This song, and this whole album, is so nostalgic for me. The amount of runs I went on over the summer that started with this, back before I had spotify so I just used youtube. Oliver won't ever see this comment, but regardless, thank you man. Every time I here a song from the album I'm reminded of that summer. Running 3 miles every morning, mopping floors at an ice cream store or washing dishes at my other job. All of those scenes of the summer of 2020 come back to me clear as day with each song. It was a great summer.

Ugly is beautiful is honestly such a perfect title. Not only is it, by definition, an oxymoron, it also calls to attention the fact that there really is no reason why ugly people can't also be beautiful.
It doesn't get more contradictory than that. Ugly cannot be beautiful because of their definitions. But if we think of beautiful as something temporary like a trend then it would be possible to make space for the not so handsome people.
This song sounds like something they would play in a movie when the main character is finally realizing they don’t belong and pack a bag and drive as far away at night as fast as possible and never look back.
This song is the most relatable and understanding of them all. Oliver if your reading this I just want to tell you that your music has teached me that being an outcast isn't always a bad thing. It honestly is a life changing lesson since I've been bullied for most of my life..Thank you bro

I can relate to the lines "im fealing fairly wear and i can barely speak, i started to freak out cause i can barely talk i feel too weak to walk." For my whole life ive gotten sick very often, and in this last 2 and a half years this cyst started growing in my throat to the point where it was so big that i couldnt talk and it was getting hard to breathe and i got hospitalized 3 times for it and had 2 surgeries to cut it out. My last surgery was about a week ago so im hoping that fixes it for good, and hopefully that will stop me from getting sick all the time as well.
I hope one day the joke and the meme drops and he's able to just acknowledge his music and stuff he's written and we can get an even greater appreciation for him
