Great conversation! I agree with Yidne when he's saying that the close relationship exhibited by the parents might confuse the children. I believe that the parents should have an open conversation with their children and see how they feel about it, if they haven't done so already. I also agree with Elf's stand on separating on good terms because the children might benefit more from the healthy relationship their parents have instead of the parents forcing themselves in staying in an unhealthy marriage.
