Maybe this is closer to what George had in mind, writing that album, sending cassette tapes back and forth?

Great sound!! Ripper’s adaptation is very good. This singer is a beast. A different twist to the original but, I sure as hell can still listen to it while working out. Love the Lynch, and Mason combinations

I like it heavier like this, but I also prefer John Corabi to Vince Neil in Motley Crue. But the original is the original. Sucks to have to compare when in both cases, both are great in their own respect.

This ain't supposed to be 100% in comparison to the original, it's a remake, granted 3 out of the 4 members are accounted for. They weren't trying to match everything note for note, or vocal for vocal. I am not sure why everyone is comparing this to the original, it's different, so shut thy mouths.

Everybody always has to get into comparing Sebastian Bach to Don Dokken. It's not about that. For those fans of both Skid Row and Dokken from old, it's just neat to hear Sebastian do Don's song. It does not take away from Don's greatness nor Sebastian's greatness. It's like if we heard Jon Bon Jovi do a version of Poison's "Every Rose Has it's Thorn". That would be really interesting. Wires cross in my brain. Now I gotta hear Don Dokken do "I remember you".

  • @tdrewke

I don't know where the sour grapes are coming from, this perf is not weak at all. I do wonder about the key, but overall, crisp metal rock. On this cut, vocal reminds me of Ronnie James Dio. Excellent technical recording too, much better than old Dokken stuff here on u-T. And face it, lead gtr is smokin!

HA! You are obviously tone deaf. 1. Don Dokken is one of the best rock singers to come out of the 80's. 2. Ripper's vocals are fucking killer on this song! 3. you meant "these high class singers" not "This" why don't you go listen to some modern country music if you want shit to complain about.

Production sheen is missing on this one. It sounds like something recorded in someones bedroom studio. Digital has made it affordable to record and put out material that is lower than demo quality so should never see the light of day.

I just hoped from now on classic & 80's era bands never detuned..it pisses me off..otherwise the original feel we associate with them is gone..still in awe of Ripper trying to put a Dio*Priest spin on this..no haters please i liked this but just not in favor of detuned sound.🤗

Yikes. I was expecting so much more. This sounds like if "Back for the Attack" went to Broadway. If he held back just a little, it'd be amazing. BUT, with that said, Don's voice is not one that can be copied, so I like that Ripper is going for his own version here. I like it. Those wails are intense.

Is just another song, Tim didn´t get the original touch, I prefer further Don Dokken on vocals, Tim is just singing this as everything without soul, where´s the magic? Anyway, George Lynch is doing an awesome work as always!

I felt like that when I was singing motley crue songs after Rob halford songs... I would sing motley crue songs in my range... because talk singing is not my thing... I thought shout at the devil sounded mean way way up 3 to 4 octaves higher then Vince Neil sings
