is just like animals but I think some of them can live for "maybe" a thousand years. But I think it varies on species
Honestly we all probably figured there would be a movie or series where dragons would be thrown into the modern world.
Personally, I was hoping it would be something along the lines that the siblings or something (I mean so that some of them were already adults) would seek out the Dragon World and Berk they've heard about with family books or stories but instead we got the most stereotypical serial.

They probably did this thing where the split one season into two seasons. Online streaming sites is kind of infamous for this. Yeah, but good for you. I was introduced to your channel through that episode, so definitely deserved!
I mean, the alpha dragons could definitely live for centuries if not thousands of years given their size and how hiccups clan had been fighting that one nest for generations. But seeing its just a rehash again and again, I'd say they're just trying to move from the movies to copying the show. Dreamworks seems to be under a lot of pressure from NBCUniversal to make cheaper animation products faster then before. Not to mention making far more 'marketable' stories and series. IE Croods, Boss Baby, The Bad Guys, Trolls. The only stuff that isn't that formula of sitcom style adventure is the stuff from before the merger that was brand popular, but has been significantly milked and filed down. Dreamworks seemed to still have some creative freedom working with Netflix, but now that they are being forcibly moved to Universal's Peacock, and their partially controlled Hulu service, their budget just seems to grow smaller, and their writing and show staff more forced into making Illumination like content and less Disney/Dreamworks renaissance content

I'm so glad they brought the skrill and the razorwhip it confirms that all dragons left safely to the hidden world back yes every single dragon left to the hidden world but only the berkian dragons but I'm glad the dragons we know and love all made it safely, also zombie dragons this might get interesting for me also thunders design should've been white with green eyes instead as opposed to toothless black scales, make him look like toothless son pouncer he has white scales. In the books the seasdragonus giganticus maximus takes "thousands and thousands of years" just to reach its prime (presumably similar to a humans prime age of twenty-ish - thirty-ish (I think)).
P.s. in the books night furys aren't a thing and Toothless is a green baby seadragonus giganticus maximus.

It makes sense that the Skrill is unchanged. This may be because the skrill hibernates in ice for myriads of years, so this phenomenon kinda makes sense since it being in ice may have stopped it from evolving?I dunno honestly.

All the dragon designs in this show are uninspired imo. One of the things about the movies is that its dragons have such original and interesting concepts! Even with this show's smaller budget, it should be better than this. :/
The graphics are shit.
The animation is wooden.
They are bringing Skrill which looks out of 5his movie. It doesn't fit at all with the new style.
Why would they change the skrill skin and model? Bet he just got sent into a frozen sleep for a few more... thousand years.

Some species can stay the same even for millions of years I mean look at crocodilians there are some crocodilians species that were different but as a species they remained pretty much the same so it’s not far fetched
That the Skirll and Razorwhip can evolve into a different species because some species can remain practically the same
Normally you'd be right, but the other dragons evolved in such a short time span(for evolution anyway), it just seems weird how they didn't change at all. But I guess we'll see when the show premieres.

Mist-twisters,Featherhides,and Gembreakers could’ve been around during the events of the hidden world….after all the director of the trilogy did state the hidden world was a massive underground worldwide caldera meaning those species could’ve been there
What doesn’t make any sense is the night light species being around….after all the night fury part of the genome would be almost completely extinct by this point
Meaning Thunder should be a light fury….
P.S episode 2 & 3 included the Terrible Terror in it and they haven’t changed at all since they went to the hidden world

I like how they are bringing back the Original dragons like the skrill and razorwhip hopefully in future seasons they bring back deathgrappers, cloudjumpers, whispering deaths, thunderdrum, triple stryke, quaken there a bunch they can use. But the unicon dragon things are ugly ngl.

Im very glad Skrill came back finally but the animation that make from him in Nine Realms is very bad, Thunder is very agressive for it just like Toothless in RTTE and i am so sad for it. Also congratulation for 13k sub ^^.
oh god the 6 month gaps, and half seasons. Basically when Voltron Legendary Defender started to rEally go downhill...guess they didnt learn from it :/

Honestly if you watch the actually season it is not as good as the trailer. Unfortunately it seems like a rip-off from the original series. My advice: watch the trilogies before. If you finish them watch them again, and all of series in between, the Dragon: series. Much better than this “Nine Realms”
I think it's really funny how they throw in the old Razorwhip and Skrill with actually compelling designs with the new shitass dragons, and it makes the new ones looks so much worse than they already did

I really hope that the nine realms season two will be an improvement from the first one. The one wasn’t the the worst thing I’ve ever watched but it definitely wasn’t great.
